IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read all instruconsbefore operang the appliance and keep them for future reference
This appliance is only used for heang and boiling drinking water and tea only. Under no circumstances
should this appliance be used to heat or boil any other liquids or foodstuffs.
Do not place the appliance near the edge of a bench or table during operaon. Ensure that the surface is
level, clean and free of water.
Keep the appliance clear of walls, curtains and other heat or steam sensive materials.
Always ensure the appliance is properly assembled before plugging in the mains socket and operang.
Aach the jug lid securely to the glass jug before operaon.
Do not place anything on top of the lid.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handle for liing and carrying the glass jug.
Do not open the jug lid during operaon as scalding may occur.
Extreme cauon must be used when moving the glass jug containing hot liquid.
Never fill the glass jug beyond the maximum level indicaon.
Do not operate the appliance without water. Always fill the glass jug to at least the minimum level
indicaon.
Do not remove the glass jug from the power base during operaon.
Always turn offand unplug the appliance from the mains socket when not in use and before cleaning.
Do not leave the appliance unaended.
Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
The use of accessory aachments not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electrical
shock or injury.
Do not use outdoors.
Be careful when opening the lid immediately aer the water has boiled, the steam coming out of the
kele is very hot constung a risk of scalding.
Make sure the boom of the glass jug and the power base are dry before placing the jug onto the power
base.
•Allow the appliance to cool down in between brewing cycles.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
In order to remove any dust or protecve residues from the manufacturing process, it is recommended to
run a boiling cycle and then discard the water.
1. Wash the tea basket and tea basket lid in soapy water with a sosponge, rinse and dry thoroughly.
NEVER IMMERSE THE BASE OF THE GLASS JUG, THE POWER BASE, POWER CORD OR POWER PLUG
IN WATER OR ALLOW MOISTURE TO COME IN CONTACT WITH THESE PARTS.
2. Place the power base on a flat, dry surface.
3. Fill the glass jug with water to the water maximum mark (1.7L WATER MAX) and place on the power
base. Fit the jug lid onto the glass jug.
4. Plug the power base into the mains socket.
•The appliance will beep twice and all lights around the buons will briefly illuminate then go out.
5. Press the 100°C buon and then press to start the cycle.
•The light around the 100°C buon will flash and the light around the buon will illuminate.
6. Once the water reaches 100°C, the appliance will beep twice (repeat 3 mes) and the light around 100°C
buon will stop flashing and the light around the buon will go out.
7. Discard the water. The appliance is now ready to use.
BREWING TEA
1. Remove the glass jug from the power base and remove jug lid. Fill with desired amount of water.
2. Remove the tea basket from the pull rod of the tea basket lid by turning it
anclockwise.
3. Fill the basket with tea leaves.
4. Aach the tea basket back to the tea basket lid by turning it clockwise unl it locks
in place.
5. Fit the tea basket lid onto the jug and place the glass jug onto the power base.
6. Press a brewing temperature buon. The light around the selected buon will
illuminate.

soakingtimefortheoptimumconcentrationtea.

BOILINGORHEATINGWATER
Theappliancecanbeusedforboilingorheatingwatertoadesiredtemperature.

NOTE:Ifyouhaveusedtheapplianceforbrewingtea,itisrecommendedthoroughlycleaningtheinterior
ofthejugbeforeboilingorheatingwater.

1. Filltheglassjugwiththedesiredamountofwater.Donotfilloverthewatermaximummark(1.7L
WATERMAX).
2. Toboilwater,pressthe100°Cbutton.
Toheatwatertoadesiredtemperature,pressthe70°C,80°Cor90°Cbutton.
3. Presstostartthecycle.
•Thelightaroundtheselectedtemperaturebuttonwillflashandthelightaroundthebutton
willilluminate.

NOTE:Iftheglassjugisremovedfromthepowerbaseduringtheheatingorboilingcycle,thecyclewill

KEEPWARM
Thisfunctionallowsthebrewedteaorheatedwatertoremainwarmfor2hours.

Toactivatethisfunction:
1. Pressbeforeorduringtheteabrewingorwaterheatingcycle.
•Thelightaroundthisbuttonwillilluminate,indicatingthekeepwarmfunctionhasbeenselected.
•Thisfunctionisonlyavailablewhenselectingthetemperature70°C,80°Cor90°Ctobrewteaor
heatwater.

2. Oncetheteabrewingorwaterheatingcycleisfinished,thelightaroundthebuttonwillremain
illuminated,indicatingthekeepwarmcycleisactivefor2hourswhiletheglassjugremainsonthe
powerbase.

