INTRODUCTION
The programmable Preheater, PCT-1000, features digital controls, four time-
programmable heating zones and one cooling zone that utilize a built-in thermocouple
(TC) for accurate feedback control. The PCT-1000 can also be used to provide a single
continuous source of constant heat. The external TC i/p function can be used as a
feedback control mechanism for accurate profiling of your circuit boards. Additionally,
this unit may be connected to the HCT-1000 as part of the Modular Rework System
(MRS). The MRS comprises the PCT-1000 Programmable Preheater, HCT-1000
Programmable Hot Air Tool, BH-1000 Board holder, ATH-1000 Adjustable Tool Holder
and LM-1000 LED Light Magnifier.

3. Connecting The Unit & Quick-start Guide
1. Basic unit setup
1. Plug the power cord into a grounded wall socket of the rated input line
voltage.
2. Connect the footswitch to the unit.
3. Turn On the unit by pressing the Power button momentarily.
4. Select the desired profile.
5. To start the profile, depress the footswitch.
6. Turn Off the unit by pressing the Power button for 2 seconds. Note ~
you must be out of set-up mode in order to do this. I.e. no flashing
numbers on the display.
7. To Abort a Profile (to the Cool-Down zone) press and hold the
footswitch down while in Run Mode.
4. Operating Instructions
The PCT-1000 has four operational modes. The operational modes are Setup, Run,
Manual and Active Setup. The Setup mode is for modifying system or profile
parameters. The Run mode is for operating the unit with a profile that uses four
zones of heating. The Manual mode is for operating the unit with a single zone of
heat and no time limit. The Active Setup mode allows for the changing of
parameters within a running profile.
1. Setup Mode
1. Press the Mode button (↵)once to start “P:” flashing
2. Use the ⊕/ buttons to scroll through the profiles
3. Press (↵)to select the desired profile
4. Press and hold (↵) for 3 seconds to activate program mode (first
temperature in zone 1 will flash).
5. Run Mode setup; proceed to step 4.1.6.1; Manual Mode setup
proceed to step 4.1.7.1.
6. Run Mode
1. Use the ⊕/ buttons to change the temperature to the desired
value. (Note: continually pressing either the ⊕or buttons for 5
seconds will change the count up/down in an accelerated mode)
2. When the value is set, press (↵)to move to the next parameter.
3. Repeat steps 4.1.6.1 & 4.1.6.2 until profile is programmed. Note: In
the Cool-Down Zone you can only modify the Time parameter
4. Proceed to step 4.1.8.
7. Manual Mode setup
1. Use the ⊕/ buttons to change the temperature to the desired
value. (Note: continually pressing either the ⊕or buttons for 5
seconds will change the count up/down in an accelerated mode)
2. Set the Time for Zone 1 to a value greater than 300 seconds. The
display will now show the word MANUAL and Z2, Z3, Z4 will no
longer be shown on the display. Note: Manual mode profiles do not
have a time requirement and once activated will run until the profile
is stopped. However, during the cool zone, the profile can be
restarted at any time by pressing ⊕
8. Press (↵) to move to the next parameter. This is the Internal or External
TC option. Use ⊕or to switch between Int or Ext TC1 or press (↵) to
skip. Note: When Ext TC1 is selected, TC1 becomes the master
thermocouple and provides feedback to the power supply.
9. Press (↵)to move to the next parameter. This is the Security Lockout
function. PCT-1000 systems are supplied with a lockout feature to
prevent operators from editing profiles etc. To activate this function, a 4
digit number must be entered within a program setup as explained

