onthesidewithathickwhiteline(Pin1→),referringtothemotherboard’s
silkscreen.Jumperswiththree pinswill beshownastorepresentpin1&pin2
connectedandtorepresentpin2&pin3connected.
ClearCMOS(JCC)
Ifyou wanttoclearCMOS,unplug theACpowersupplyfirst, closeJCC(pin1&pin2)once,
setJCCbacktothenormalstatuswithpin2&pin3connected,thenpoweronthesystem.
Enablekeyboardpasswordpower-onfunction (JP2)
Themotherboardprovidestheadvancedkeyboardpasswordpower-on function.When
wanting tousethisfunction,setJP2withpin1&pin2 closed.Otherwise,setJP2with
pin2&pin3shortenedfordisablingthisfunction.

forthepasswordeverytimethesystembootsoranytimeyoutrytoenterBIOSSetup.Ifthe
“PasswordSetting”issetasSetup,you willbe promptedforthepasswordonlywhen
entering BIOSSetup.
SecurityEasy
TheP6I440BX/B1SprovidesadditionalSecurityEasyfunctiontoprotectthesystemfrom
unauthorized entryoruse.Therearetwoways toenterthelock status.
Pushoncethebuttonconnectedtothetwo-pinheaderSLEEPafterenabling thelock

enterSecurityEasypasswordusingthekeyboard.Thismeansifyousetthelockfunction
asenabled,youmustalsosettheSecurityEasypassword.