NOTE:Theglassjugcanberemovedfromthepowerbasebutpleasenoteifthepowerbasecannot
detecttheglassjugwithin1minute,theheatingorboilingcycleandthekeepwarmfunctionwillbe
cancelled.

Tocancelthisfunction,pressagain.Thelightaroundthisbuttonwillgoout.

FAULTDESCRIPTION
•Incasethattemperaturesensorhasfailed,alllightswillflash.Unplugtheappliancefromthemains
socketandthenpluginagain.
•Incaseofdryburning,alllightswillflashandthealarmwillsound.Unplugtheappliancefromthemains
socketandfillthejugwithcoldwaterforcoolingdown.




•Pull the jug lid out of the glass jug.
•Li the tea basket lid out of the glass jug. Disassemble the tea
basket from the pull rod of the tea basket lid.
•Clean the jug lid, tea basket lid and tea basket in the soapy
water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
•Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaning agent.
•Wipe the interior of the power base and glass jug with a so
damp cloth.
Descaling
Descale the glass jug regularly.
1. Add about 100ml white vinegar to the glass jug and then fill
the jug with water up to the water maximum mark. Boil the

ATTENTION:

Ne placez pas l’appareil près du bord d’une table ou d’un plan de cuisine pendant qu’il fonc e. La
surface doit être plane, propre et sèche.
Cet appareil ne doit pas être mis au contact des murs, des rideaux et de tout matériau sensible à la

Vérifiez toujours que l'appareil est installé correctement avant de le brancher et de l'u liser.
Fixez le couvercle à la carafe avant de l'u liser.

•Lalumièreautourduboutons'allume,indiquantquelafonctiondemaintienauchaudestactivée.
•Cettefonctionn'estdisponiblequesil'undesboutonsdetempérature70°C,80°Cou90°Caété
sélectionnépourchaufferdel'eauoufaireduthé.

2. Lorsquel’appareilafinidepréparerlethéoudechaufferl'eau,lalumièreautourdubouton reste
allumée,indiquantquelafonctiondemaintienauchaudestactivéepouruneduréede2heurestant
quelacaraferestesurlesocle.

REMARQUE:Vouspouvezenleverlacarafedusocle,maisveuilleznoterquesilesoclenedétectepas
lacarafependant1minute,lafonctionencours(chauffage,ébullitionoumaintienauchaud)est
annulée.

Pourannulercettefonction,appuyezdenouveausur.Lalumièreautourduboutons'éteint.



•Sicecapteurdetempératureestdéfectueux,toutesleslumièresclignotent.Débranchezl'appareil,puis
rebranchez‐le.
•Sil'appareilchauffeàsec,toutesleslumièresclignotentetl'alarmeretentit.Débranchezl'appareil
remplissezlacarafeavecdel'eaufroidepourlarefroidir.



NETTOYAGEETDÉTARTRAGE
Veillezàéteindrel'appareilenappuyantsur.Lalumière
autourduboutons'éteint.
Attendezquetouteslespiècesdel'appareilaientrefroidi
complètementavantdeledémonteretdelenettoyer.

NEMETTEZENAUCUNCASLESOCLE,LACARAFE,LECÂBLEOU
LAPRISEMÂLEDANSL'EAUETVEILLEZÀNEPASLESMETTREEN
CONTACTAVECL'HUMIDITÉ.

•Sortez le couvercle de la carafe.
•Sortez le couvercle du panier à thé de la carafe. Démontez le
panier à thé de la ge du couvercle.
•Lavez le couvercle de la carafe, le panier à thé et le couvercle
du panier à thé dans de l'eau savonneuse, puis rincez-les et
séchez-les bien.
•N'u lisez pas des produits de ne oyage chimiques ou abrasifs.
•Pour ne oyer l'intérieur du socle et la carafe, fro ez-les avec
un chiffon légèrement imbibé d'eau.
Détartrage
La carafe doit être détartrée régulièrement.
1. Pour cela, versez environ 100 ml de vinaigre blanc dans la
carafe puis rajoutez de l'eau jusqu'au trait de niveau maximum
pour l'eau. Portez le mélange à
2. Laissez agir pendant une nuit, puis jetez le mélange.
3. Remplissez la carafe avec de l'eau propre, faites bouillir, puis
jetez l'eau. Répétez si nécessaire.
4.Séchez bien l'appareil avec un chiffon mou non pelucheux
