Link a Nutritional Facts Table Entry To a PLU
Press the F-PROG and PLU keys simultaneously.
Select the PLU number you want to link. To demonstrate we chose 1.
Press the right arrow key until you reach the last field, numbered 58.
Select the nutritional facts record you want to link and press Amend to confirm.
The program will revert back to the first step of the linking procedure.
Now you can either link the next nutritional fact record or press the Sale button to exit.

Enabling PLU Fields for Programming
You may not have a need for all of the 37 fields that are available in a PLU.
To make data entry in the PLU programming screen more efficient hide the unneeded fields.
Lets begin by pressing the Prog key.
Select number 3 to go to the 3rd level.
Press the right arrow key to go to the PLU F-step menu.
You will see P32 in the TARE screen.
If it’s not the case press the SALE button and restart.
Press Accu/Confirm to enter the field selection mode.
This allows you to hide or show each individual field by choosing 0 to show or 1 to hide.
For a description of all the fields available, please refer to your manual.
Here is a quick overview of the available fields.
Once you are done press Amend.
Press Sale to return to normal mode.
PLU Price Change
Press on the corresponding PLU.
Enter the new price.
Press the @ Price key until the scale beeps.
The price is saved and when you call up the PLU again, you see the updated price.
Set Specs
To set the specs you press Prog and F-Prog simultaneously.
This brings you to the parameter settings. You should see F12 in the TARE screen.
If not press the SALE button and restart.
Use the right and left arrow keys to scroll from one parameter to the next or press the X key
and enter the specification number you wish to edit.
Press Accu/Confirm to select desired specification.

Do not modify a parameter unless you are sure of its purpose otherwise you might render
the scale unusable.
For a description of the parameter setting please refer to your user guide.
To make a change enter a new value using the numeric keyboard and press Amend.
For example we want to use format number 10 as our new label format.
Press Amend to return to normal mode.
Programming a Speed Key
Press the F Prog button and the desired speed key simultaneously to link it with a PLU.
The selected speed key appears in the unit price field, and the PLU appears in the total price
field.
Set the PLU you want assigned to this button.
We use 2 in this example.
Press Amend to confirm.
To set the second level press the SHIFT button and then press the F Prog button and the
desired speed key simultaneously.
Press Amend to save.
Level Scale
To ensure the scale is level, lift the platter off of the scale.
Notice the leveling bubble on the left hand side.
Adjust the scales’ feet until the bubble is centered within the innermost ring.
Place the platter back on the scale.
Replacing the Label Roll
When you press print and hear this sound, it is time to replace the label roll.
E716 appears on your screen.
Open the printer compartment.
Release the thermal head.

Remove the retainer clip and set it aside.
Remove the empty label roll.
Make sure you remove a few labels from the start of the new roll.
Place the roll into the feeding spool making sure it unwinds between the sensors.
Clamp the start of the roll into the take-up spool using the retainer clip.
Clasp the thermal head back into place until locked.
Press Feed to ensure the printer works properly.
Close the printer compartment.
Save, Auto Print, Pre-Pack, Batch Print,
Save
Save mode is used to keep the PLU in memory to perform many transactions.
Press the save button.
Select the desired PLU.
Place the item on the platter.
Press Print to complete the transaction and print a label.
Note that when you remove the item from the platter the PLU stays active.
To complete the next transaction, place the next item on the platter and press print.
Press the Save key to exit.
Auto Print
In this mode the label will automatically print once the scale is stable.
Press the Auto Print button.
Select the desired PLU.
Place the item on the platter.
As soon as the scale is stable the label prints.
When you remove the item from the platter the PLU will clear.
Press the Auto Print button to exit.

Pre-Pack
Press the Pre-pack button.
This function will automatically print a label once the scale is stable and will keep the PLU
in memory.
Select a PLU.
Place the item on the platter.
The label will automatically print once the scale is stable.
Note that when you remove the item from the platter the PLU stays active.
When you place the next item on the platter, the label will automatically print once the scale
is stable.
Press the Prepack key to exit.
Batch Print
This function is for printing multiple labels.
Select the desired PLU.
Press the Batch Print button.
Press the Print button.
Enter the amount of labels you want to issue, in our case 2.
Press Accu/Confirm to validate.
The scale will issue 2 identical labels.
Populating the Nutritional Facts Table
Press the program key.
Press the right arrow key.
Press Accu/Confirm.
Press number 8 to enter the nutritional facts table.
Choose a record that you want to define.
We chose 1.
Press the right arrow key.

The description field will appear.
To change the description, press Accu/Confirm.
You can start entering the name using the alphanumeric keyboard on the scale
You can press on the IME key to toggle between uppercase and lowercase.
Use the END key to erase text that appears after the cursor.
Use the SHIFT key to change the case of a single character.
Press the Amend key to confirm.
Press the right arrow key to proceed to step two, which defines the serving size.
Press Accu/Confirm.
Use the END key to erase text that appears after the cursor.
Use the SHIFT key to change the case for a single character.
Once you are done, press the Amend key and the right arrow key to define the serving size
metric.
Press accu/confirm to define the measuring size. As an example we used 50 g.
Press the right arrow key to proceed to the next step.
Repeat until all steps are completed.
Please note that some of the fields are not necessarily being used in Canada, you can leave
those fields blank.
Once you reach the end of the fields, press Amend to confirm.
The program will revert back to the first step.
You can keep populating the nutritional fact table or press the Sale button to exit.
Create a PLU
Press F-Prog and PLU simultaneously.
Enter the number of the PLU you want to populate.
For this demonstration we chose 1.
Press the right arrow key.

The item code will appear in your barcode and is used by your POS system.
We will change it to 1,2,3,4,5 as an example.
Press the right arrow key to go to the next field.
In this field we can specify the different pricing method.
In our case we will define it as $/kg which is option 3.
Press the right arrow key to go to the next field.
We will now define the unit price as $5.21.
Press the right arrow key to confirm the unit price.
Define the tare weight as 50 g.
Press the right arrow key to confirm.
To edit the name, press on the Accu/Confirm key.
You can press on the IME key to toggle between upper and lower case.
Other input modes are available.
Use the END key to erase text that appears after the cursor.
Use the SHIFT key to change the case of a single character.
Press the Amend key to confirm.
Press the right arrow key to go to the next step.
This field is the 2nd line of the PLU name.
Follow the same steps as the first line to edit it.
Press Amend to confirm.
Press the right arrow key to go to the next field.
Choose 0 if you want the shelf life date to show on the label or 1 to omit it.
Confirm using the right arrow key.
Next we confirm the number of days for the shelf life.
We use 10 days in this example.
Press the right arrow key to go to the nutrition field.

Here we link a nutritional facts record to the selected PLU.
To demonstrate we used 1.

Press Amend to finalize the programming of this PLU.
The program will revert back to the first step of the PLU programming.
You can choose to program the next PLU or press the Sale button to exit.
