Instructions > PMI Bucket Belt
The PMI Bucket Belt (Ladder Belt) is designed especially for fall
prevention of workers in bucket trucks, and should be rigged to
prevent any possibility of a fall.
SG51123
Weight: 2.1 lbs (953 g)
INTENDED USE
USE GUIDELINES
Proper Belt maintenance is essential for maximum
performance and safety:
• Store Belt loosely packed in a clean, dry environment.
• A wet Belt should be thoroughly dried before storage.
• Do not expose the Belt to direct fl ame or high temperature.
• Do not expose the Belt to chemicals or damaging substances.
• Belt may be hand washed in cool water. Use clear water or non detergent
cleanser, and rinse thoroughly.
Inspect Belt before and after each use, paying special
attention to load bearing buckles and components.
Inspection criteria should be established by the user
according to his needs, and must consider at least the
following hazards:
• Missing or torn components.
• Improperly functioning buckles or attachment points.
• Webbing and/or stitching that shows excessive wear.
• Chemical damage or exposure.
• Heat damage.
• Belt should be allocated to single user.
• Adjust the Belt as necessary to perform properly with different clothing.
• Keep Belt from contact with harsh chemical or corrosive substances.
• Avoid excessive abrasion.
• Compatibility with other equipment must be verifi ed by user.
• Repair or modifi cation of this product without manufacturer’s expressed
written consent is strictly forbidden.
INSTRUCTIONS
• Wear the Belt over uniform clothing as appropriate.
• Connect the small snap hook (sewn to the waist belt) to the V shaped
adjustable buckle over the waist belt webbing.
• Pull or loosen the tail of the webbing to attain a secure and comfortable
fi t.
• Belt must be worn snug around the waist to provide the best security.
• Excess webbing must be tucked out of the way with the elastic loop on the
belt.
• The orange lanyard with the large Snap Hook is designed as the primary
connection point. Connect this Snap Hook to suitable anchor up to 5/8”
diameter.
• User must ensure that the anchorage is appropriately located and
suffi ciently strong to prevent the wearer from falling.
• The Belt can be rotated around the waist to position the tether to ensure
appropriate fall protection.
• For maximum protection, keep the orange tether unobstructed between the
anchorage and the wearer.
• When not in use, it is advised to clip the large snap hook at the end of
the orange lanyard to one of the D-rings. Never connect a lanyard or the
like between the belt’s tether and the anchor since the greater length may
allow a fall.
The two D-ring buckles on each side of the orange lanyard are
designed as secondary attachment points for additional anchorage
straps, lanyards, etc.
• As a general rule, use them only in addition to the primary attachment
lanyard and large snap hook.
• It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that any equipment attachment to
these D-rings is compatible with the size of the D-ring and will provide the
needed support.