below.If the pass code is set at 0000 the programs are not protected.
When C: 0000 appears on the screen, you can select a 4 digit pass
code.
1. When the first digit flashes, use the or ⊕buttons to select the
preferred number.
2. Press (↵) and repeat step 7 for all digits.
3. Press-and-hold (↵) to quit code entry.
4. From this point on you can only edit profiles after entering the
correct code
Security Lockout Notes:
•You can ‘turn off’ the pass-code protection by first going into
Program mode, entering the current code then setting the new code
to ‘0000’ –All users now have full access to all program functions.
•One code protects all profiles, not individual profiles.
•If the Pass-code is lost or forgotten then the Master Reset function
will restore the factory defaults including erasing the pass-code
10. Press (↵)to move to the next parameter. Turbo mode (TM) is for
regions with <120VAC. Use ⊕or to switch between YES or NO or
press (↵)to skip
11. Once required changes have been made, press and hold (↵) for 3
seconds until the LCD tops flashing, to set the profile to memory and
exit setup mode.
Master Reset.
To reset the unit it to factory settings, the following procedure can be used.
•Press and hold ⊕and (↵)
•Whilst keeping ⊕and (↵) depressed, switch the unit on
using 
PLEASE NOTE: Use of the master reset will erase all stored programs.
2. Active Setup Mode
1. Select Profile to be modified as per steps 4.1.1 to 4.1.4
2. Once the temperature in Z1 has started to flash, Activate Setup Mode
by depressing the footswitch
3. Profile will start to run and ‘SETUP’ will be displayed on LCD.
4. To modify the current zone set-temperature use the ⊕/ buttons.
5. To increase the time of the current zone press and hold the (↵)button
as the zone ends. Instead of stepping onto the next zone the current
zone time-setting will increment the original setting for as long as you
keep the (↵)button depressed. Releasing the button will allow the
profile to progress onto the next Zone.*
6. Note: Steps 4 & 5 can be carried out simultaneously.
7. To decrease the zone time, press the footswitch at the desired time.
This will set the time to memory and advance the profile into the next
zone.*
8. Once required changes have been made to zone 1-4, allow the profile
to finish the end of the cool down zone. Press and hold (↵), until the
LCD tops flashing, to set the profile to memory and exit setup mode.
*Note: feature not available in Cool-Down Zone

5. Additional Features
1. Temperature Monitoring
1. While using the PCT-1000 with the internal thermocouple (INT see
Figure. 2 above), the two external thermocouples may be used to
monitor temperature.
2. Attach a thermocouple to TC1 and/or TC2 and attach to the area to be
monitored. When attached, the appropriate thermocouple will be
displayed (see Figure 3 above).
6. Troubleshooting
1. Unit does not power ON
1. Check the power cord
2. Check to see that you have mains voltage
2. OH displayed on the LED screen
1. Unit has exceeded the internal safety cut-off
2. Allow unit to cool
3. Check placement of thermocouple (if used)
4. Reset the unit by cycling the power
5. Review program, consult Advanced Users Guide.
3. TCFAULT displayed on LED screen
1. Check location of thermocouple
2. Ensure the thermocouple is firmly inserted into the correct TC
connector
3. Replace thermocouple if problem persists
4. Flashing zone and temperature parameters while in Run Mode.
1. Indicates the unit cannot meet the programmed time and
temperature as set.
2. Review program, consult Advanced User Guide.

7. Warranty

also contact your local OK International representative for pricing and availability.
OK International warrants the PCT-1000 programmable Preheater against any defects in
materials or workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase by the original
owner. This Warranty excludes normal maintenance and shall not apply to any opened,
misused, abused, altered or damaged items. If the product should become defective
within the warranty period, OK International will repair or replace it free of charge at its
sole option. The replacement item(s) will be shipped, freight prepaid, to the original
purchaser. The warranty period will start from the date of purchase. If the date of
purchase cannot be substantiated the date of manufacture will be used as the start of
the warranty period.

8. Safety
With power applied, the tip temperature can be > 300°C. Failure to observe the following
precautions may lead to injury to users or damage the equipment:
• Do not touch any metallic parts
• Do not use near flammable items
• Do not use unit for any function other than described in this manual
• Use in a well ventilated area
• Do not use the equipment with wet hands
• Connect only to properly grounded outlets to prevent risk of electric shock.
Although the systems offer superior EOS (Electrical Overstress) protection, periodic
checks of the instrument cord should be incorporated into standard operator
maintenance procedures.

