1 Allgemeine Hinweise
1.1 Informationen zur Einbau- und Betriebsanlei-
tung
Diese Einbau- und Betriebsanleitung dient dem ge-
schulten Fachpersonal dazu, die Solarstation fach-
gerecht zu installieren und in Betrieb zu nehmen.
Mitgeltende Unterlagen – Anleitungen aller Anlagen-
komponenten, insbesondere die Bedienungsanleitung
der Solarpumpe, sowie geltende technische Regeln
– sind einzuhalten.
1.2 Aufbewahrung der Unterlagen
Diese Einbau- und Betriebsanleitung ist vom Anla-
genbetreiber zum späteren Gebrauch aufzubewah-
ren.
1.3 Urheberschutz
Die Einbau- und Betriebsanleitung ist urheberrechtlich
geschützt.
1.4 Symbolerklärung
Hinweise zur Sicherheit sind durch Symbole gekenn-
zeichnet. Diese Hinweise sind zu befolgen, um Unfälle,
Sachschäden und Störungen zu vermeiden.

2.3 Montage, Inbetriebnahme, Wartung
Montage, Erstinbetriebnahme, Wartung und Repara-
turen müssen von autorisierten Fachkräften (Hei-
zungsfachbetrieb / Vertragsinstallationsunternehmen)
durchgeführt werden.
(EN 5011 Teil 1 und VDE 1000 Teil 10 für Arbeiten an
elektrischen Einrichtungen).
3 Transport, Lagerung und
Verpackung
3.1 Transportinspektion
Lieferung unmittelbar nach Erhalt sowie vor Einbau
auf mögliche Transportschäden und Vollständigkeit
untersuchen.
Falls derartige oder andere Mängel feststellbar sind,
Warensendung nur unter Vorbehalt annehmen. Rekla-
mation einleiten. Dabei Reklamationsfristen beachten.
3.2 Lagerung
Die Solarstation nur unter folgenden Bedingungen la-
gern:
– Nicht im Freien. Trocken und staubfrei aufbewah-
ren.
– Keinen aggressiven Medien oder Hitzequellen aus-
setzen.
– Vor Sonneneinstrahlung und übermäßiger mecha-
nischer Erschütterung schützen.
– Lagertemperatur: –20°C bis +60°C,
relative Luftfeuchtigkeit: max. 95 %
3.3 Verpackung
Sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial ist umweltgerecht zu
entsorgen.
2 Sicherheitshinweise
2.1 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die Betriebssicherheit ist nur bei bestimmungs-
gemäßer Verwendung der Solarstation gewährleistet.
Die Solarstation dient zur Verbindung des Speichers
mit dem Kollektor.
Jede darüber hinausgehende und/oder andersartige
Verwendung der Solarstation ist untersagt und gilt als
nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Ansprüche jeglicher Art ge-
gen den Hersteller und/oder seine Bevollmächtigten
wegen Schäden aus nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Ver-
wendung können nicht anerkannt werden.
Zur bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung zählt auch die
korrekte Einhaltung der Einbau- und Betriebsanlei-
tung.
2.2 Gefahren, die vom Einsatzort und Transport
ausgehen können
Der Fall eines externen Brandes wurde bei der Ausle-
gung der Solarstation nicht berücksichtigt.
Schwere Solarstation!
Verletzungsgefahr! Geeignete Transport- und
Hebemittel verwenden. Geeignete Schutzausstat-
tung (z. B. Sicherheitsschuhe) während der Mon-
tage tragen und Schutzvorrichtungen benutzen.
Armaturaufbauten wie Handräder oder Griffe dür-
fen nicht zur Aufnahme von äußeren Kräften, wie
z. B. als Anbindungspunkte für Hebezeuge usw.
zweckentfremdet werden.
Heiße oder kalte Oberflächen!
Verletzungsgefahr! Nur mit geeigneten Schutz-
handschuhen anfassen. Bei Betrieb kann die So-
larstation die Medientemperatur annehmen.
Scharfe Kanten!
Verletzungsgefahr! Nur mit geeigneten Schutz-
handschuhen anfassen. Gewinde, Bohrungen
und Ecken sind scharfkantig.
Kleinteile!
Verschluckungsgefahr! Die Komponenten der

und jeglichen Kontakt vermeiden, falls Allergien
gegenüber den verwendeten Materialien bekannt
sind.

