Tools and Materials
Before You Begin
Observe all local plumbing and building codes.
Shut off the main water supply.
Carefully inspect the waste and supply tubing for any sign of
damage.
Replace waste or supply tubing if necessary.
For new installations, install the faucet before installing the
lavatory.
Kohler Co. reserves the right to make revisions in the design of
faucets without notice, as specified in the Price Book.

1. Spout Installation
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the spout escutcheon according to the putty manufacturer’s
instructions.
Thread the shank assembly locknut down against the supply tee.
Remove and discard the plastic thread protector from the shank
assembly.
Starting from the left front side of the lavatory, there are five
mounting holes (Hot-Spout-Cold-Dispenser-Handspray). Insert
the shank assembly from underneath the lavatory up into the
second hole from the left.
Thread the spout escutcheon to the shank assembly until 3/8″(1
cm) of the shank thread is exposed above the escutcheon.
Carefully press the spout onto the shank. Securely hand tighten
the spout to the shank assembly.
Thread the spout escutcheon counterclockwise until it stops.
Ensure that the lift rod hole faces the back of the lavatory.
Locate the ″Cold″inlet hole on the underside of the lavatory. It is
marked blue on the supply tee. Turn the supply tee until the
″Cold″inlet faces the ″Cold″valve. The ″Cold″handle valve is
also marked blue.
Securely tighten the locknut on the shank with a wrench. Do not
overtighten.
Remove any excess putty or sealant.

2. Dispenser Installation
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the dispenser flange according to the putty manufacturer’s
instructions.
Starting from the left front side of the lavatory, there are five
mounting holes (Hot-Spout-Cold-Dispenser-Handspray). Insert
the dispenser into the fourth hole from the left.
From the underside of the lavatory, slide the locknut onto the
dispenser shank. Tighten the locknut until the dispenser is
securely installed onto the lavatory.
Thread the bottle onto the dispenser shank.
Remove any excess putty or sealant.

3. Handspray Installation
Remove and save the locknut from the spray escutcheon.
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the spray escutcheon according to the putty manufacturer’s
instructions.
Starting from the left front side of the lavatory there are five
(Hot-Spout-Cold-Dispenser-Handspray) mounting holes. Insert
the spray escutcheon into the fifth hole from the left.
From the underside of the lavatory, thread the locknut to the
spray escutcheon. Tighten the locknut with a wrench. Do not
overtighten.
Remove any excess putty or sealant.
Insert the handspray hose through the spray escutcheon.
From the underside of the lavatory, thread the handspray hose
onto the supply tee shank. Securely tighten the handspray hose
with a wrench. Do not overtighten.

4. Handle Valve Installation
NOTE: The valve body marked ″Cold″(with blue lettered tape
attached to the tube) should be installed to the right of the faucet.
Insert the valve bodies into the proper mounting holes.
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the escutcheons according to the putty manufacturer’s
instructions.
Install a washer and a nut onto the underside of each valve body.
Rotate each valve body until the copper tubing faces towards the
outside of the lavatory.
While holding the valve bodies in place, securely tighten the
locknuts with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Remove any excess putty or sealant.

5. Flexible Hose Installation
Thread a flexible hose onto each handle valve outlet.
Securely tighten the hose with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Connect the flexible hoses to the supply tee. Do not use thread
sealant. To avoid kinking the hoses, loop them as shown. Securely
tighten the hose with a wrench. Do not overtighten.

6. Drain Style
Refer to the illustrations above to determine the drain style you
received with your faucet.
Please follow the instructions for your drain style.

7. Drain Installation-Style A
Remove the protective material from the flange.
Wrap the bottom 2/3 of the flange threads with three layers of
sealant tape.
Apply a ring of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the flange according to the putty manufacturer’s instructions.
Insert the flange into the fixture drain hole.
Assemble the gasket (tapered side up) and washer to the flange
and partially thread the nut to the flange. Do not fully tighten the
nut at this time.
Install the body washer and drain body with the seal hole facing
the back of the fixture and securely tighten the nut. Use care to
avoid scratching the finish.
Remove any excess putty or sealant.
Insert the stopper into the flange.
Insert the seal into the seal hole on the body.

8. Complete Drain Installation-Style A
For regular installations, insert the short end of the rod into the
body seal hole and under the stopper. For vandal-resistant
installations, fit the rod through the hole in the stopper. Secure
with the body nut.
Remove and adjust the stopper so it lifts about 3/8″(1 cm) when
opened. To adjust, loosen the stopper nut and shorten or lengthen
the stopper as needed. Tighten the stopper nut.
Apply three layers of thread tape and a small bead of pipe
sealant to the tailpiece threads.
Thread the tailpiece to the body and tighten securely.
Slide one end of the clip onto the rod. Slide the link onto the rod
with the thumbscrew facing the back of the fixture.
Squeeze the other end of the clip, aligning the hole with the rod.
Move the link to the proper position by squeezing the clip and
sliding it along the rod.
Insert the lift rod into the hole in the faucet and then into the
hole in the link.
Tighten the thumbscrew onto the link so the lift rod knob extends
above the lift rod hole.

9. Drain Installation-Style B
Remove the protective cover from the flange.
Apply a ring of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside
of the flange according to the putty manufacturer’s instructions.
Assemble the nut, flat washer, and tapered gasket (tapered side
up) fully onto the body.
From the underside of the fixture, insert the drain body up into
the drain hole.
From the top of the fixture, securely hand tighten the flange onto
the drain body.
Make sure the drain body seal hole is facing the back of the
fixture, and securely tighten the nut.
Remove any excess putty or sealant.