When this product is no longer required, if it cannot be re-used,
we ask our customers not to dispose of it as unsorted municipal
waste but to appropriately recycle the product. In Europe, please

3. 连接设备及快速启动指南
1. 基本操作
1. 将电源线插入具有额定输入线电压的接地壁装插座中。
2. 将脚踏开关与设备连接。
3. 短暂按下电源按钮 打开设备。
4. 按 (↵) 选择所需的配置。
5. 啟動配置文件，降低腳踏。
6. 按下电源按钮 两秒钟可关闭设备。注意 ~ 进行此操作必须退出设置
模式，
即显示屏上不显示闪烁的数字。
7. 要中止配置过程（进入冷却区），请在运行模式下持续按住脚踏开关。
4. 操作说明
PCT-1000 有四种操作模式。 这些操作模式分别是：设置、运行、手动和活动设置。
“设置”模式用于修改系统或配置参数。“运行”模式用于通过配置（该配置使
用四个加热区域）运行设备。 “手动”模式用于通过一个加热区且不受时间限制

1. 设置模式

7. “手动”模式设置

2. 将区域 1 的时间设为大于 300 秒的值。 显示屏即会显示 MANUAL
（手动），并且不再显示 Z2、Z3、Z4。注意： 手动模式配置没有
时间要求，一旦激活，将会一直运行到该配置被停止。但是，在冷
却区时，可随时按下 ⊕ 重启此模式配置。
8. 按 (↵) 移动到下一个参数。 这是内部或外部 TC 选项。使用 ⊕ 或
在 Int（内部）或 TC1 间切换，或按 (↵) 跳过。
注意： 如果选择 TC1，则 TC1 将变为主热电偶，并提供电源反馈。
9. 按(↵) 移动到下一个参数。即安全闭锁功能。PCT-1000 系统配有闭锁
功能，可防止操作人员编辑配置文件等。如要激活该功能，须按如下说
明在编程设置中输入一个 4 位编码。如果验证码设置为 0000，那么编程
处于未受保护状态。当屏幕显示 C: 0000 时，您便可以选择一个 4 位验
证码。

•如果丢失或忘记验证码，可使用“复位”功能恢复所有出厂默认设置，
并删除验证码
10. 按(↵) 移动到下一个参数。涡轮增压器模式 (TM) 可用于 “<120VAC” 区
域。使用 ⊕或在是或否之间进行切换，或者按下 (↵)跳过
11. 进行所需的更改后，长按 (↵) 3 秒，直到 LCD 停止闪烁，这样此配置
就会存入内存并退出设置模式。
复位
如要将此装置复位至出厂设置，可使用如下设置。
•长按 ⊕和(↵)
•在按住 ⊕和(↵) 的同时，使用 开启装置

2. 活动设置模式
1. 按照步骤 4.1.1 至 4.1.4 选择要修改的配置。
2. 要激活主动安装模式按下脚踏一旦温度 Z1 已经开始闪光。

5. 其它功能
1. 温度监测
1. 如果所用的 PCT-1000 带有内部热电偶（INT，请参见上图 2），可使用
两个外部热电偶监测温度。
2. 将一个热电偶与 TC1 和/或TC2 相连，并连接到要监测的区域。连接后
将显示相应的热电偶（请参见上图 3）。
6. 故障排除

8. 安全信息
通电后，热风温度可达到 300°C 以上。请牢记以下注意事项，以免灼伤或损坏设备：
• 不要触摸任何金属零件
• 切勿在易燃物附近使用
• 切勿将本设备用于本手册中没有介绍的任何功能
• 在通风良好的区域中使用
• 切勿在手潮湿的情况下使用本设备
• 只能连接已良好接地的电源插座，以避免触电的危险
尽管系统提供了出色的 EOS（电性过压）保护，仍应将设备电线的定期检查纳入标准的
操作员维护程序中。

