Getting to kno w the ploug h
This chapter provides information on the plough. You can learn about
correct use of the plough and its features as well as technical informa-
tion.
Proper use
This plough is intended to be used for ploughing. Any other use of the
plough, e.g. as for lifting or pulling operations, is deemed improper
use. The manufacturer and dealer are not liable for damage caused
by improper use.
Features
Two types of beams
The EO plough is equipped with the Kverneland automatic stone re-
lease. The simple multi-leaf spring system allows the plough bodies to
release over stones and other solid objects in the ground in a smooth
and efficient manner. This avoids sudden jolts and possible damage.
Once the obstruction has been passed, the plough body automatically
returns to the correct ploughing depth.
The LO plough is equipped with a shear bolt beam. If impact is made
with a stone or another obstacle on the ground, the shear bolt shears
off, thereby protecting the plough against any potential damage.
Variable working width
The parallel construction on this plough you to continuously vary the
working width, either hydraulically or mechanically. This ensures the
optimal combination between tractor, plough and ground consistency.
Complete range of bodies
A complete range of plough bodies is available for all requirements.
Kverneland plough bodies offer excellent ploughing quality, are wear
resistant and have a low draft requirement.
Robust turning head
The plough's turning head is designed to have the centre of gravity
close to the tractor, thus minimising the lifting requirement as much as
possible.
Complete range of optional equipment
Optional equipment on the plough consists of a wide range of depth
wheels, skimmers, disc coulters and knives. These will meet your re-
quirements in terms of soil type and field conditions.
Wear resistant parts
All soil engaging parts have undergone a process of heat treatment.
This makes them extremely wear resistant, yet flexible to withstand
shocks.
The turning direction cannot be changed on the EO-LO
The plough can only turn with the bodies over the frame. When the
plough turns with the bodies over, it ensures the plough turns
smoothly. EO-LO is an on-land model, and cannot turn with the bodies
under the frame. Otherwise, the bodies will collide with the ground.
