Before You Begin
CAUTION: Risk of persoanl injury. Always wear safety glasses while cutting or drilling.
IMPORTANT! Pay special attention to the section titled ″Very Important Instructions″. Failure to follow
the directions could result in product damage.
Your new Kohler door can be installed with the door opening to either the right or left.
Before starting the installation, lay out and identify all of the parts. Inspect them for damage.
Refer to the actual size profile of parts used in each installation step to ensure correct installation.
Place the part over the profile to match the part to the step.
For clarity, illustrations in theses instructions show a right side hinge installation. Reverse the steps
for left side hinge installations.
It is recommended that two people perform this installation.

1. Determine the Door Configuration
IMPORTANT! Separate assembly instructions may apply depending on which pivot configuration is
chosen. For purposes of these instructions, a ″left hinge″installation is shown.
IMPORTANT! It is recommended that the pivot side of the door be installed on the side opposite the
showerhead.
Determine whether the door will pivot on the right or left side.
Make sure the door can swing freely in the chosen configuration.
2. Install the Adjustment Clamps
Insert four adjustment clamps into each wall jamb (eight total).
Partially thread a #8-18 x 3/4″flathead screw through each pre-drilled hole in the wall jambs and
into an adjustment clamp using the 3/32″hex wrench provided. Do not fully tighten the screws at
this time.

3. Locate the Strike Side Wall Jamb
Position the wall jamb with the base centered on the shower threshold.
Make a pencil mark at the bottom pre-drilled hole.
Remove the wall jamb.
NOTE: When drilling through tile, use a masonry bit to help prevent the tile from chipping or cracking.
Drill a pilot hole at the mark with a 3/16″drill bit.
Insert a wall anchor into the hole.
Secure the wall jamb loosely in place using a #8-18 x 2″panhead screw.
Plumb the wall jamb using a level.
Make a pencil mark at each of the three remaining pre-drilled holes.
Move the wall jamb out of the way.
Drill a pilot hole at each of the marks with a 3/16″drill bit. Thoroughly clean the shower ledge.
Insert a wall anchor into each hole.
Secure the wall jambs in place using three #8-18 x 2″panhead screws.
Repeat for the other wall jamb, making sure it is directly opposite the installed wall jamb.

4. Install the Bottom Track
Measure from left side stop to right side stop (dimension A).
Mark dimension ″A″on the bottom track with a pencil.
Cut the bottom track at the mark.
Taking care to avoid marring the finished surfaces, use a file to remove any burrs.
NOTE: When positioning the bottom track in the wall jambs, it helps to slide the back edge of the bottom
track in first, then gently twist the bottom track until the larger lip pops into position.
Insert the bottom track and check for proper fit. The larger lip of the bottom track should face
toward the outside of the shower. The ends of the bottom track should fit snugly against the front
protrusions in the wall jambs.
Remove the bottom track.
Apply silicone sealant in the groove at the bottom front edge of the bottom track.
Install the bottom track.

5. Assemble and Attach the Hinge Jamb
Lay the hinge jamb on the floor or on a workbench. Use a drop cloth to protect the product finish.
Insert the hinge into the slot on the hinge jamb. The slots in the hinge should be on the outside
edge of the hinge.
Secure the hinge to the hinge jamb using four #8-18 x 3/8″panhead screws (provided). Make sure
the top edge of the hinge is flush with top edge of the hinge jamb before tightening the screws.
Align the slotted holes on the hinge with the channel in the door panel. Make sure top edge of the
hinge assembly is flush with the top of the channel.

6. Assemble the Door
Align the slotted holes on the hinge with the channel in the door panel. Make sure top edge of the
hinge assembly is flush with the top of the channel.
Install the hinge jamb cap on the top of the hinge jamb where it aligns with edge of door.
Secure the hinge to the door panel using four #8-18 x 3/8″panhead screws (provided).
NOTE: Leave a small gap at the handle side of the door for clearance from the strike jamb. The door will
not close properly without this gap.

