■Assembly
1Assemble the optional stand or wall-mounting kit.
■If you are using a stand, refer to page 15.
■If you are using a wall-mounting kit, refer to page 19.
2Remove the electronic board from the shipping box.
Remove the joints, then remove the electronic board from the shipping box.
• When removing the screen unit, grasp the metal frames on both sides of the screen.
Do not grasp the screen film surface, as this may scratch it.
• The shipping box, cushioning material, and other packing material will be necessary if you ever need to
repackage the electronic board, so do not throw them away.

• When removing the screen unit, grasp the metal frames on both sides of the screen.
Do not grasp the screen film surface, as this may scratch it.
• The shipping box, cushioning material, and other packing material will be necessary if you ever need to
repackage the electronic board, so do not throw them away.

3Collapse the shipping box.
Remove the tape on the unopened side of the
shipping box, then collapse the box.
4Remove the protective plastic bags.
After removing the protective plastic bags from
the screen unit and scanner / printer unit, set
those units on top of the collapsed shipping
box.
• Do not touch the screen film surface as doing so
may damage it.
5Attach the scanner / printer unit to
the optional stand or wall-mounting
kit.
■If you are using the stand (option):
1) Hang the scanner / printer unit on the stand
fixtures using the wing bolts Aor B.
• The electronic board can be mounted
200 mm (7 7/8”) higher than hang position A
by hanging it with the wing bolts B.
2) Install the scanner / printer unit with the two
wing bolts included in the stand (option).

■If you are using the wall-mounting
kit (option):
1) Hang the scanner / printer unit on the wall-
mounting fixtures using the wing bolts
A or B ( ➊ ).
2) Screw the two wing bolts [included in the wall-
mounting kit (option)] into the lower side
wall-mounting fixtures (➋).
• The electronic board can be mounted
200 mm (7 7/8”) higher than hang position A
by hanging it with the wing bolts B.
6Remove the fastening belt
( ➊ ),
cushions (➋) and tapes (➌).
7Insert the two supplied screen
fastening brackets into the screen
unit frame.
8Open the screen film surface.
• When opening the screen film surface, be
careful not to scratch or wrinkle it.

9Fasten the brackets.
1) Move the screen fastening brackets toward the
center and fasten them with the four
hexagonal screws provided.
2) Fasten the screen fastening brackets in the
front of the screen with two hexagonal screws
provided.
10 Attach the screen unit to the
scanner / printer unit.
1) Set the two provided hexagonal screws to the
scanner / printer unit. (Be sure to leave about
5 mm (1/2”) space to hang the screen unit.)
2) Hang the screen unit on the scanner / printer
unit, fitting the screen mounting guide through
the hole of the screen unit.

3) Fasten the two screws (➊), then secure the
screen unit with the two provided hexagonal
screws (➋).
4) Loosen the hexagonal screw (➊) and move
the gear fixing bracket in the direction of the
arrow (➋). [The gear (A) will be raised.]
5) Fasten the hexagonal screw (➋) while
pressing the gear fixing bracket in the
direction of the arrow (➊).
11 Remove the tape fastening the

12 Remove the roller and paper.
Bend and remove the roller (➊), then remove
the paper with tape (➋). (The roller and paper
are needed for repacking.)
13 Attach the upper frame cover.
1) Align the upper frame cover with the metal
fittings on the left and right ends, then rotate it
in the direction of the arrows.
2) Be sure the back of the frame cover (A) is fit to
the frame of the screen unit and push down
the two rivets.
3) Place the wrench in the wrench holder.

14 Attach the lower frame cover.
1) Align the lower frame cover with the metal
fittings on the left and right ends (➊), then
lower it in the direction of the arrows (➋).
2) Lift the lower frame cover up (➊) and fasten it
with the two supplied wing bolts (➋).
15 Connect the power cord.
1) Securely fit the supplied power cord into the
AC inlet on the printer unit.
2) Fit the power cord into the cable holder.