Bei Rückerwärmung des Kollektorkreises durch
den Speicher, kann der zulässige Betriebsüber-
druck im Leitungsnetz zwischen Speicher und So-
larstation überschritten werden!
– Nach dem Befüll- und Spülvorgang müssen alle
Kugelhähne in der Solarstation (Rücklaufkugel-
hahn und das Abgleichventil) und im Kollektor-
kreis (z.B. Befüll- und Spüleinrichtung) wieder
geöffnet werden!
– Während des Betriebes müssen alle Kugelhähne
geöffnet bleiben!
– Bei Wartungs- oder Reparaturarbeiten muss der
Speicherwassererwärmer (Heizkessel) abge-
schaltet werden.
– Die Verbindung Speicher - Solarstation ist mit ei-
nem zusätzlichen Sicherheitsventil und/ oder
Membranausdehnungsgefäß abzusichern!

5 Aufbau und Funktion
5.1. Übersicht und Funktionsbeschreibung
Die Solarstation dient im Rücklauf des Solarkreises
zur Verbindung des Speichers mit dem Kollektor.
Die Solarstation besteht aus einem Vorlauf- und einem
Rücklaufstrang.
Die Vorlaufleitung besteht aus einem Absperrkugel-
hahn und einer Flanschrohrgruppe mit integrierter
Schwerkraftbremse.
Die Rücklaufleitung verfügt über einen Absperrkugel-
hahn, eine Umwälzpumpe und einen Durchflussmes-
ser.
Die Sicherheitsgruppe wird oberhalb des Rücklaufku-
gelhahns montiert. Sie ist mit einem Sicherheitsventil,
einem Manometer und dem Anschluss für ein Aus-
dehnungsgefäß ausgestattet.
Die im Rücklauf verwendete Umwälzpumpe ist im Be-
sonderen für den Einsatz in Solarkreisläufen geeignet.
Am Durchflussmesser kann die Feineinstellung des
Volumenstromes erfolgen. Dabei ist der erforderliche
Volumenstrom im Allgemeinen von der Kollektorenan-
zahl bzw. von der Anlagenausstattung abhängig.
Der Durchflussmesser kann vollständig abgesperrt
werden. Nach Absperrung von Durchflussmesser und
Pumpenkugelhahn kann die Solarpumpe ausgetauscht
werden.
Die Kugelhähne sind mit Thermometern ausgestattet.

6 Einbau
Bevor die Solarstation in die Rohrleitung eingesetzt
wird, ist diese gründlich zu spülen.
Warnhinweise unter Abschnitt 2 (Sicherheits-
hinweise) beachten!
!
Die Solarstation muss senkrecht montiert werden
(Pumpenförderrichtung nach „oben“ zum Kollektor)!
n dieser Einbaulage sind die Anzeigen von Ther-
mometer, Manometer und Durchflussmesser ables-
bar.
Die Funktionen von Durchflussmesser und Sicher-
heitsventil sind nur bei senkrechter Montage gege-
ben!
ACHTUNG
Es sind geeignete Maßnahmen zur Temperatursiche-
rung zu ergreifen, die im Stagnationsfall verhindern,
dass Dampf die Solarstation erreichen und Bauteile
schädigen kann (z.B. Dachheizzentralen mit kurzen
Leitungswegen).
Gegebenenfalls ist der zusätzliche Einbau eines elek-
tromotorischen Vorschaltgefäßes zu berücksichtigen.
Weitere wichtige Hinweise zur Temperatursicherung

gelesen werden.
– Bei der Montage dürfen keine Fette oder Öle
verwendet werden, da diese die Dichtungen
zerstören können. Schmutzpartikel sowie Fett-
und Ölreste sind ggf. aus den Zuleitungen
herauszuspülen.
– Bei der Auswahl des Betriebsmediums ist der
allgemeine Stand der Technik zu beachten
(z. B. VD 2035).
– Gegen äußere Gewalt (z. B. Schlag, Stoß,
Vibration) schützen.
VORSICHT
!
Nach der Montage sind alle Montagestellen auf Dicht-
heit zu überprüfen.
Vor Arbeiten an der Anlage sicherstellen, dass die
Rohrleitungen und die Armaturen abgekühlt und
entleert sind.
Elektrische Komponenten (Regler, Pumpen, etc.)
vor Beginn der Arbeiten vom Strom trennen!
ACHTUNG
Die Solarstation immer tiefer als die Kollektoren mon-
tieren, damit bei Stagnation kein Dampf in das Aus-
dehnungsgefäß gelangen kann.
Wird das Ausdehnungsgefäß gleich hoch oder höher
als die Solarstation montiert, ist eine Wärmedämm-
schleife notwendig.
Nach jeder Entleerung die Anlage mit Frischwasser
spülen.
Die Solarstation ist nicht für den direkten Kontakt mit
Schwimmbadwasser geeignet.
Betriebsstellung: Schwerkraftbremse geschlossen,
Durchfluss nur in Förderrichtung möglich.
Bei nbetriebnahme bzw. Wartungsarbeiten (Füllen
und Spülen) muss die Schwerkraftbremse geöffnet
sein.
Sperrfunktion nicht aktiv: Schwerkraftbremse geöffnet,
Durchfluss in beide Richtungen möglich.
m Betrieb muss die Schwerkraftbremse wieder in die
Betriebsstellung gebracht werden.
6.1 Schwerkraftbremse
Die Armaturengruppe wird vormontiert geliefert. Bei
Betrieb der Solaranlage muss der Schlitz der Aufstel-
lung der Schwerkraftbremse in waagerechter Stellung
sein.

