PPA PIVOTING User manual

Before using the OPERATOR, read and 󰎣rictly follow all intruction in
this manual.
This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with physical, sensory
or mental abilities reduced or by people with lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have received in󰏭ructions regarding the use of the device or under the supervision of a person
responsible for their safety. It is recommended that children be supervised and guided by ensuring
that they do not play with the product.
It is important for the safety of people to follow all in󰎣ructions. Keep
these in󰎣ructions.

Important safety in󰎣ructions

manual. Improper in󰎣allation can lead to serious injury.
- Do not allow children th handle the remote control equipment. Keep
away from the children and avoing unnecessary opening and consequently
decreasing the security of the place;
- Pivotiong operator mu󰏭 be in󰏭alled internally and shoud not extend the
public roads;
- Do not trigger the operator, at lea󰏭 when you are sure that there are not
children, animals, objects or ob󰏭acles in the path of the gate or in its vicinity;
- Careful when using the unlick sy󰏭em of the operator for a manual
movement of the gate;
- Do not automate gates that have incorporated pede󰏭rian doors.
- Turn o the electrical grid (power supply) when performing cleaning or maintenance. Is
mandatory maintenance/ in󰏭allation of the operator by a speciali󰏭.
- It is very importante to wait for the limit switch of the operator movement and keep people away
until the gatei s completely opening or closing.
- Often check the in󰏭allation, security sy󰏭em mounting brackets, mechanical wear, damage
or imbalance, good mechanical condition (opening and closing appropriate). Perform periodic
cleaning in the gate guide to avoid ru󰏭ing and requires more operator force. Do not perform
repairs or adju󰏭men󰏭 on your own. Look for a technican to perform the repairs since a failed
in󰏭allation or improper repair can cause injury to the user;
- This device is considered suitable for use in countries with hot weather and con󰏭ant humidity. It
can also be used in other countries as long as they respect the temperature range described in the
technical specications found in the technical manual available in www.ppa.com.br;
- If the power cord is damaged, ask the technician replacement in order to avoid risks. The use of
Ground is required;
- Before in󰏭allation, you need to check on the identication label, the equipment temerature
ranges is suitable to the in󰏭allation place.
Equipment identication
For added security the user, the PPA OPERATOR has some marking labels, identication and
attention.
WARNING
Always check the labels. If the 󰎣ickers are damages or become
unreadable, get another in a PPA representative.
Shutdown means
For the total shutdown of the operator, it is necessary to use a shutdown device that should
be incorporated into the wiring xed and located near the operator.
Examples of total shutdown devices: circuit breakers, switch ON/OFF, etc.
PS: The total disconnect device incorporated in the xed wiring to ensure the shutdown of all
drivers of electric network, except the Ground.
Remote Control
The PPA remote control is made of special and resi󰏭ant material. When it is not
responding to commands and the LED signal with reduced intensity or, depending on
the model, the LED changes to red, you may need to replace the battery.
When placing the new battery, observe polarity (+ and -) indicated on the
transmitter base.
Remote control function:
Depending on the model, PPA remote controls have two or three buttons. Thus, a single
control may open two or three dierent gates.

Automatic Drive - Keep away from
the trigger area since it can move
up unexpectedly.
WARNING
Risk of crushing - verify the gate operator regularly and, if needed, adjust it
to insure that when the gate hits any object with 40mm (height) in the floor,
the gate will revert or the object could be released.
CAUTION

Step 1. Fix the key in the hole, with
the tongue upwards.
Step 2: Turn the key down in 18, so
that is facing downward.

PS: To make the coding of the remote control, call a technician.
Operation
To trigger you operator, press for 1 second, the PPA button of the remote control that comes
with the machine.
If the remote control is triggered while the gate is opening, the operator will 󰏭op and will
remain that way until the remote control is triggered again.
When this happens, the gate will be closed.
If the remote control is triggered while the gate is closing, for safety reasons the gate will
󰏭op and automatically open.
Command board
The electronic board allows the in󰏭allation of other accessories that add functions to the
operator and give more comfort and safety to the user:
PHOTOCELL:Prevents a person or vehicle are taken by surprise at the gate of the route.
To detect something (ob󰏭ruction) in the sensor passage line, the photocell (active infrared
sensor) prevents closing or 󰏭ops the closing movement automatically opening the gate, thus
avoiding collision with people, objects and cars.
GARAGE LIGHT: Turns the light from the garage where the gate operator is in󰏭alled, so
that it is triggered for the opening, allowing check for any individual near the residence.
The light goes o only after the complete closure of the gate with adju󰏭able time delay
(this accessory not included).
FLASING LIGHTS: Alert the pede󰏭rian exit or entry of vehicles at a particular location.
The indicator comes into operation when the gate is triggered to open and o so that it is
fully closed and o (this accessory not included).

Unlock Sy󰎣em
In case of power failure, the machine has an unlocking sy󰏭em to open and close the gate
manually. For this, check below the model of your operator:
PIVO CONDOMINIUM BLDC OPERATOR
1) To operate the gate in manual mode, the key tting in the hole with the unlocking tongue
facing upwards;
2) Turn the key, moving it down in 180 °, so that the tab is facing downward;
3) To operate again in automatic mode, turn the key in the opposite direction, back it up.
