INSTRUCTION MANUAL
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The PROTON range of anchor devices conform to the EN 795:2012 standard
and the FprCEN/TS16415:2012. They are designed for connecting a personal
equipment against falls from a height to a fixed construction.
The PROTON1 (as well 2, 4, 5) consist of a pole of different height equipped
with rotating plate on it's top with three openings for conecting a personal
equipment. The PROTON3, on the pole top, is eqipped with flange and single
eye for connecting personal equipment. The PROTONs: 1; 2; 3; 5 are made of
hot deep galvanized steel. The PROTON4 is made of stainless steel.
Number of simultanous users: 3person for PROTON 1;2;4;5 and 1 person for
PROTON 3.
The PROTONS anchor devices may be installed by a people who have enough
knowledge and experience in this subject. The method of installation shoud
strictly follow the "PROTON installation manual" guidelines.
INSPECTIONS
Before each use a visual inspection should be carried out by the user to

ensure that the anchor point is in good condition.
When the anchor point was engaged in fall arresting than it should be

replaced with new one or submited under detailed inspection carried out
by qualified technician. The result of inspection and permission to further
usage shall be recorded in the Operational Sheet.
It is recomended that the device is periodically inspected every 12 month
3.
after installation. The periodic inspection must be carried out by a
qualified person. The result of inspection must be recorded in the
Operational Sheet.
During the inspections any mechanical, chemical or thermal defects

(cracks, deformation or corrosion) should be taken into account.
When the anchor point was engaged in fall arresting than it should be

USAGE
The PROTON anchor device is designed to
bear dynamic loads which appears during
fall arresting up to three persons at the
same time. (See fig on right) The PROTON
1 or 2 or 3 or 5 may be used both for
protection againnst falls fron a height and
for work in suspension. Any possible
deformation of the above PROTONs which
can appear during fall arresting are
unimportant for calculation of the required
free space under an user. The PROTON4
may reach defection up to 0.5 m during fall
arresting. The PROTON4 is not
recomended as an anchor point for: rope
acces work, work in suspension or rescue.

ESSENTIAL RULES OF APPLICATION
This manual must be read before installation of the anchor point and before

The PROTON range of anchor devices can be applied for attaching PPE

normal use or emergency procedures.
Rules of attaching the fall protection system must conform to EN363

standard and standards of applied equipment (e.g. EN354/355 - safety
lanyards and energy abbsorbers, EN353-2 - guidet type fall arresters, EN360
- retractable fall arresters, EN358 - work positioning systems).
Before each use, the free space required beneath the user at the workplace

should be verified, so that, in the case of a fall, there will be no collision with
the ground or the other obstacle in the fall path.
The anchor point shall be used exclusively in accordance with its purpose.

Any speciall applications must be agreed with producer or authorised
representatives. Suspending any loads to the device is forbidden.
It is forbidden to use the anchor device on which any damage appears

(significant corrosion, cracks or deformations).
It is forbidden to make any alteration or additions to the device without the
9.
manufacturer's prior written consent.
It is forbidden to use an anchor device which serve to fall arresting without
10.
detailed inspection and written permision recorded into Operational Sheet.
If the product is re-sold outside the original country of destination this
11.
instruction should be provided in the language of the country in which the
product is to be used.
INSTALLATION
This PROTON anchor device must be installed excusively by qualified person who
have enough konwledge and experience in this subject. In particular such a person
shoul know the EN795 standard, the bolts or anchors manufacturer's guidelines
concerning assemblies and this manual. The assembled anhor point should be
checked (approved) by a person authorised to check (e.g. engineer or qualified
designer).
The person who assembles the anchor point takes full responsibility for the
assembly. Neither the manufacturer nor the distributor are responsible for an
assembly that is careless and incompliant with the guidelines. On request, the
manufacturer and/or distributor deliver all the necessary technical information
concerning the product, the technology of its assembly, the way of checking it and
the product's declaration conformity to the standards.
As far as possible, the anchor point should be located above the user, in order to
limit the fall distance.The environmental conditions existent in place of installation,
having an effect on corrosion of the anchor point and/or attachments, shoul be taken
into account.