10. Complete Drain Installation-Style B
Press the seal into the seal hole on the body.
Insert the stopper into the flange.
For regular installations, insert the short end of the rod into the
body seal hole and under the stopper. For vandal-resistant
installations, fit the rod through the hole in the stopper. Hand
tighten the body nut.
Remove and adjust the stopper as needed so it lifts about 3/8″(1
cm) when opened. To adjust, rotate the threaded stopper rod in or
out as needed. Retighten the stopper nut.
Apply thread sealant tape to the tailpiece threads, and thread the
tailpiece to the body. Tighten the tailpiece securely.
Slide one end of the clip onto the rod. Slide the link onto the rod
with the thumbscrew facing the back of the fixture.
Squeeze the other end of the clip, aligning the hole with the rod.
Move the link to the proper position by squeezing the clip and
sliding it along the rod.
Insert the lift rod into the hole in the faucet and then into the
hole in the link.
Tighten the thumbscrew onto the link so the lift rod knob extends
1/2″(1.3 cm) above the lift rod hole.

11. Supply Connections
Install the lavatory using the lavatory manufacturer’s instructions.
Connect the supply tubes to the handle valves, and the supply
stops. Left is hot and right is cold.

12. Installation Checkout
Connect the tailpiece and P-trap (as needed).
Ensure that all connections are tight.
Remove the aerator by turning it counterclockwise.
Open the drain.
Turn on the main water supply and check for leaks. Repair as
needed.
Open both hot and cold valves and run water through the spout
for about a minute to remove debris. Check for leaks. Turn valves
off.
Remove any debris from the aerator and reinstall.

Avant de Commencer
Respecter tous les codes de plomberie et de bâtiment locaux.
Couper l’arrivée d’eau principale.
Vérifier avec soin si les tubes d’évacuation ou d’arrivée d’eau
sont endommagés.
Replacer les tubes d’alimentation ou d’évacuation si nécessaire.
Pour les nouvelles poses, installer le robinet avant d’installer le
lavabo.

1. Installation du bec
Appliquer du mastic de plombier ou un produit similaire sous le
bec selon les instructions du fabricant du mastic.
Visser l’ensemble contre-écrou de la tige contre le Té
d’alimentation.
Retirer et jeter la pellicule de plastique protectrice de l’ensemble
de la tige.
En commençant du côté avant-gauche du lavabo, il y a cinq trous
de fixation (Chaud-Bec-Froid-Distributeur-Vaporisateur). Insérer
l’ensemble de la tige du dessous du lavabo vers le haut à travers
le second trou à gauche.
Visser la base du bec sur l’ensemble de la tige jusqu’à 3/8″(1 cm)
du filetage de la tige.
Presser délicatement le bec sur la tige. Serrer à la main le bec à
l’ensemble de la tige.
Visser le bec vers la gauche jusqu’à la fin. S’assurer que l’orifice
de la tige de levage soit orientée vers l’arrière du lavabo.
Localiser l’orifice du ″Cold″sous le lavabo. Il est indiqué en bleu
sur le Té d’alimentation. Tourner le Té d’alimentation jusqu’à ce
que l’entrée ″Cold″soit de face à la valve ″Cold″. La poignée de
la valve ″Cold″est aussi marquée en bleu.
Serrer fermement le contre-écrou à l’aide d’une clé à tuyaux. Ne
pas trop serrer.

2. Installation du Distributeur
Appliquer du mastic d’étanchéité ou un produit semblable sur le
dessous du distributeur selon les instructions du fabricant du
mastic.
En commencant du côté avant-gauche du lavabo, il y a cinq trous
de fixation (Chaud-Bec-Froid-Distributeur-Vaporisateur). Insérer le
distributeur dans le quatrième trou de la gauche.
Du dessous du lavabo, glisser le contre-écrou sur la tige du
distributeur. Serrer le contre-écrou jusqu’à ce que le distributeur
soit bien installé sur le lavabo.
Visser la bouteille sur la tige du distributeur.
Enlever tout excédent de mastic d’étanchéité.

3. Installation du Vaporisateur
Retirer et conserver le contre-écrou du vaporisateur.
Appliquer du mastic d’étanchéité ou un produit semblable sur le
dessous d’applique du vaporisateur selon les instructions du
fabricant du mastic.
En commençant du côté avant-gauche du lavabo, il y a cinq trous
de fixation (Chaud-Bec-Froid-Distributeur-Vaporisateur). Insérer le
vaporisateur dans le cinquième trou de la gauche.
Du dessous du lavabo, glisser le contre-écrou sur la tige du
vaporisateur. Serrer fermement le contre-écrou à l’aide d’une clé.
Ne pas trop serrer.
Enlever tout excédent de mastic d’étanchéité.
Introduire le tuyau du vaporisateur dans le vaporisateur.
Du dessous du lavabo, visser le tuyau du vaporisateur sur le T
d’alimentation. Serrer fermement le tuyau du vaporisateur à
l’aide d’une clé. Ne pas trop serrer.

4. Installation de la Poignée de la Valve
REMARQUE : Le corps de la valve marquée ″Cold″(avec une lettre
appliquée au tube) devrait être installé à droite du robinet.
Insérer les corps de valves dans les trous de fixation respectifs.
Appliquer du mastic d’étanchéité ou un produit semblable sous
les appliques, selon les instructions du fabricant du mastic.
Installer une rondelle et un écrou sur le côté inférieur de chaque
corps de valve.
Pivoter chaque corps de valve jusqu’à ce que le tuyau en cuivre
fasse face à l’extérieur du lavabo.
Tout en maintenant les corps de valves en place, bien serrer les
contre-écrous avec une clé. Ne pas trop serrer.
Enlever tout excédent de mastic d’étanchéité.
