TestModeInitiationviaTestLamp
NOTE:TheTestLampsequenceisdepictedinFigure7.
WhentheunitisinOperationalMode,theFL4000HrecognizestheTestLampasatriggertoactivatetheTestMode.
Within5-8secondsoftheTestLampflashing,theFL4000Hwilldetectthesimulatedflamesource,droptheanalogoutput
to1.5mA(3.5mAwithHARTandsmallHARTcurrentdisabled),andchangetheLEDflashingtoindicate“TestMode
Activated”showninsequence#7ofTable2.Therelaysettingwillremainat“Ready”duringthisoperation.
FurthercontinuousflashingoftheTestLampinTestModeenablesthefollowingsequenceofevents:
• After2secondsinTestMode(Phase2),theFL4000HindicatesaWarningcondition,bysettingtheanalogoutputto
16mA,changingtheLEDflashingtoindicate“TestModeRunning”showninsequence#8(Table2),andsettingthe
relaytoWarningState.
• Afterauser-selectabletimedelayof0-30seconds(Phase3),theFL4000HdisplaysanAlarmconditionbysetting
theanalogoutputto20mA,andsettingtherelaytoAlarmState.TheLEDsequencechangestosequence#9(Table
2)“Warning”mode.
NOTE:TimedelaycanbesetthroughModbustoanyvaluebetween0and30seconds,andviadipswitchto0,8,10,
or14seconds.
• After4.25minutesinAlarmmode(Phase4),theunitwillreturntoReadyModebydroppingtheanalogoutputto4.3
mA,restoringtheLEDflashingto“Ready”showninsequence#2(Table2),andsettingtherelaytoReadyState.
TheFL4000Hhasnowreturnedtoflamedetectionstatus.
