Before You Begin
CAUTION: Risk of persoanl injury. Always wear safety glasses while cutting or drilling.
IMPORTANT! Pay special attention to the section titled ″Very Important Instructions″. Failure to follow
the directions could result in product damage.
Your new Kohler door can be installed with the door opening to either the right or left.
Before starting the installation, lay out and identify all of the parts. Inspect them for damage.
Refer to the actual size profile of parts used in each installation step to ensure correct installation.
Place the part over the profile to match the part to the step.
For clarity, illustrations in theses instructions show a right side hinge installation. Reverse the steps
for left side hinge installations.
It is recommended that two people perform this installation.

1. Determine the Door Configuration
IMPORTANT! Separate assembly instructions may apply depending on which pivot configuration is
chosen. For purposes of these instructions, a ″left hinge″installation is shown.
IMPORTANT! It is recommended that the pivot side of the door be installed on the side opposite the
showerhead.
Determine whether the door will pivot on the right or left side.
Make sure the door can swing freely in the chosen configuration.
2. Install the Adjustment Clamps
Insert four adjustment clamps into each wall jamb (eight total).
Partially thread a #8-18 x 3/4″flathead screw through each pre-drilled hole in the wall jambs and
into an adjustment clamp using the 3/32″hex wrench provided. Do not fully tighten the screws at
this time.

3. Locate the Strike Side Wall Jamb
Position the wall jamb with the base centered on the shower threshold.
Make a pencil mark at the bottom pre-drilled hole.
Remove the wall jamb.
NOTE: When drilling through tile, use a masonry bit to help prevent the tile from chipping or cracking.
Drill a pilot hole at the mark with a 3/16″drill bit.
Insert a wall anchor into the hole.
Secure the wall jamb loosely in place using a #8-18 x 2″panhead screw.
Plumb the wall jamb using a level.
Make a pencil mark at each of the three remaining pre-drilled holes.
Move the wall jamb out of the way.
Drill a pilot hole at each of the marks with a 3/16″drill bit. Thoroughly clean the shower ledge.
Insert a wall anchor into each hole.
Secure the wall jambs in place using three #8-18 x 2″panhead screws.
Repeat for the other wall jamb, making sure it is directly opposite the installed wall jamb.

4. Install the Bottom Track
Measure from left side stop to right side stop (dimension A).
Mark dimension ″A″on the bottom track with a pencil.
Cut the bottom track at the mark.
Taking care to avoid marring the finished surfaces, use a file to remove any burrs.
NOTE: When positioning the bottom track in the wall jambs, it helps to slide the back edge of the bottom
track in first, then gently twist the bottom track until the larger lip pops into position.
Insert the bottom track and check for proper fit. The larger lip of the bottom track should face
toward the outside of the shower. The ends of the bottom track should fit snugly against the front
protrusions in the wall jambs.
Remove the bottom track.
Apply silicone sealant in the groove at the bottom front edge of the bottom track.
Install the bottom track.

5. Assemble and Attach the Hinge Jamb
Lay the hinge jamb on the floor or on a workbench. Use a drop cloth to protect the product finish.
Insert the hinge into the slot on the hinge jamb. The slots in the hinge should be on the outside
edge of the hinge.
Secure the hinge to the hinge jamb using four #8-18 x 3/8″panhead screws (provided). Make sure
the top edge of the hinge is flush with top edge of the hinge jamb before tightening the screws.
Align the slotted holes on the hinge with the channel in the door panel. Make sure top edge of the
hinge assembly is flush with the top of the channel.

6. Assemble the Door
Align the slotted holes on the hinge with the channel in the door panel. Make sure top edge of the
hinge assembly is flush with the top of the channel.
Install the hinge jamb cap on the top of the hinge jamb where it aligns with edge of door.
Secure the hinge to the door panel using four #8-18 x 3/8″panhead screws (provided).
NOTE: Leave a small gap at the handle side of the door for clearance from the strike jamb. The door will
not close properly without this gap.
Assemble, making sure

7. Install the Strike Jamb
Position the latch in the strike jamb.
Using the 5/64″hex wrench provided, tighten the two screws to secure the latch in place.
Repeat with the second latch.
Push the strike jamb into the appropriate wall jamb with the wide lip facing toward the inside of
the shower. Each slot in the strike jamb will slide over the screw body and fit between the clamp
and wall jamb.
Secure the strike jamb to the wall jamb by tightening the flathead screws with the 3/32″hex wrench
until snug.
Install a strike jamb cap on the top opening of the strike jamb.
Use a scissors or utility knife to cut any excess bulb seal away so the seal is flush with the top of
the strike jamb.

8. Install the Door
CAUTION: Risk of injury or product damage. Unframed tempered glass should not contact hard
surfaces or it may shatter. Do not touch the edge of the tempered glass panel with tools or any hard
objects. Do not set the unframed tempered glass directly on the floor.
Slide the hinge jamb into the other wall jamb. Each slot in the hinge jamb will slide over the screw
body and fit between the clamp and wall jamb.
Tighten the four flathead screws, using the 3/32″hex wrench, until snug.
9. Adjust and Secure the Door
The glass on the door should be aligned evenly with the back edge of the bulb seal. The edge of the
glass should be 3/16″(5 mm) from the strike jamb.