Durch den Dichtenunterschied zwischen kaltem
und warmem Wärmeträger entsteht eine Um-
triebskraft im Solarkreislauf!
n Ausnahmefällen können die Schwerkraftbrem-
sen durch starke Eigenzirkulation geöffnet werden.
Eine siphonartige Rohrschleife (siehe Abb. 6.2) in
Speichernähe minimiert die Schwerkraftzirkulati-
on!
Alternativ empfiehlt sich der Einbau einer zusätzli-
chen elektrischen Absperrung die parallel zur
Pumpe angesteuert wird und erst im Betrieb öff-
net.

6.2 Sicherheitsventil
Bei der Montage der Abblasleitung sind folgende
Punkte zu beachten:
− Die Abblasleitung muss mit Gefälle verlegt werden.
− Der Leitungsquerschnitt der Abblasleitung muss
gleich dem Austrittsquerschnitt des Membran-Si-
cherheitsventils sein.
− Die Abblasleitung soll höchstens zwei Bögen auf-
weisen und eine Länge von 2m nicht überschrei-
ten.
− Die Abblasleitung muss so ausgeführt werden, dass
keine Drucksteigerung beim Ansprechen des Si-
cherheitsventils möglich ist.
− Die Abblasleitung darf nicht ins Freie geführt wer-
den, die Mündung muss frei und beobachtbar sein.
− Eventuell austretende Wärmeträgerflüssigkeit muss
gefahrlos abgeführt werden.
− Mündet die Abblasleitung in einem Ablauftrichter,
muss der Ablauf des Trichters den doppelten
Durchmesser des Ventileintritts aufweisen.
6.3 Durchflusseinstellung
Das Einstellen eines Durchflusses erfolgt entweder
mittels eines Schlitzschraubendrehers oder wie in der
Abbildung dargestellt mittels eines 4 mm nnensechs-
kantschlüssels. Der sich einstellende Durchfluss wird
direkt im Schauglas angezeigt und kann somit abge-
lesen werden. Die Skala verfügt über zwei Bereiche,
einen für Wasser (0 %) sowie einen für ein 25-pro-
zentiges Wasser-Glykolgemisch (25 %). Ablese-
kante für den Durchfluss ist die Schwimmerunter-
seite. n der Abbildung wird somit ein Durchfluss
von 20 l/h Wasser bzw. ca. 16 l/h 25-prozentiges Was-
ser-Glykolgemisch illustriert.

6.4 Temperaturfühler
An beiden Absperrkugelhähnen ist eine Temperatur-
fühleraufnahme durch Klemmen zwischen Kugelhahn
und Wandhalterung möglich.

6.5 Einsatz von Hocheffizienzpumpen
Europas führende Hersteller von Heizungs-
pumpen haben sich zu einer einheitlichen
Kennzeichnung des Energieverbrauchs ver-
pflichtet. Das Energielabel ist vergleichbar mit de-
nen bei Kühlschränken und anderen Haushaltge-
räten. Die sogenannte Hocheffizienzpumpen
(ECM - Technik, Synchronmotor mit Dauermagne-
trotor) gehören der Referenzklasse A an. Der Wir-
kungsgrad ist doppelt so hoch wie bei konventio-
nellen Pumpen (Asynchronmotoren). Die Pumpen-
drehzahl (Förderstrom) passt sich automatisch
dem Bedarf an. Durch diese beiden Faktoren kann
der Stromverbrauch um 80% sinken.

Änderungen an der Wärmedämmung sind nicht
zulässig! Der Pumpenkopf muss direkten Zugang
zur Umgebungsluft haben!