7. Install the Strike Jamb
Position the latch in the strike jamb.
Using the 5/64″hex wrench provided, tighten the two screws to secure the latch in place.
Repeat with the second latch.
Push the strike jamb into the appropriate wall jamb with the wide lip facing toward the inside of
the shower. Each slot in the strike jamb will slide over the screw body and fit between the clamp
and wall jamb.
Secure the strike jamb to the wall jamb by tightening the flathead screws with the 3/32″hex wrench
until snug.
Install a strike jamb cap on the top opening of the strike jamb.
Use a scissors or utility knife to cut any excess bulb seal away so the seal is flush with the top of
the strike jamb.

8. Install the Door
CAUTION: Risk of injury or product damage. Unframed tempered glass should not contact hard
surfaces or it may shatter. Do not touch the edge of the tempered glass panel with tools or any hard
objects. Do not set the unframed tempered glass directly on the floor.
Slide the hinge jamb into the other wall jamb. Each slot in the hinge jamb will slide over the screw
body and fit between the clamp and wall jamb.
Tighten the four flathead screws, using the 3/32″hex wrench, until snug.
9. Adjust and Secure the Door
The glass on the door should be aligned evenly with the back edge of the bulb seal. The edge of the
glass should be 3/16″(5 mm) from the strike jamb.

If the door needs adjusting, loosen the screws holding the hinge jamb in place (do not remove) and
shift the assembly as needed. Adjust the strike jamb in the same manner. The door may be adjusted
3/4″(1.9 cm) on each side.
When each side of the door is uniformly aligned, fully tighten the screws.

10. Install the End Caps
Install the end caps to the top of the wall jambs. Flat edges should be toward the wall.
11. Install the Handles
Thread the setscrew into the handle with the logo.
Slide a spacer over the setscrew.
Slide the handle assembly through the hole in the glass door, making sure the logo is facing the
outside of the shower. Do not fully tighten.
Slide the second spacer over the other end of the setscrew. Thread the second handle onto the
setscrew.
Fully tighten both of the handles evenly, making sure the logo is properly oriented.
12. Caulk the Shower Door
Apply silicone sealant to the outside of the shower where the wall jambs meet the wall.
Apply sealant to the outside of the shower where the bottom track meets the floor.
Starting on the hinge side of the glass, press the bottom seal onto the bottom of the door panel.

La porte Kohler neuve peut être installée avec ouverture à droite ou à gauche.
Avant de commencer l’installation, préparer et identifier toutes les pièces. Vérifier que les pièces
sont en bon état.
Se reporter aux illustrations de dimensions réelles pour assurer une pose correcte. Placer la pièce sur
le profilé correspondant.
Pour la clarté, l’installation d’une charnière à droite est illustrée dans ces instructions. Inverser les
étapes pour les installations d’une charnière à gauche.
Il est recommandé que deux personnes effectuent cette installation.

1. Détermination de la configuration de la porte
IMPORTANT ! D’autres instructions d’assemblage peuvent s’appliquer selon la configuration du pivot
choisie. Pour les besoins de cette notice, le côté de pivotement est illustré vers la gauche.
IMPORTANT ! Il est recommandé d’installer le côté du pivot de la porte du côté opposé de la pomme de
douche.
Déterminer si la porte va pivoter sur la droite ou sur la gauche.
S’assurer du libre débattement de la porte dans la configuration retenue.
2. Installation des attaches de réglage
Introduire quatre attaches de réglage dans chaque montant de paroi (huit au total).
Visser partiellement une vis à tête plate n° 8-18 x 3/4″dans chaque trou pré-percé des montants de
paroi et sur chaque attache de réglage à l’aide de la clé hexagonale de 3/32″fournie. Ne pas serrer
les vis à fond à ce stade.