3. 連接設備及快速啟動指南
1. 基本操作

4. 操作指示
PCT-1000 共有四種操作模式。 這些操作模式分別為設定、執行、手動、及主動設定。
設定模式用於修改系統或設定檔參數。 執行模式用於搭配設定檔進行裝置操作，設定

1. 設定模式
1. 按下模式按鈕 (↵) 一次，即可啟動 “P：” 開始閃爍
2. 使用 ⊕/ 按鈕可在整個設定檔中捲動
3. 按下 (↵)，選取所要的設定檔
4. 按下 (↵) 3 秒鐘不放，以啟動程式模式 (第一區的第一個溫度會開始閃爍)。
5. 若要執行模式設定；請繼續步驟4.1.6.1；若要執行手動模式設定，
請繼續步驟 4.1.7.1.。
6. 執行模式
1. 使用 ⊕/ 按鈕將溫度修改至所要的數值。 (注意：持續按住 ⊕或
按鈕 5 秒鐘後，向上/向下計數會變為加速模式。
2. 數值設定完畢後，按下 (↵)可移至下一個參數。
3. 重覆步驟 4.1.6.1 和4.1.6.2，直到設定檔完成設定為止。 注意：冷
卻區內只能修改時間參數。

7. 手動模式設定
1. 使用⊕/按鈕，將溫度修改至所要的數值。 (注意：持續按住 ⊕
或按鈕 5 秒鐘後，向上/向下計數會變為加速模式
2. 將第一區的時間數值設定為大於 300 秒。 此時螢幕會顯示 MANUAL (
手動) 字樣， Z2、Z3、Z4 則不再出現於顯示螢幕上。注意： 手動模式
設定檔無時間要求，一旦啟動後將執行至設定檔停止為止。但是，
在冷卻區中時，按下 ⊕可隨時重新啟動設定檔。
8. 按下 (↵)移至下一個參數。 此即內部或外部 TC 選項。 使用 ⊕或在
Int (內部)或TC1 之間切換，或按 (↵) 跳過。注意： 選取 TC1 後，TC1
會變為主熱電偶，並提供迴授至電源。
9. 按下 (↵)移至下一個參數。這是「安全性鎖定」功能。PCT-1000 系統
供應時即附有鎖定功能，可防止操作員編輯設定檔等資訊。若要啟用此
功能，必須依下述在程式設定中輸入 4 位數號碼。若在程式中將密碼設
為0000，程式不會受到保護。畫面上顯示 C: 0000 時，您可以選擇 4 位

安全性鎖定須知：
•您可以「關閉」密碼防護，方法是先進入「程式」模式、輸入目前的
密碼，然後將新密碼設為「0000」。現在所有使用者均可完整存取所
有程式功能。
•同一組密碼會保護所有設定檔，而無法針對單一設定檔提供密碼
保護。
•若密碼遺失或遺忘，「全部重設」功能可以恢復出廠預設值，包括清
除密碼
10. 按下 (↵)移至下一個參數。渦輪加速模式 (TM) 適用於 <120VAC 的地區。
使用 ⊕或切換 YES (是) 或NO (否)，或按下 (↵)略過
11. 完成所需的修改後，按住 (↵) 3 秒鐘不放直到 LCD 停止閃爍為止，將設

2. 教導模式設定

5. 額外功能
1. 溫度監控
1. 使用具備內部電熱偶 (INT，請參閱上列圖 2) 的PCT-1000 時，可使用兩個
外部電熱偶來監控溫度。
2. 將電熱偶裝到 TC1 及/或TC2，然後再裝到待監控的區域。裝好後，螢幕上將會
顯示相應的電熱偶 (請參閱上列圖 3)。

8. Safety

はじめに
PCT-1000 は、プログラム機能を持ったデジタルプレヒーターです。Ｋ熱電対（ＴＣ）
を使用し、デジタル制御により４加熱ゾーン、１冷却ゾーンの温度プロファイルを設定