Wichtige Informationen zum Wechsel / Anschluss
von Reglern und drehzahlgeregelten Hocheffizienz-
pumpen
Zusätzlich zum Spannungsversorgungskabel (230V)
benötigen drehzahlgeregelte Hocheffizienzpumpen
ein separates Kabel zur Übertragung des Steuersig-
nales. Gebräuchliche Steuersignale sind 0-10 Volt und
Pulsweitenmodulation (PWM) in proportionaler und
invertierter Form.
Die erforderliche Signalart ist der beiliegenden Be-
dienungsanleitung der jeweiligen Pumpe zu entneh-
men! Sind die Steuersignale von Regelung und Pumpe
nicht aufeinander abgestimmt, ist ein Betrieb nicht
möglich.
Zur Vermeidung von Störungen und schweren Schä-
den an Anlagen mit drehzahlgeregelten Hocheffizienz-
pumpen ist Folgendes zu beachten:
– Austausch der Pumpe nur gegen eine Pumpe mit
identischem Steuersignal!
− Austausch eines Reglers nur gegen einen Regler
mit identischem Steuersignal!
− Durch Kombination von Pumpe und Regler mit un-
terschiedlichen Steuersignalen ist die Betriebssi-
cherheit nicht gewährleistet, Anlagenschäden und
Gesundheitsschäden sind nicht auszuschließen!
− m Rahmen der ersten nbetriebnahme als auch
nach Austausch der Pumpe oder des Reglers ist
folgender Funktionstest durchzuführen:
1. Pumpe im Handmenü (Relaistest) „E N“ schalten
– die Pumpe muss nun laufen.
2. Anschließend die Pumpe im Handmenü „AUS“
schalten, die Pumpe darf nun nicht mehr laufen.
– Elektroarbeiten dürfen nur von qualifiziertem Elek-
tro-Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden.
– Vor Arbeiten an elektrischen Komponenten sind
diese spannungsfrei zu schalten.
– Alle Arbeiten und Einstellungen im Rahmen des
Austausches dürfen, wenn nicht ausdrücklich an-
ders erwähnt, nur von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal
ausgeführt werden.
– Hocheffizienzpumpen arbeiten nahezu geräuschlos.
Störungen durch Luftansammlungen können mit ei-
nem Pumpendefekt verwechselt werden. Dies ist
bei der Funktionskontrolle zu beachten!
Die Einbau- und Betriebsanleitungen zu Pumpe, Regler
und Station gehören zum Lieferumfang und sind vor
Montage und nbetriebnahme sorgfältig zu lesen. Nach
nbetriebnahme sind die Unterlagen dem Anlagenbe-
treiber zu übergeben und in der Nähe der Anlage auf-
zubewahren. Für Schäden aufgrund Nichtbeachtung
der Einbau- und Betriebsanleitungen übernimmt der
Hersteller keine Haftung.

6.6 Montage

1. Die Station (1) aus der solierung nehmen. Dazu
die vordere solierung (4) und den Einlegeblock (2)
abziehen.
2. Die Position der Übergabestation an der Wand fest-
legen und zwei 10mm Bohrungen anbringen. Dazu
die hintere solierung als Bohrschablone verwen-
den.
3. Die beiden im Lieferumfang enthaltenen Dübel in
die Bohrlöcher einsetzen.

4. n die hintere solierung (5) das Distanzstück (3)
einlegen und an der Wand mit beiliegender
Schraube Ø8x100 mit SW12 und Unterlegscheibe
befestigen.
5. Anschließend die Station (1) in die solierung (5)
einsetzen und an der Wand mit beiliegender
Schraube Ø8x100 mit SW12 und Unterlegscheibe
befestigen.
6. Die Sicherheitsgruppe (6) mit zugehöriger Über-
wurfmutter und Dichtung an den Rücklaufkugel-
hahn anschrauben. Die Abblasleitung des Sicher-
heitsventils zum Auffangbehälter und die
Anschlussleitung von der Sicherheitsgruppe zum
Ausdehnungsgefäß anbringen (Montage Abblas-
leitung siehe auch Punkt 6.2 – Sicherheitsventil).
7. Die Rohrleitungen des Solarkreises an den oberen
und unteren Anschlüssen anbringen. Beim Anzie-
hen der Verbindungen ist gegenzuhalten.
8. Die Kabel der Pumpe entsprechend separater Mon-
tageanleitung des Solaranlagenherstellers an die
Regelung anschließen.
Der elektrische Anschluss hat gemäß den gesetz-
lichen Vorschriften zu erfolgen!

9. Die Solaranlage gründlich spülen. Dazu die
Schwerkraftbremse im Vorlaufstrang öffnen
(Schlitz senkrecht). Danach die Anlage mit der So-
larflüssigkeit füllen und auf Dichtheit prüfen.
10. Vor nbetriebnahme das Schwerkraftbremse in Be-
triebsstellung bringen (Schlitz waagerecht).

