Product Descripon
is a warning triangle used for situaons that require extra care and aenon.
In this document, the person being lied is referred to as the ”paent” and the person helping them is referred to
as the ”caregiver”.
RepoSheet Original accessory has been specially developed
by Liko to facilitate reposioning of the paent in bed. It is
ideal for moving the paent higher up in the bed and turning
the paent with the aid of a li, with minimal physical eort
by the caregiver.
Reposioning can be done by one person, but we
recommend that two caregivers assist, since this is a
mesaving and ecient way to work.
RepoSheet Original accessory can be used in combinaon
with, or instead of, an ordinary bed sheet.
Two models are available; Regular, for liing up to
200 kg (440 lbs.), and Ultra, for liing up to 500 kg (1100
lbs.). For retained maximum load, li/accessories intended
for the same load or more are required.
RepoSheet Original accessory is available in two dierent
materials. In most cases the design in polyester/coon is
recommended, which has a so and comfortable surface.
Net polyester is recommended in cases where the paent
is supported on a special matress, a so called low-air-loss
matress, for pressure sore treatment.
When lateral transfer is performed using the RepoSheet
accessory, it is crical that a sucient number of li
straps are connected to the sling bar to ensure that the
paent gets sucient support under the body for a safe
liing during the transfer. Also, take care to assure that no
unconnected loop straps are dangling in such a manner as
to catch on any objects in the path of movement.
RepoSheet Original accessory is best used in combinaon
with overhead lis. We recommend LikoGuard™overhead
li, Likorall™ overhead li or Mulrall™ overhead li. For
a maximum load of 500 kg (1100 lbs) an Ultra li system is
required. See last page for recommended sling bars.
RepoSheet Original accessory is not intended for liing
and transferring from a supine to a sing posion. In these
cases we recommend using our slings, which are available in
many dierent models.

Keep the Following in Mind:
• A responsible person within your organizaon should decide on a case-by-case basis whether one or more caregivers are
needed.
• Ensure that this accessory selected meets the paent’s needs with reference to model, size, fabric and design.
• Plan the transfer operaon carefully to make it as safe and smooth as possible.
• Before liing, check that the liing accessory hangs vercally and can move freely.
• Although Liko’s sling bars are equipped with latches, parcular care should be taken: Before the paent is lied from the
underlying surface, but aer the straps have been fully extended, make sure the straps are properly hooked to the sling bar.
• Never li a paent higher o the underlying surface than is needed to complete the liing and transfer procedure.
• Never leave a paent unaended during a liing situaon.
• Make sure the wheels on the bed are locked during operaon. This is especially important when turning the paent.
• Use bed rails when turning the paent, especially if only one caregiver is performing the operaon.
• Make sure that the RepoSheet accessory’s unconnected strap loops do not become stuck, for example, in the bed during
use.
• During transfers, the caregivers should hold on to the sling bar and/or support the paent from underneath. Avoid pulling
the li straps as that can damage the RepoSheet accessory.
• Always work ergonomically.
IMPORTANT!
Moving a paent always involves a certain amount of risk, therefore, you should study the instrucon guide for both the li and
liing accessories before use. It is important that you clearly understand the contents of the instrucon guide. Only personnel,
who are trained in the product’s use, should use the equipment. Ensure that the liing accessories are suitable for the li used.
Observe cauon and care during use. As a caregiver, you are always responsible for the paent’s safety. You must ensure you
assess and are informed of the paent’s ability to handle the move/transfer. If there is something you are unclear about, contact
the manufacturer or the supplier.
Maximum Load
Dierent maximum allowable loads may apply to dierent products in the assembled li system: rail system, li unit, sling bar,
sling and other accessories. For the total li system, the lowest max. allowable load indicated for the respecve product in the
system applies.
Care and Maintenance
Inspect RepoSheet accessory regularly, especially aer it has been washed. Pay parcular aenon to wear and damage to
seams, fabric, li straps and loop straps. Do not use damaged products.
If there is something you are unclear about, contact the manufacturer or the supplier.

