The PGSI825 status indicator is a wireless peripheral that displays arm
and alarm status received from the ProGuard control panel.

1. To support the PGSI825 status indicator, the control panel must have
the on-board transmitter installed – see Figure 2. Note: Power down the
control panel before plugging in the on-board transmitter.

2. Using a small screwdriver, remove
the front cover by pushing the pry-off
slot located at the bottom of the unit.
3. Apply power to either the DC jack
or the power input terminals.
4. For the PGSI825 to function
correctly, program the ProGuard
External Siren Type as 1-way siren as follows:
• From the Programming menu, select Devices, Siren, External Siren
Type [9152].
• Select 1-Way Siren.
5. Clear the transmitter register by pressing and holding down the
Registration button; the Power LED turns off. Continue holding down the
button until the Power LED is re-lit.
6. Press the Registration button once to set the PGSI825 to Registration
mode; the Power LED goes off.
7. In order to register the control panel’s transmitter to the PGSI825’s
receiver, perform the External Siren Test twice as follows:
• From the Service menu, select Ext. Siren Test [7 (LED
starts flashing) (LED is re-lit)].
8. Check that the PGSI825’s Power LED has stopped flashing to indicate
that the registration procedure is complete.
9. Close the PGSI825’s front cover.
10. Before permanently mounting the PGSI825, test the reception from
the exact mounting position.
11. Attach the mounting plate to the wall with the holding posts facing
outwards.
12. Attach the back cover to the mounting plate by placing the keyhole
slots over the holding posts and sliding the cover until the locking tab
clicks into place.
Deleting the Registered Transmitter
The PGSI825 status indicator is capable of
registering one transmitter. Power LED Indication

the registered transmitter in order to allow the
registration of a new transmitter.

1. Press and hold down the Registration
button; the Power LED turns off. Table 1: Power LED Indication
2. Continue to hold down the Registration button until the Power LED is
re-lit; the registered transmitter is deleted.