11. Die Hocheffizienzpumpe wird durch ein PWM-Sig-
nal, welches der Solarregler ausgibt, geregelt. Die
Fördermenge der Pumpe wird durch das Steuer-
signal des Reglers bestimmt. Dieses Signal ist ab-
hängig von der Temperaturdifferenz zwischen Kol-
lektor- und Speicherfühler.
Die hydraulische Einregelung kann durch die Ein-
stellschraube am Durchflussmesser vorgenommen
werden (siehe Punkt 6.3).
12. Die vordere solierschale (3) überschieben und die
Vor- und Rücklaufleitungen bis zur Wärmedäm-
mung isolieren.
7 Betrieb
7.1 Entlüftung der Anlage
Vor der nbetriebnahme muss die Anlage aufgefüllt
und entlüftet werden. Dabei sind die zulässigen Be-
triebsdrücke zu berücksichtigen.
7.2 Korrekturfaktoren für Wasser-Glykol-Gemische
Die Korrekturfaktoren der Frostschutzmittelhersteller
müssen bei der Durchflusseinstellung berücksichtigt
werden.
8 Zubehör
Die Verschraubungen zum Anschluss an das Rohrlei-
tungssystem sind separat zu bestellen.
Das Zubehörsortiment finden Sie im Katalog.
9 Wartung und Pflege
Die Armatur ist wartungsfrei.
Die Dichtheit und Funktion der Armatur und ihrer Ver-
bindungsstellen ist im Rahmen der Anlagenwartung
regelmäßig zu überprüfen. Eine gute Zugänglichkeit

the installer to install the solar station professionally
and to put it into operation.
Other valid documents – manuals of all system
components, especially the operating instructions of
the solar pump, as well as valid technical rules – must
be observed.

have to be carried out by authorised and qualified
tradesmen.
(EN 5011 part 1 and VDE 1000 part 10 for work on
electrical appliances).
3 Transport, storage and
packaging
3.1 Transport inspection
Upon receipt check delivery for any damages caused
during transit and for completeness.
Any damage must be reported immediately upon
receipt.
3.2 Storage
The solar station must only be stored under the
following conditions:
– Do not store in open air, keep dry and free from
dust.
– Do not expose to aggressive fluids or heat
sources.
– Protect from direct sunlight and mechanical
agitation.
– Storage temperature: –20°C up to +60°C,
max. relative humidity of air: 95 %
3.3 Packaging material
Packaging material is to be disposed of environmen-
tally friendly.
2 Safety notes
2.1 Correct use
Safety in operation is only guaranteed if the solar
station is used correctly.
The solar station is designed for the connection of
the storage cylinder to the collector.
Any use of the solar station outside the above
applications will be considered as non-compliant and
misuse. Claims of any kind against the manufacturer
and/or his authorised representatives due to damages
caused by incorrect use cannot be accepted.
The observance of the installation and operating
instructions is part of the compliance terms.
2.2 Possible dangers at the installation location and
during transport
The case of an external fire has not been taken into
consideration when constructing the solar station.
Heavy solar station!
Risk of injury! Suitable transport and lifting
devices are to be used. Wear suitable protective
clothing (e.g. safety shoes) during installation and
use safety devices. External components like
handwheels or pressure test points must not be
misused for the absorption of external forces, e.g.
as connection point for lever tools etc.
Hot and cold surfaces!
Risk of injury! Do not touch the solar station
without safety gloves. t may get very hot or cold
during operation.
Sharp edges!
Risk of injury! Only touch with safety gloves,
Threads, bore holes and edges are sharp.
Small components!
Risk of ingestion! Store and install the
components of the solar station out of reach of
children.
Allergies!
Health hazard! Do not touch the solar station and
avoid any contact if allergies against the used
materials are known.

f the collector surface is heated up by hot water
returning from the storage cylinder, the permissible
excess operating pressure in the pipework
between the storage cylinder and the solar station
can be exceeded!
– Once filling and flushing has been completed, all
ball valves in the solar station (return ball valve
and the balancing valve) and in the collector
circuit (e.g. filling and flushing device) must be
opened again!
– All ball valves must be in the open position during
operation!
– The boiler must be switched off during
maintenance or repair.
– The connection between the storage cylinder
and solar station must be protected by an
additional safety valve and/or a diaphragm
expansion tank!