Liko Slings”.
Expected Life Time
The product has an expected life me of 2 years during normal use. Life me varies depending on fabric, use frequency,
washing procedure, and weight carried.
Periodic Inspecon
The product must be inspected at least once every 6 months. More frequent inspecons might be required if the product is
used or washed more oen than normal. See Liko’s protocol Periodic Inspecon for the respecve product.

Procedure
The rst me RepoSheet Original accessory is placed on the
bed, it is easiest if the paent is rst lied up from the bed in
a sling, for example, Liko So Original HighBack Sling, Mod.
26. RepoSheet Original liing accessory can be used on its
own or in combinaon with an ordinary bed sheet. All li
straps are equipped with three loops on each end. In most
cases, we recommend that the outer loop straps be hooked
to the sling bar. The inner loop straps are, if necessary,
used if liing height is restricted, or when reposioning the
paent to a slightly reclined (not fully recumbent) posion.
All steps of the operaon can be performed with li straps
hooked directly to the sling bar.
Bed Applicaon
Place the upper edge of the sheet even with the head of the
bed. The longer end of the RepoSheet accessory should be
at the foot of the bed. The paent’s pillow should be placed
under the paent’s head (i.e., on top of the RepoSheet
accessory).
One placement of RepoSheet Original accessory is good for
about 3-5 reposionings before it is me for re-bedding.
In some cases, especially when you want the paent to remain
as horizontal as possible during the li, it may be beer,
instead, to use SideBars and distribute the loop straps on
the SideBar hooks (though not during the turning operaon,
when load is only applied to loop straps on one side of the
RepoSheet accessory).
During use, be careful not to let the RepoSheet accessory’s
“free“ loop straps catch, for example, on the bed. During
reposioning, the caregivers should hold on to the sling bar
and/or support the paent from underneath. Avoid pulling
on the li straps, since this places unnecessary strain on the
RepoSheet accessory.

Turning the Paent in Bed
One person can turn the paent in the bed, but we recommend that two caregivers assist, since this is a mesaving and
ecient way of working.
When turning the paent, use of bed rails is recommended, especially if only one caregiver is performing the operaon.
1. Connect the required number of li
straps according to earlier descripon
above. Li the paent free of the bed.
2. Move the paent to one
side of the bed, and then
lower to the maress.
1. Disconnect the loop straps from the side
nearest the centre of the bed. If SideBars
have been used in the rst stage, disconnect
them and distribute the li straps on the
sling bar when it is hanging parallel with the
bed.
Liing the Paent Higher Up in Bed
Hook the loop straps to the sling bar hooks on the respecve
sides (see the small illustraons). The li straps are dierent
colours to enable correct matching of li straps pair-wise.
Use the li straps that li the head and all of the li straps
that li the body, as far down as the knees (normally 4-5
pairs of straps).
Liing with li straps below the knees may cause over-
extension of the knee-joints. When it also is necessary to li
under the calves, e.g., when liing from one bed to another,
parcular care must be taken not to cause over-extension of
the knee-joints.
Li up unl the paent’s body clears the maress and can be
moved up to the desired posion. During re-posioning, the
caregivers should hold on to the sling bar and/or support the
paent from underneath. Do not pull the li straps!
Lower the li, disconnect and smooth out the RepoSheet
liing accessory.
One placement of RepoSheet Original accessory is good for
about 3-5 reposionings before it is me for re-bedding.

2. Posion the paent to make turning easier: arms at sides,
one leg over the other.
Li carefully, so that the paent is turned to one side with
the help of the li, but without turning all the way over.
3. Help the paent to achieve a comfortable posture, e.g.,
placing pillows for support (behind the back, between the
knees, under the head). Lower the sling bar and disconnect
the loop straps. Smooth out the sheets.
Changing the RepoSheet™ accessory
The easiest way to change the RepoSheet accessory is to li the paent up in one sheet while at the same me applying a
new one. Aer lowering, the rst sheet can be removed when the paent is turned to one side, preferably with the help of
the new RepoSheet accessory and the li.
If RepoSheet Original accessory is used for moving the paent higher up in bed, it is praccal to have two or more sheets that
you can use to alternate.
When moving the paent from side to back, perform the steps in the reverse order: remove pillows, lower the li, connect
the loop straps, li up and re-posion the paent in the middle of the bed, etc.
