is a warning triangle used for situaons that demand extra care and aenon.
In this document, the person being lied is referred to as the paent and the person helping them is referred to as
the caregiver.
Product Descripon
Solo RepoSheet accessory has been specially developed
by Liko to facilitate transfers of a paent in bed. It is an
excellent aid for reposioning further up in bed and during
turning in beds using a li and with minimal body strain for
the caregivers.
Transfers can be carried out with the help of one person
but we recommend that there are two care givers which is
me-saving and a comfortable way to work.
Solo RepoSheet accessory can be used in combinaon
with, or instead of ordinary bed sheets.
Solo RepoSheet accessory is intended for short-term use
by one individual paent. It should be disposed when it
becomes soiled or when the paent no longer needs it.
Two models are available; Short, for liing up to 200 kg
(440 lbs.), and Generous, a sheet for liing up to 300 kg
(660 lbs.) For retained maximum load, li/accessories
intended for the same load or more are required.
Solo RepoSheet Short accessory have a separate
Instrucon Guide.
There are also RepoSheet accessory models for long-term use
in Liko’s product range.
If it is necessary to transfer a paent between two
horizontal surfaces sucient li straps are used to ensure that
the paent has enough support under the body to be lied
safely during the transfer. Also, make sure that strap loops do
not become stuck anywhere during the transfer.
Solo RepoSheet accessory works best in combinaon with
overhead lis. We recommend LikoGuard™ overhead li,
Likorall™ overhead li or Mulrall™ overhead li. LikoGuard XL
overhead li or an Ultra li system is required for maximum
load of 300 kg (660 lbs.). See nal page for recommended sling
bars.
Solo RepoSheet accessory is not intended for liing or
transfers from lying to sing posions. For such needs, we
recommend liing with one of our many sling models.
IMPORTANT!
Liing and transferring a paent always involves a certain level of risk. Read the instrucon guide for both the paent
li and liing accessories before use. It is important to completely understand the contents of the instrucon guide.
The equipment should only be used by trained personnel. Ensure that the liing accessories are suitable for the li used.
Exercise care and cauon during use. As a caregiver, you are always responsible for the paent’s safety. You must be aware
of the paent’s ability to make it through the liing situaon. If something is unclear, contact the manufacturer or supplier.

Before liing, remember the following!

User Descripon
Place the upper edge of the sheet even with the head secon of the
bed. The longer end of the RepoSheet accessory should be at the foot
secon of the bed. The paent’s pillow should be placed under the
paent’s head (i.e., on top of the RepoSheet accessory).
One placement of Solo RepoSheet Generous accessory is good for
about 3-5 reposionings before it is me for re-bedding.
Liing further up in the bed
Connect the strap loops: Connect the strap loops to each side of the sling bar. Use the li straps that li the head and all the li straps
that li the body down to the hollow of the knees (4-5 pairs of straps is usual). Liing with the li straps under the hollow of the knees
can cause over-extension of the knee-joint. When it is also necessary to li the calves, (for example when transferring between two beds)
parcular care must be taken so that over-extension of the knee-joints does not occur.
Liing: Li so that the paent is free of the maress and can be moved up to the desired posion in the bed. During reposioning, the
caregivers should hold on to the sling bar and/or support the paent from the underneath. Do not pull the li straps! Lower, disconnect
and smooth out the Solo RepoSheet accessory.
Alternave: In some cases, parcularly if you want to li the paent in as a straight posion as possible, it may be beer to use SideBars
and distribute the strap loops on the SideBar’s hooks instead, see the small illustraon (although not during the “turning” operaon
when only one side of the Solo RepoSheet accessory’s li straps are carrying weight).