5 Construction and function
5.1. Summary and funktional description
nstalled in the return pipe of the solar circuit, the
solar station is designed for the connection of the
storage cylinder and the collector.
The solar station consists of a supply and a return
line.
The supply line consists of an isolating ball valve and
a flanged pipe assembly with integrated check valve.
The return line features an isolating ball valve, a
circulation pump and a flow measuring device.
The safety group featuring a safety valve, a pressure
gauge and a connection for a diaphragm expansion
tank, is installed above the return ball valve.
The circulation pump installed in the return is
especially suitable for use in solar circuits.
The flow measuring device allows a fine setting of the
flow rate. n general, the required flow rate depends
on the number of collectors or the equipment of the
solar plant.
The flow meter can be shut off completely. The solar
pump can be replaced after isolation of the flow meter
and the pump ball valve.
Thermometers are included in the handles of the ball
valves.

6 Installation
The pipework has to be flushed thoroughly before
installation of the solar station.
Observe warning advice under paragraph 2
(safety notes)!
!
The solar station has to be installed vertically (flow
direction of the pump “upwards” to the collector).
This installation position provides a good optical
display of the thermometers, pressure gauge and
flow measuring device.
The functions of the flow measuring device and
the safety valve are only guaranteed when
vertically installed.
NOTICE
Suitable measures for thermal protection have to
be taken in order to protect the solar station from
a penetration of steam causing damage to the
components (e.g. central roof heating systems with
short pipes).
Provide an electromotive in-line tank, if required. For
further information on thermal protection visit
www.oventrop.de “Thermal solar plant – Construction,
initial operation and maintenance”.
– Do not use any greasing agents or oils for the
installation, as these can destroy the seals. Any
dirt particles or grease or oil residues must be
flushed out before the solar station is installed.
– When choosing the operating fluid, the latest
technical status has to be considered (e.g. VD
2035).
– Please protect against external forces (e.g.
impacts, vibrations etc.).

After installation, check all installation points for
leaks.
Before starting work, make sure that the pipework
and components have cooled down and been
drained.
Before work commences, please ensure that all
electrical components (controllers, pumps, etc.)
are disconnected from the power supply!
NOTICE
The solar station always has to be installed at a
lower level than the collectors so that no steam may
penetrate the expansion tank if stagnation occurs.
f the expansion tank is installed at the same or a
higher level than the solar station, a thermal insulation
loop is required.
The installation has to be flushed with fresh water
after each draining operation.
The solar station is not suitable for direct contact with
swimming pool water.
Operating position: Check valve closed, passage is
only possible in flow direction.
When putting the system into operation and during
maintenance work (filling and flushing), the check
valve must be open.

Under working conditions, the check valve has to be
set to operating position again.
6.1 Check valve
The product group is supplied pre-assembled. When
the solar plant is in operation, the slot of the check
valve must be in horizontal position.

The difference in density between cold and hot
heat transfer liquid entails a gravity circulation in
the solar circuit!
n exceptional cases, check valves can be opened
by strong self-circulation.
Gravity circulation is minimised by installing a
siphon-like pipe loop (see illustr. 6.2) near the
storage cylinder!
Alternatively, the installation of an additional
electric isolation device which is activated parallel
to the pump and only opens under working
conditions is recommended.

6.2 Safety valve
The following points must be observed during
installation of the discharge pipe:
− The discharge pipe has to be laid with a decline.
− The size of the discharge pipe has to be identical
to the outlet size of the diaphragm safety valve.
− The discharge pipe should not feature more than
two elbows and a length of 2 m should not be
exceeded.
− The discharge pipe has to be laid so that a back
pressure is avoided when the safety valve opens.
− The discharge pipe must not be laid in the open,
and the discharge must be freely accessible and
controllable.
− Escaping heat transfer liquid must be drained
without risk.
− f the discharge pipe ends above a draining funnel,
the diameter of the outlet of the draining funnel
must be twice the size of the valve entry.
6.3 Flow setting
The flow rate is set with the help of a slot screwdriver
or, as illustrated, a 4 mm Allen key. The generated
pressure is displayed at the viewing glass and can be
read off directly. The scale features two sections, one
for water (0 %) and one for a 25 % water and glycol
mixture (25 %). The flow rate is read off at the lower
edge of the float. The illustration shows a water flow
rate of 20 l/h and a flow rate of 16 l/h of the 25 %
water and glycol mixture.

6.4 Temperature sensor
Both isolating ball valves may be equipped with a
temperature sensor by wedging it between the ball
valve and the wall bracket.

6.5 Use of high-efficiency pumps
Europe’s leading manufacturers of heating
pumps have agreed on a uniform rating of
energy consumption. The energy label is
comparable with that of refrigerators and other
household appliances. The latest high-efficiency
pumps (ECM technology, synchronous motor with
permanent magnetic rotor) have a class A rating.
The efficiency of these pumps is twice that of
classic pumps (asynchronous motors). The pump
speed (pump capacity) is automatically adapted
to the requirements. As a result, the energy
consumption can be reduced by 80 %.

