FIRST AID TREATMENT:
Ifinhaled,getmedicalattentionifyoufeelunwell.Afterskincontact,rinseaffectedareawithsoapandwater.
After eye contact, rinse/flush eyes gently using water for 15-20minutes.
This product is not a toy. Keep it away from the reach of children. Use it only for its bark stopping purpose.

• Avoid leaving the collar on the dog for more than 12 hours per day.
• When possible, reposition the collar on the pet’s neck every 1to2 hours.
• Check the fit toprevent excessive pressure; follow the instructions in this manual.
• Never connect a lead to the electronic collar.
• When using a separate collar for a lead, donot put pressure on the electronic collar.
• Wash the dog’s neck areaand the contact area ofthe collar weekly with a damp cloth.
• Examine the contact area daily for signs of a rash or a sore.
• If a rash orsore is found, discontinue use of the collar until the skin has healed.
• If the condition persists beyond 48 hours, see your veterinarian.

SprayBarkCollareffectivelydetersnuisancebarkingwhenitisworn.Thesoundand
vibration ofyour dog’s bark triggers the sensor probe, which emits a burst ofspray.
Thecollarworkswellwithbothunscentedorcitronellaspray.Citronellaisauniquescentthatmost
dogsdonotnormallyencounter.Bothsprayoptionsaresafeandwilldistractyourdogandinterruptthe
unwanted barking.
Asanaddedsafetyfeature,theSprayBarkCollarwillautomaticallyshutofffor3minutesifyourdog
barks 15 times or more within a 50-second period.
Charge the Spray Bark Collar
Excessivechargingcanshortenthebatterylife.Onlychargeyour
collar when the batteries arelow.
1. Pluginandfullychargethe collar( 1A ).Thiscantakeupto
6 hours.
2. Whenfullycharged,thegreenLEDonthecollarwillturnoff.
Replace the rubber cover after charging.
To Turn the Collar On

button press.

press andwill turn off when the collar turns off.
Battery Life
Averagebatterylifeis40hours,dependingonhowoftenyourdog
barks.However,duetogreateruseduringyourdog’s training,thefirst
week may not last as long.
Quick Tip: When not using the collar, turn it off to extend battery life.

Add the Spray Cartridge
1. Ensure the collar isoff.
2. Thecartridgereplacementislocatedonthebottomof
the collar.
3. Pressandslidethebuttonandthecartridgedoorwill
open ( 2A ).
4. Removethecartridgeandreplacewithanewone(inserted
nozzle first). Ensure the shipping cap isremoved off the cartridges
before inserting into the collar ( 2B ).
5. Close the cartridge door( 2C ).
Do not expose the device to freezing
temperatures (0 °C) or to conditions
warmer than 45 °C. Do not leave the
deviceindirectsunlight.Neverleavethe
deviceinacarwherethedevicecanheat
uptohightemperatures (45°C).

Fit the Collar
Important: The proper fit and placement of the Spray Bark Collar is important for
effective operation. The bark sensor must have direct contact with your dog’s skin on the
underside of his neck.
1. Besurethecollaristurnedoffbeforeplacingitonyourpet.
Thenwithyourpetstanding( 3A ),fitthecollarsnuglyontoyour
pet’s necksothatthebarksensormakescontactwithyourpet’s
skinontheundersideofhisorherneck.MakesurethePetSafe
®
logo is right-side up( 3B ).
2. Checkthetightnessofthecollarbyinsertingonefingerbetween
the end of the bark sensor and your pet’s neck ( 3C ). The fit
should be snug but not constricting.
3. Allowyourpettowearthecollarforafewminutes,thencheck
it again.
Youmayneedtotrimthehairintheareaofthe
contactpoints.Nevershaveyourpet’s neck;
this may lead to a rash or infection.
4. Once you are satisfied with the fit of the collar, remove itfrom
yourpet and trim it,but make suretoallow room for growth or
a thicker winter coat. Use a lighter toseal the cut sothatitwill
not fray.
5. Thecollarwillslipifitisnotproperlythreadedontothestrap.
The slide buckle prevents the collar from becoming loose
aroundyourpet’s neckandtheridgesmustbefacingup( 3D ).
Thecollarshouldnotbewornformorethan12
hoursoutofevery24-hourperiod.Leavingthe
collar on too long could lead to skin irritation.

Test the Collar
1. Plugthe charger intothe Spray Bark Collar (4A, 4B).
2. Ensurethesprayportispointedawayfromyourface.While
t h e c h a r g e r i s p l u gg e d i n , p r e ss a n d h o l d t h e o n / o ff b u tt o n .

following will begin: the Spray Bark Collar will emit a tone

tone and turn itself off.

Ensure a Proper Spray Pattern

SprayBarkCollartoperformproperly,thenozzle
mustbepositionedcorrectlyandtheremustbeaclearpathfromthe
spraynozzletoyourdog’s snout.Followthesesteps:
1. MakesurethePetSafelogoonthefrontofthecollarisupright
andthespraynozzleisangledoutandpointinguptowards the
dog’s snout ( 5A ).
2. Forlong-haireddogs,itmaybenecessaryto trimtheneckhairs
alongthepathofthespray.Itisimportantthatthesprayreaches
the dog’s snout to beeffective.
What to Expect During Use
Important: Do not leave your dog alone the first few times he receives a stimulation.
Placethecollarproperlyonyourdogandwaitnearbyuntilhebarks.Mostdogswillunderstandvery
quicklythatthecollarisdisruptingtheirurgetobarkandwillrelaxandstopbarking.Becausethespray
maybe surprising orstartlingatfirst,somedogsmaybarkmoreattheinitial stimulation.
Onrareoccasions,adogmaybeginbarkingatthestimulation.Ifthishappens,reassureyourdogwitha
calmvoice.Asyourdogrelaxes,hewillunderstandthatifhebecomesquiet,hewillnotreceiveanymore
spraystimulations.Thenumberofdogsthathavethisreactiontypicallywillonlyhaveitthefirsttimethey
wear the Spray BarkCollar.
Youshouldnoticeareductioninyourdog’s barkingwithinthefirstcoupleofdaysthathewearstheSpray
BarkCollar.Atthispoint,itisimportanttorememberthelearningprocessisstillnotcomplete.Dogswill
“test”thisnewlearningexperienceandmayincreasetheirattemptstobark.Thisusuallyoccursduringthe
secondweekadogwearstheSprayBarkCollar.Ifthisdoesoccur,remainconsistentanddonotalter
youruseoftheSprayBarkCollar.YoumustplacetheSprayBarkCollaronyourdogineverysituation
whenyouexpecthimtobequiet.IfyourdogisnotwearingtheSprayBarkCollar,hemayresume
barking and his learning will suffer a setback.
Tips and Maintenance
• Beforeplayingwithyourdog,removetheSprayBarkCollar.Theactivitymaycauseyourdog tobark,
which could lead to him associating the play with the burst of spray.
• Toensurethatyourdogdoesnotmaketheconnectionbetweenyouandthespraycollar,donotlethim
seeyoupreparethecollarforthefirsttry,orforsubsequentuse.Keepyourdogawaywhileyouprepare
the collaraswellaswhenyoureplace thecartridgeorcharge thebattery.
• Removeallothercollarswithmetallicpartsortags.Thesecouldcreatenoisethatmayneedlessly
activate thespray.
• To ensure effectiveness, avoid letting your dog wear the collarwith an empty cartridge.
• Turn off the collar while not in use.