3. Localisation du montant de paroi de la butée
Centrer la base du montant de paroi sur le seuil de la douche.
Tracer un repère au crayon au niveau du trou pré-percé inférieur.
Enlever le montant de paroi.
REMARQUE : Lorsque du perçage sur des carreaux, utiliser une mèche à maçonnerie pour ne pas
fragmenter les carreaux.
Pré-percer un trou au niveau du repère avec une mèche de 3/16″.
Introduire une ancre murale dans le trou.
Fixer le montant de paroi avec une vis à tête ronde n° 8-18 x 2″sans la serrer.
Mettre d’aplomb le montant de paroi à l’aide d’un niveau.
Tracer un repère au crayon au niveau de chacun des trois trous pré-percés restants.
Mettre le montant de paroi à l’écart.
Percer un trou pilote à chaque emplacement avec une mèche de 3/16″. Nettoyer avec soin la pièce
d’appui de douche.
Introduire un dispositif d’ancrage mural dans chaque orifice.
Fixer les montants de paroi avec trois vis à tête ronde n° 8-18 x 2″.
Répéter ces étapes pour l’autre montant de paroi en s’assurant qu’il est directement opposé au
montant installé.

4. Installation du rail inférieur
Mesurer la distance séparant la butée latérale gauche de la butée latérale droite (dimension ″A″).
Marquer au crayon la dimension ″A″sur le rail inférieur.
Couper le rail inférieur au niveau du repère.
En prenant soin d’éviter de rayer le fini de la surface, utiliser une lime pour ébavurer.
REMARQUE : Le fait de glisser le bord arrière du rail inférieur en premier puis de la tordre doucement
jusqu’à ce que le bord le plus épais s’enclenche en position pour faciliter le positionnement du rail
inférieur dans les montants de paroi.
Insérer le rail inférieur et vérifier qu’elle s’adapte correctement. Le bord le plus épais du rail
inférieur doit être orienté vers l’extérieur de la douche. Les extrémités du rail inférieur doivent
s’adapter contre les saillies frontales des montants de paroi.
Retirer le rail inférieur.
Appliquer du produit d’étanchéité à la silicone au niveau du bord avant inférieur du rail inférieur.
Installer le rail inférieur.

5. Assemblage et fixation du montant à charnière
Placer le montant à charnière sur le sol ou sur un établi. Utiliser un linge propre pour protéger la
finition du produit.
Insérer la charnière dans la fente du montant à charnière. Les fentes de la charnière doivent être sur
le bord extérieur de la charnière.
Fixer la charnière au montant à charnière au moyen de quatre vis à tête ronde n° 8-18 x 3/8″
(fournies). S’assurer que le bord supérieur de la charnière affleure avec le bord supérieur du
montant à charnière avant de serrer les vis.
Aligner les fentes de la charnière avec le rail du panneau de porte. S’assurer que le bord supérieur
de la charnière affleure avec le haut du rail.

6. Assemblage de la porte
Aligner les fentes sur la charnière avec le rail du panneau de porte. S’assurer que le bord supérieur
de la charnière affleure avec le haut du rail.
Installer le capuchon de montant à charnière sur le dessus du montant, à l’endroit où il s’aligne avec
le bord de porte.
Fixer la charnière au panneau de la porte au moyen de quatre vis à tête ronde n° 8-18 x 3/8″
(fournies).
REMARQUE : Laisser un petit espace au niveau du côté de la poignée de la porte pour le dégagement de
la butée de porte. La porte ne pourra pas se fermer sans cet écartement.
Pendant le montage, s'assurer que
les bords supérieurs affleurent.

7. Installation de la butée de porte
Positionner le loquet sur la butée de porte.
Au moyen d’une clé hexagonale de 5/64″, serrer les deux vis pour fixer le loquet en place.
Répéter ces étapes avec le deuxième loquet.
Pousser la butée de porte dans le montant de paroi approprié avec le bord épais face à l’intérieur de
la douche. Chaque fente de la butée de porte passera sur le corps de vis pour après se loger entre
l’attache et le montant de paroi.
Fixer la butée de porte sur le montant de paroi en serrant les vis à tête plate avec la clé hexagonale
de 3/32″.
Installer un capuchon de butée de porte sur l’ouverture supérieure de la butée de porte.
Utiliser des ciseaux ou un cutter pour couper tout excès de joint à bulle de sorte que le joint affleure
avec le haut de la butée de porte.