Posioning of Solo RepoSheet Generous accessory
• A responsible person within your organizaon should decide on a case-by-
case basis whether one or more caregivers are needed.
• Plan the liing operaon before the li to make it as safe and convenient
as possible.
• Before liing, check that the liing accessory hangs vercally and can
move freely.
• Although Liko’s sling bars are equipped with latches, special cauon must
be exercised: Before the paent is lied from the underlying surface, but
aer the straps have been fully extended, make sure the strap loops are
properly connected to the sling bar.
• Never li a paent higher o the underlying surface than is needed to
complete the liing and transfer procedure.
• Never leave a paent unaended during a liing situaon.
• The wheels on the bed must be locked during liing/transfer operaon,
the recommendaon applies in parcular when turning paents.
• Put the bed rails up during turning, parcularly if only one caregiver carries
out the procedure.
• Make sure that the RepoSheet liing accessory’s unconnected strap loops
do not become stuck, for example, in the bed during use.
• During transfers, the caregivers should hold on to the sling bar and/or
support the paent from underneath. Avoid pulling the li straps as that
can damage the RepoSheet liing accessory.

Turning in bed
Turning a paent in bed can be done with the assistance of one person but we recommend that there are two caregivers which is me
saving and a comfortable way to work.
Use of bed rails is recommended, parcularly in situaons where only one caregiver is carrying out the procedure.
1. Before turning can take place the
paent must rst be moved to one
side of the bed. Connect the necessary
number of li straps according to the
descripon at the end of page 2. Li the
paent high enough to clear the bed
surface.
2. Move the paent to one side of
the bed, lower onto the maress.
1. Disconnect the loop straps from the side
nearest the centre of the bed.
If SideBars have been used in the rst stage,
disconnect them and distribute the li straps
on the sling bar when it is hanging parallel with
the bed.
2. Place the paent in such a way that turning is made
easy: arms over the side, one leg over the other.
Li carefully so that the paent is turned to the side
with the help of the li without pping forward.
3. Adjust the paent’s body posion to one which is comfortable
and place pillows to support (behind the back, between the knees,
under the head). Lower the sling bar and disconnect the strap
loops. Smooth out the sheet.
Changing Solo RepoSheet accessory
The easiest way to change Solo RepoSheet accessory is to li the paent in a Solo RepoSheet accessory while ng the bed with a
new one. Aer lowering, the rst sheet can be removed when the paent is turned to the side, preferable with the assistance of the
new RepoSheet accessory and the li.
If Solo RepoSheet accessory is used for liing further up in the bed it is praccal to have two or more sheets to change between.
When the paent is to be moved from the side posion onto a supine posion carry out the procedure in reverse order: remove pillows,
lower li, connect the strap loops, li and move the paent to the middle of the bed, etc.

Solo RepoSheet accessory in combinaon with Liko™ FlexoStretch or Liko™
UltraStretch™ accessory can be used for liing and transferring a paent in a
horizontal posion. The li straps on the RepoSheet accessory’s head secon is
connected to the hooks on the stretchers head secon. The remaining li straps
is distributed on the other hooks. Solo RepoSheet Generous accessory have more
li straps than the stretcher has hooks. To avoid that the last pair of li straps do
not get stuck, for example in the bed, the li straps should be connected to the
hooks on the stretchers foot secon, see illustraon. The stretchers li arms can be
adjusted to achieve opmal comfort.

If the sheet is washed this label disintegrates to display the DO NOT USE –symbol. The sheet must then be disposed of.

Inspect the Solo RepoSheet accessory before each use. Pay special aenon to wear and damage to seams, material/fabric, straps and strap loops.
During use, pay aenon to that the RepoSheet accessory does not get stuck in equipment, which can damage the sheet. Do not use damaged
liing accessories. If anything is unclear, please contact the manufacturer or supplier.
Care and Maintenance
Solo RepoSheet accessory is a disposable item that is intended for individual use only. Write the paent’s name on the product label which is
on the back side of the sheet.
Solo RepoSheet accessory should no longer be used:
• when it is soiled or if it is suspected of being contaminated
• if it is damaged
• when the paent no longer requires it.
Dispose of the Solo RepoSheet accessory accordance with hospitals or care facility regulaons. Solo RepoSheet accessory can be recycled by
incinerang.

Other Combinaons
Combinaons of accessories/products other than those recommended by Liko can result in risk for the safety of the paent.
