Safety warnings and precautions
Warning: Always follow basic safety precautions
when using the tool to reduce the risk of personal
injury and damage to equipment.
1. Keep the work area clean. Messy areas
invite injury.
2. Investigate workplace conditions. Donot
use machines or power tools in damp or wet
places. Do not expose to rain. Keep thework
area well lit. Donot use electricallypowered
tools near flammable gases or liquids.
3. Keep children away. Children must never be
allowed in the work area. Never let children
handle machines, toolsor extension cords.
4. Store inactive equipment. When not in
use,the tool must be stored in a dry place
toinhibit rust. Always lock up tools and
keepthem out of reach of children.
5. Use the right tool for the job. Do not try
toforce a small tool or accessory to do work
intended for a larger industrial tool. There are
certain applications that this toolas designed
for. It does the job better and safer at the rate
it was intended for. Do not modify this tool or
use this tool for a purpose for which it was not
intended.
6. Wear eye and ear protection. Always wear
ANSI approved safety goggles. Weara full
face shield when generating metal chips/
sawdust.
7. Dress accordingly. Do not wear loose clothing
or jewellery as these may get caught up in
moving parts. Protective electrically non-
conductive clothing and non-slip shoes are
recommended whenworking. Wear hairnets to
keep longhair covered.
8. Do not overreach Maintain proper footing and
balance at all times, especially when the tool is
running.
9. Maintain the tool meticulously. Keep the
tools sharp and clean for better and safer
performance. Follow the instructions for
lubrication and replacement of accessories.
Inspect tool cords regularly and if damaged,
have them repaired by an authorised technician.
Handles must always be kept clean, dry and
free from oil and grease.
10. Disconnecting the air supply. Disconnect the
tool from the air supply when not in use.
11. Remove adjustment knobs and keys.
Ensurethat the keys and setting keys
areremoved from the tool's machine
worksurface before use.
12. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing and use
common sense. Do not use tools if you are
tired.
