the flat panel display or projector unit, be sure to
turn the power off, and remove the power plug from
the socket.

Never attempt to disassemble or modify this
product.

Do not allow the unit to be wet to enter the unit.
●Doingsomaycausefireorelectricshock.
If you sense smoke, unpleasant odour or unusual
noises, immediately disconnect the power plug from
the socket.
●Usingtheproductinanabnormalconditionmay
causefireorelectricshock.

Precautions for use
This product is a DIGITAL LINK terminal board
used by being attached to a Panasonic display and
projector.
Do not touch this product directly by hand.
●Staticelectricitymayoccur,destroyingthe
components.Staticelectricityisalsogeneratedfrom
clothingorhumanbody.Letthestaticelectricity
escapebytouchingmetallicobjectssuchasasteel
cabinetbeforehand.
Be sure to use the specified connection cable.
●Otherwise,malfunctionoroperationerrorsmayoccur.
Do not touch the terminals or metal parts during
use.
●Theymaybehotforawhileduringandafteruse.
When setting up this product at a place, where static
electricity occurs often, take a sufficient antistatic
measure before start using.
●Whenthisproductisusedatalocation,wherestatic
electricityoccursoften,suchasonacarpet,awired
LANorDIGITALLINKcommunicationisdisconnected
moreoften.Inthatcase,removestaticelectricity
andthenoisesourcethatmaycauseproblemswith
anantistaticmat,andre-connectthewiredLANor
DIGITALLINK.
●Inrarecases,theLANconnectionisdisableddue
tostaticelectricityornoise.Inthatcase,turnoffthe
powerofthisproductandtheconnecteddevices
once,andthenturnonthepoweragain.
This product may not work properly due to strong
radio wave from the broadcast station or the radio.
●Ifthereisanyfacilityorequipment,whichoutputs
strongradiowave,neartheinstallationlocation,set
uptheproductatalocationsufficientlyfarfromthe
sourceoftheradiowave.Or,wraptheLANcable
connectedtotheDIGITALLINKinput/LANterminal
andDIGITALLINKoutputterminalbyusingapieceof
metalfoilorametalpipegroundedatbothends.

willnotbeconnectedproperly.
Replacing the
terminal board
The replacement instruction below is based on the
flat panel display as an example.
Forattachingorremovingthisproducttoorfromtheflat
paneldisplayunit,itisrecommendedtoaskaqualified
technicianorsalesdealer.Amalfunctionmayoccurdue
tostaticelectricity,etc.Consultthesalesdealer.
Followthestepsbelow.
Note
●Besuretoturnoffthedisplayunitandconnected
devices,removethepowerplugfromthesocket,and
disconnectthecablesfromthedisplay.
●Whenattaching/removingtheterminalboard,donot
allowthemetaltodamagethebackcoverordisplay
label.
1Remove the 2 screws, and then remove the slot
cover or terminal board from the display unit.
Toremovetheterminalboard,holdthehandleof
theterminalboardandpullitoutslowlyinthearrow
direction.

2Insert the terminal board to the main unit slot,
and tighten the 2 screws.
Fixtheterminalboardwiththe2screwsremovedin
step1.
●Tighteningtorqueguideline:0.5N·morless
Note
●Whenreplacinganotherterminalboardwiththis
product,thecustomershallkeepthereplaced
terminalboardforfuturerepairorservicing.

Precautions for use
while connecting
with a twisted pair
cable transmitter
Aboutinstallation/connection
●Askaprofessionalorthedealertocarryoutthecable
wiringworkforDIGITALLINKconnections.Insufficient
wiringworkmaycausetheinabilitytoapplythecable
transmissioncharacteristicsandcroppedorfuzzy
imagesandsounds.
●Thetransmissiondistancebetweenthetwisted
paircabletransmitterandthisproductisnormally
upto100meters.Whentransmitting4Ksignal,
themaximumis50meters.Whenthetransmitter
supports[Longreach]communicationmethod,the
transmittabledistanceisupto150m.Pleasenote
thatifexceedingthelimit,videooraudiomaybe
interrupted,ormalfunctionmaybecausedduring
LANcommunication.Furthermore,whenconnecting
using[Longreach]communicationmethod,
dependingonthespecificationofthetransmitters,
transmittablevideosignalsorthedistancemaybe
limited.
●Donotuseahubbetweenthetwistedpaircable
transmitterandthisproduct.
●Whenconnectingthisproductusingthetwistedpair
cabletransmitter(receiver)ofothermanufacturer,
donotuseanothertwistedpaircabletransmitter
betweenthetwistedpaircabletransmitterofother
manufacturerandthisproduct.Theimagesand
soundsmaybeinterruptedorbecomeunstable.
●Ifpossible,laythecableextendedandnotcoiledin
ordertominimizebothexternalandinternalnoise.
●Layoutcablesofthetwistpaircabletransmitterand
thisproductawayfromothercables,especiallyfrom
thepowersupplycable.
●Whenlayingmultiplecables,keepthemtogetheras
closeaspossiblerunningparallellyandnotbundled.
●Thesignalqualitycannotbeconfirmedonamodel
thatdoesnotsupportDIGITALLINKsignalquality
displayontheon-screenmenu.
Afterlayingcables,ensurethatthesignalqualityis
-12dBorloweronamodelthatsupportsDIGITAL
LINKsignalqualitydisplayontheon-screenmenu.