A modification of the thermal insulation is not
permissible! The pump motor must not be
covered!

Important information on the replacement/
connection of controllers and speed controlled
high-efficiency pumps
n addition to the power supply cable (230 V), speed
controlled high-efficiency pumps call for a separate
cable for the transmission of the control signal.
The most common control signals are 0-10 V and
pulse-width modulated signals (PWM) of proportional
and inverted type.
The type of signal is specified in the operating
instructions of the corresponding pump! f the
control signals of the controller and the pump are not
coordinated, an operation is not possible.
To avoid malfunctions and severe damage to
installations with speed controlled high-efficiency
pumps, the following must be observed:
– The pump must only be replaced with a pump with
identical control signal!
− The controller must only be replaced with a
controller with identical control signal!
− When combining a pump and a controller with
different control signals, operating safety is no
longer guaranteed. Wrong control signals may
cause damage to the installation and endanger
health!
− The following functional test has to be carried out
when putting the controller or pump into operation
and when replacing them:
1. Switch pump to “ON” in the manual menu (relay
test) –the pump is in operation now.
2. Now switch the pump to “OFF” – the pump is no
longer in operation.
– Work on electrical installations must only be carried
out by a qualified electrician.
– Always disconnect the power supply before starting
work on electrical components.
– f not stated otherwise, all work and settings must
only be carried out by a trained tradesman.
– Under working conditions, high-efficiency pumps
are almost silent. Malfunctions caused by airlocks
could be confounded with a pump defect. This has
to be taken into account when carrying out the
functional test!
The installation and operating instructions that come
with the pump, controller and station have to be read
in their entirety before installation and initial operation.
The instructions have to remain with the user of the
system. Claims of any kind due to damages caused
by the nonobservance of the instructions or incorrect
use cannot be accepted.

1. Remove the station (1) from the insulation. Pull off
the front insulation (4) and the insertion block (2).
2. Determine the position of the station on the
wall and provide two 10 mm bore holes. Use rear
insulation as drilling jig.
3. nsert the included dowels into the bore holes.

4. nsert the distance piece (3) into the rear insulation
(5) and fix it onto the wall using the enclosed screw
Ø8x100 (spanner size 12) and washer.
5. Mount the station (1) into the insulation (5) and fix
it into the wall using the enclosed screw Ø 8x100
(spanner size 12) and washer.
6. Screw the safety group (6) with the corresponding
collar nut and seal onto the return ball valve. Mount
the discharge pipe of the safety valve towards the
collection basin and the connection pipe of
the safety group towards the expansion tank
(installation discharge pipe see also point 6.2 –
Safety valve).
7. Connect the pipework of the solar circuit to the
upper and lower connection. Hold firm while
tightening.
8. Connect the cables of the pump to the control
according to the separate installation instructions
of the solar plant manufacturer.
The electrical connection has to be carried out
according to the legal requirements!

9. Flush the solar plant thoroughly by opening
the check valve in the supply line (slot in vertical
position). Fill the solar plant with solar liquid and
carry out leakage test.
10. Before initial operation set the check valve to
operating position (slot in horizontal position).

11. The high-efficiency pump is controlled by a PWM
signal which is provided by the solar controller.
The pump capacity is determined by the control
signal of the controller. This signal depends on
the temperature difference between the collector
and storage cylinder sensors. Hydronic regulation
can be carried out with the help of the adjustment
screw at the flow measuring device (see point 6.3).
12. Mount the front insulation (4) and insulate the
supply and return pipes up to the thermal
insulation.
7 Operation
7.1 Bleeding the system
Before initial operation, the system must be filled
and bled with due consideration of the permissible
operating pressures.
7.2 Correction factors for mixtures of water and
glycol
The correction factors of the manufacturers of the
antifreeze liquids have to be considered when setting
the flow rate.
8 Accessories
The couplings for the connection of the pipework have
to be ordered separately.
The complete range of accessories can be found in
the catalogue.
9 Maintenance
The station is maintenance-free.
Tightness and function of the station and its
connection points have to be checked regularly during
maintenance. The station must be easily accessible.