16 Wipe the screen film surface.
Soak a soft cloth with water, wring well, and
wipe the screen film surface.
• Do not wipe the screen film surface with paint
thinner, benzene, or cleaners that contain
abrasives. Doing so may cause discoloration.
• Do not wipe the screen film surface with a dry
cloth. Doing so may create static electricity.

Electronic Board Operations Check
After assembling the electronic board, perform the procedures presented in the following table to make sure it
functions properly.
*1Contact the store or dealer from which the unit was purchased.

Repacking
Perform Assembly Steps 2 through 15 on pages 4 - 11 in reverse to repack the electronic board and accessories.
Use the joints to fasten the shipping box.
• When handling the screen unit, grasp the metal frames on both sides of the screen.
Do not grasp the screen film surface, as this may scratch it.
Note
• To release the two rivets at step 13-2 on page 10, turn the rivets counterclockwise with a screw driver (➊). [The pin
of the rivets will be raised (➋).]

• Install and always set the fall-prevention legs when using the stand.
• When tightening the screw , hold the nut with pliers.

• When folding back the fall-prevention extension legs to release the lock, perform as follows.

Optional Wall-mounting Kit (KX-B063)
Before attempting installation of this wall-mounting kit, we strongly recommend consulting with the building manager,
engineer, or architect. The installer needs to know the type of construction used for the wall intended for this
installation and the location of wall studs. Selection of hardware is critical for safe wall-mounting, and depends on the
nature of wall construction. Installation should not occur until this consultation takes place.
• Do not attach the electronic board to mortared walls. Accidental electric leakage from the wall-mounting
fixture bolts to metal laths or wire laths can cause heat, smoke or a fire.
1. Tools required:
A minimum of eight (8) pieces of appropriate wall-support hardware (molley, toggle, etc.)
NOTE: THIS HARDWARE MUST BE LOCALLY PROCURED, IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE KIT.
Drill (and drill bit of correct size) for hardware installation
Screw driver (Both phillips (+) and slotted (–) will be required.)
Tape measure
Tape or thumb-tacks (2 pcs)
Bubble type level
2. Pre-requisites
1. Before installation, make sure that the wall intended for installation is capable of supporting flush-
mounted.
UB-5325 is 180 kgf (397 lbs.).
UB-5825 is 195 kgf (430 lbs.).
2. The position of the intended installation is of adequate size for the selected Panaboard.
UB-5325 is 1,516 mm (H) ×1,550 mm (W) [5'(H) ×5'2"(W)].
UB-5825 is 1,516 mm (H) ×1,912 mm (W) [5'(H) ×6'3"(W)].
3. An outlet is within 3 m (9’ 10 1/8"), and not located behind the Panaboard.
■Accessories
The package box for the optional wall-mounting kit includes the parts noted below; please confirm that all parts are
present before beginning installation. Eight screws for mounting the fixtures on the wall are not provided. Please
purchase the appropriate wall-mounting hardware (sold in stores). Refer to page 21.

■Wall-mounting procedure
1Confirm that the wall is strong enough to support the weight of the electronic board.
The wall must be capable of supporting at least
1,765N [180 kgf (397 lbs.)] for UB-5325
1,912N [195 kgf (430 lbs.)] for UB-5825.
2Tape the Wall-mounting template on the wall.
• Do not use the template included in the wall-mounting kit (KX-B063), but rather the one included with
the electronic board (UB-5325 / UB-5825).
• When taping the template on the wall, make sure it is level.
31) Drill holes in the wall for the wall-mounting fixtures (8 holes total).
• Holes on the wall-mounting fixture are 7 mm (1/4") in diameter.
2) After removing the wall-mounting template, attach the wall-mounting fixtures
with the appropriate wall-mounting hardware (two screws in each fixture).
* This hardware must be locally procured, it is not included in the kit.
• Refer to the section “Attaching the wall-mounting fixtures” on page 21 for drilling in the wall and attaching
the mounting fixtures.
4Assemble and install the electronic board.
