Quick Start Guide
Safety Notes
• Only qualified personnel should use and maintain
the DiluCult™instrument.
• Always use DiluCult™instrument with a
grounding plug.
• Do not exceed the authorized weight on the
weighing platform:
- DiluCult™instrument: 3,000 g
- DiluCult™2 instrument: 5,000 g
• Read the DiluCult™and DiluCult™2 User Guide
before use.
Setting up the Instrument
1. Place the instrument on a flat, stable surface, away
from any source of excessive heat and close to an
properly grounded power supply outlet
2. For the DiluCult™instrument only, install the fixed
arm at the back of the instrument using the Allen
wrench and 2 screws provided with the arm. 1
3. Clip the bag holder into the two holes in the base of
the instrument. For DiluCult™2 only, also clip on the
magnetized nozzle protection. 2
4. Install the distribution assembly: 3
• Place the tube weight at the bottom of the bottle
and screw the GL45 cap on the top.
• Install the tubing into the pump. The direction of
flow is indicated by the arrows on the housing.
• Close the pump, keeping the tubing stretched and
making sure the tubing is not pinched.
• Place the tubing in the tubing holder.

Dilution
1. Plug the power cord into the electrical power source
(from 100V~ to 240V~).
2. Turn the main switch to the “|” position.
3. Press the power button on the digital display/control panel. A green
light glows under the instrument, indicating that it is ready to function.
The arm of the DiluCult™2 instrument is initialized.
4. Place a bag holder on the instrument.
5. Select dilution mode by pressing the button. Two beeps
sound, and the Dilution LED lights.
6. Select a pump by pressing the button.
7. Select one of the 3 modes by pressing the button:
8. Fast: Fast flow with lower accuracy
9. Standard: Standard flow with standard accuracy
10. Accurate: Slow flow with optimal accuracy
11. Select the dilution rate by pressing the buttons.
12. Place the bag in the bag holder.
13. Press the button. A beep sounds.
14. When the Place sample LED lights, place the sample in the bag.
The weight of the sample appears on the screen.
15. When the green light under the instrument indicates that the weighing
platform is stable, start the dilution by pressing the button. The
“In progress” LED lights. The robotic arm of the DiluCult™2 instrument
moves forward simultaneously.
16. To stop the dilution at any time, press the button. A beep sounds.
17. To resume the dilution, press the button.
18. When the dilution is finished:
• A beep sounds and the final weight is displayed
• The robotic arm of the DiluCult™2 instrument moves back.
• To run the process again with the same type of bag, place a bag
in the bag holder and press the button.