2.3 Montage, mise en service, entretien
Le montage, la mise en service, l’entretien et les
réparations ne doivent être effectués que par des
personnes qualifiées (professionnels du chauffage,
entreprises d’installation agréées).
(EN 5011 partie 1 et VDE 1000 partie 10 pour travaux
sur installations électriques).
3 Transport, stockage et
emballage
3.1 Inspection après transport
Contrôler la robinetterie immédiatement après
réception et avant le montage. Veiller à ce qu’elle soit
complète et sans dommages liés au transport. Si des
dommages ou d’autres défauts sont constatés,
n’accepter la marchandise que sous réserve. Emettre
une réclamation en respectant les délais applicables.
3.2 Stockage
Ne stocker la station solaire que dans les conditions
suivantes:
– Dans un lieu sec, propre et abrité.
– Non exposée à des agents agressifs.
– A l’abri du rayonnement solaire ou de sources de
chaleur.
– Protégée des vibrations mécaniques excessives.
–
A une température de stockage de –20 °C à +60 °C.
– A une humidité relative max. de l’air de 95 %.
3.3 Emballage
Le matériel d’emballage est à éliminer dans le respect
de l’environnement.
2 Consignes de sécurité
2.1 Utilisation conforme
La sûreté de fonctionnement de la station solaire n’est
garantie que si elle est affectée à l’utilisation prévue.
La station solaire sert au raccordement du ballon
d’eau chaude au capteur.
Toute autre utilisation de la station solaire est interdite
et réputée non conforme. Les revendications de toute
nature à l’égard du fabricant et/ou ses mandataires
pour des dommages résultant d’une utilisation non
conforme ne seront pas acceptées.
L’utilisation conforme inclut notamment l’application
des recommandations de la notice d’installation et
d’utilisation.
2.2 Risques liés au lieu d’installation et au
transport
Le cas d’un incendie externe n’a pas été pris en
considération lors de la conception de la station
solaire.
Station solaire lourde!
Risque de blessure! Utiliser des moyens de
transport et de levage appropriés. Porter des
vêtements de protection (par ex. chaussures de
sécurité) et mettre en place des dispositifs de
protection pendant le montage. Les accessoires
de robinetterie tels que poignées manuelles ou
manettes ne doivent pas être utilisés comme point
d’attache pour des engins de levage etc.
Surfaces chaudes!
Risque de blessure! Ne pas toucher sans gants
de protection. En service, la station solaire peut
devenir très chaude.
Arêtes vives!
Risque de blessure! Ne pas toucher sans gants
de protection. Les filetages, perçages et angles
présentent des arêtes vives.
Petits accessoires!
Risques d’ingestion! Stocker et installer les
composants de la station solaire ‘hors de portée
des enfants.
Allergies!
Risque pour la santé! Ne pas toucher la station
solaire en cas d’allergies aux matériaux utilisés.
AVERTISSEME T

Dans le cas d’un échauffement par retour d’eau
chaude dans le circuit du capteur solaire, la
surpression admissible dans la tuyauterie entre le
ballon d’eau chaude et la station solaire peut être
dépassée!
– Une fois le remplissage et le rinçage terminés,
tous les robinets à tournant sphérique dans la
station solaire (robinet à tournant sphérique sur
le retour et robinet d’équilibrage) et dans le circuit
du capteur (par ex. ensemble de remplissage et
de rinçage) doivent être ouverts à nouveau!
– Tous les robinets à tournant sphérique doivent
rester ouverts en période de service!
– La chaudière doit être mise hors service en cas
de travaux d’entretien ou de réparation.
– La liaison ballon d’eau chaude – station solaire
doit être protégée à l’aide d’une soupape
de sécurité additionnelle et/ou d’un vase
d’expansion à membrane!

5 Conception et fonctionnement
5.1 Vue d’ensemble de description du fonctionnement
La station solaire se monte sur le retour du circuit
solaire et sert au raccordement du ballon d’eau chaude
au capteur.
Elle se compose d’une colonne aller et d’une colonne
retour.
La colonne aller se compose d’un robinet d’arrêt à
tournant sphérique et d’un groupe entretoise à brides
avec clapet ATS intégré.
La colonne retour dispose d’un robinet d’arrêt à
tournant sphérique, d’un circulateur et d’un
débitmètre.
Le groupe de sécurité se monte au-dessus du robinet
à tournant sphérique sur le retour. l est équipé d’une
soupape de sécurité, d’un manomètre et d’un
dispositif de raccordement pour vase d’expansion.
Le circulateur monté sur le retour est spécialement
conçu pour l’utilisation dans des circuits solaires.
Le réglage fin du débit peut être effectué au
débitmètre. En règle générale, le débit nécessaire
dépend du nombre de capteurs ou de l’équipement
de l’installation.
Le débitmètre peut être fermé complètement. Le
circulateur solaire peut être remplacé après avoir
fermé le débitmètre et le robinet d’arrêt à tournant
sphérique.
Les robinets à tournant sphérique sont équipés de
thermomètres.
