Overview
Nortel IP Phone 1110 brings voice and data to the desktop by connecting
directly to a Local Area Network (LAN) through an Ethernet connection.
When you are logged on the system, the handset and keypad of the IP
Phone 1110 operate in the same way as a standard Meridian Business
Set (MBS) telephone. You can access additional services and features
through the softkeys. The label beside a softkey identifies the current
function associated with that key.
IP Phone terminal description
Nortel IP Phone 1110 offers these features:
•four light-emitting diode (LED) indicator lamps
—message waiting lamp
—data lamp
—link/data lamp
•multifield LCD screen
—adjustable contrast
—backlight
•four softkeys to access and utilize Centrex features that are available
through the Call Services menu
•five navigational keys
—up
—down
—left
—right
—send
•speaker for on-hook dialing or on-hook listening

Figure 1 "IP Phone 1110 components" (page 10) shows the location of the
keys and the components of the IP Phone.
The IP Phone does not have a microphone for handsfree talking. A mute
function is available through the Call Services menu.
Not all features are available on all telephones. Consult your system
administrator to verify which features are available to you.
