When using your blender, you should always follow basic safety precautions, including
the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR OSTER®BLENDER WITH
REVERSIBLE MOTOR TECHNOLOGY.
• Toprotectagainstelectricalhazards,DO NOT immerse the cord, plug or motor base in
water or other liquids.
• Alwaysusetheproductonaclean,flat,hard,drysurface.Thereshouldbenomaterial
such as a tablecloth or plastic between the unit and surface.
• Avoidcontactwithmovingparts.
• Keephandsandutensilsoutofjarwhileblendingtoreducetheriskofseverepersonal
 injuryordamagestotheblender.
• Ifscrapingisnecessary,turnthepoweroffandusearubberspatula.
• DO NOTusetheappliancewithadamagedcordorplug,aftertheunitfailstowork 
correctly, after you drop or damage the product in any way. Return the product to your
 nearestAuthorizedOster®ServiceCenterforasafetycheck,adjustmentorrepair.
• Thebladeissharp.Handleitcarefully.
• ToreducetheriskofinjuryDO NOTleavethebladesittingoutorexposed,always 
 completelyassemblethebladetothejarbeforeputtingonthebaseandalwaysputthe
 lidonthejarbeforeoperatingtheblender.
• Whenblendinghotliquids,bewareofsteam.Removethejarlidfeedercapfromthelid
to allow steam to escape.
• DO NOT use outdoors.
• DO NOTallowthecordtotouchhotsurfacesorhangovertheedgeofatableor
counter.
• Unplugtheblenderwhenitisnotinuse,beforetakingofforputtingonparts,and 
before cleaning.
• NEVERleavetheapplianceunattendedwhileitisrunning.
• Youriskpersonalinjury,fireorelectricshockifyouuseattachments,jarsorpartsother
than those recommended by the manufacturer.
• Supervisechildrencloselywhentheyuseorarenearbyappliances.
• DO NOT blend boiling liquids in the blender.
• Theuseofattachmentsandprocessingassemblypartsnotrecommendedorsoldby 
 themanufacturermaycauseriskorinjurytopersons.

plug into the outlet, contact a qualified electrician to replace the obsolete outlet. Do not

• Trytopositiontheblendernearthepowersourcetoreducethehazardsassociated 

 blendingwithmanualtogglecontrolthatallowsyoutoturnbladeCLOCKWISE&
 COUNTERCLOCKWISE.
• A jar lid feeder capthatletsyouaddingredientswithoutremovingthejarlid.
Beforeyouusetheproductforthefirsttime,separatethelid,jarlidfeedercap,andblade
fromthejar.Washinwarm,soapywater,ortoprackinthedishwasher.Rinseanddry
well.

USING THE MANUAL CONTROL
TheManualControllet’syoufullycontrolandtakeadvantageofthebenefitsthe
reversiblemotortechnologyofyourblenderanditincludes:
•CONTINUOUSBLENDING(ToggleUp)–Motorwillturnbladecounterclockwise
 (seefigure6)atacontinuousspeed.
•REVERSEBLENDING/PULSE(ToggleDown)–Motorwillturnbladeclockwise
 (seefigure7)atacontinuousspeedwhiletoggleishelddown
TouseREVERSE/PULSE,pushtoggledownorupforthedesiredlengthoftime. 
ReleasePULSEandallowbladetostop.Repeatcycleasdesired.
IMPORTANT:Donotoperateblendercontinuouslyformorethan3minutes.
BLENDING TIPS
• Putliquidsinthejarfirst,unlessarecipesaysotherwise.
• CrushingIce:Crush6icecubesorapproximately2cupsoficeatatime.
• Donotremovethelidwhileinuse.Removefeedercaptoaddsmalleringredients 
 (Figure8).
• HotFoods:Openthefeedercaptoventsteam.Tiltfeedercapawayfromyou.Keep 
 handsawayfromthecoveropeningtopreventpossibleburns.Whenworkingwith
 hotliquids,removefeedercapandstartblendingatalowspeedthenmovetoafaster
 speed.Donotaddliquidoverthe4cup(1Liter)level.
• Cutallfirmfruitsandvegetables,cookedmeats,fishandseafoodintopiecesnolarger
 than3/4inch(1.8cm)to1inch(2.5cm).Cutallkindsofcheesesintopiecesnolarger
 than3/4inch(1.8cm).
• REVERSE/PULSEfunctionshouldbeusedtohelpdislogeandmixfoods.Nocutting 
or chopping occurs while using this function.

AFTER USE:
1.Liftthejarstraightupfromthebase,removethelidandemptythejar.
2.Ifnecessary,usearubberspatulatoscrapefoodsawayfromthesidesofthejar.
IMPORTANT: UNPLUG BEFORE CLEANING.
CLEANING
Releasethebladefromthebottomofthejarbyturningthejarbottomcover
counterclockwise.
Thejarlid,jarlidfeedercapandbladearedishwashersafe.Washthemonthetoprack
ofthedishwasher.Placesealingringintobottombasketofdishwasher.Youcanalso
wash the parts in warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry. Wipe the base with a soft, damp
clothtoclean.Neversubmergethemotorbaseinanyliquid.Checkthepartsasyouput
thembacktogether.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT IMMERSE THE BLENDER BASE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUIDS.
EASY CLEAN
Pour3cupsofwarmwaterintheblenderjar.Add1–2dropsofliquiddishwashing
detergent.Blenddetergentfor10–15seconds.Emptyjarofsoapywaterintosink.Rinse
jarthoroughlywithcleanwater.
NOTE:EasyCleanisnotasubstituteforregularcleaningdescribedabove.Itisespe-
ciallyimportanttodisassembleandthoroughlycleanyourblenderwhenprocessingmilk,
dairy products, meats, seafood and eggs.
STORING
Reassembletheblenderforstorage.Leavethelidopenagapsonoodorsareretained.
WARNING: Neverputthejar,oranyotherparts,inamicrowaveoven.Neverstorefoods
ordrinksinthejar.
