FITTING INSTRUCTIONS - APPLY TO BOTH SIDES OF BIKE
• Before fitting the R&G crash protectors, it is advised that a jack is positioned underneath
the bike at a suitable point to support the weight of the engine during fitment. A small
piece of wood should also be placed between the jack and the mounting point to help to
spread the load.
• Do not remove more than one engine bolt at any time during the fitting to prevent the
engine moving.
• Using a wrench fitted with a 14mm socket, remove the original front engine bolt, as shown in
picture 1.
• Wind one of the threaded engine bars (item 2) into the vacant mounting point and tighten using a
10mm spanner across the bar’s flat notches.
• Referring to the diagram on page 2 and picture 2, slide one of the spacers (item 3) over the
engine bar so the narrower end sits within the recess of the engine mounting point.
• Follow this by also sliding a crash protector (item 1) over the engine bar, so the rear face sits
against the base of the spacer.
• Slide a shake-proof washer (item 7) over the exposed end of the engine bar so it sits against the
inside face of the crash protector, followed by a plain washer (item 6). Now, wind one of the nyloc
nuts (item 4) onto the threaded end.
• Finally, tighten the crash protector nut using a 19mm socket and wrench until you feel some
compression from inside the protector, as shown in picture 3. Turn a little more so that you feel
the compression increase slightly, then apply a quarter turn. Tighten to 40Nm of torque (do not
exceed this figure, as damage can occur to the motorcycle and the bolt).
• PLEASE NOTE, THE CRASH PROTECTOR MUST BE POSITIONED AS IN THE CRASH
PROTECTOR ORIENTATION DIAGRAM ON PAGE 3, WITH THE LARGER END TOWARDS THE
FRONT OF THE BIKE.
• Repeat steps for the opposite side of the bike, then fit a bobbin cap (item 5) into the recess of
each crash protector, as shown in picture 4.
• Before riding, check both sides are secure, and the crash protectors cannot rotate.
• Check tightness of each side regularly.

than those in R&G’s order or confirmation and the Buyer confirms it has chosen the Products as being of merchantable quality
and suitable for its particular purposes. Where R&G fits the Products or undertakes other services it shall exercise reasonable skill
and care and rectify any fault free of charge unless the workmanship has been disturbed. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring
that the warranty on the motorcycle is not affected by the fitting of the Products. On return of any defective Products R&G shall
at its option either supply a replacement or refund the purchase money but shall not be liable if the Products have been modified
or used or maintained otherwise than in accordance with R&G’s or manufacturer’s instructions and good engineering practice or if
the defect arises from accident or neglect. Other than identified above and subject to R&G not limiting its liability for causing
death and personal injury, it shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss and otherwise its liability shall be limited to the
amounts paid by the Buyer for the Products or the fitting or service concerned. These terms do not affect the Buyer’s statutory
rights.
R&G RETURNS POLICY (NON-FAULTY GOODS)
Returns must be pre-authorised (if not pre-authorised the return will be rejected). Goods may only be returned direct to us if
they were purchased direct from us (customer must prove if necessary). Otherwise to be returned to original vendor. Goods
must be in re-sellable condition, in the opinion of R&G. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee (25% of the

NOTICE DE MONTAGE - S’APPLIQUE DES 2 COTES DE LA MOTO
• Avant d'installer les protections R&G, il est conseillé de placer un cric sous la moto à un endroit
approprié pour supporter le poids du moteur pendant le montage. Un petit morceau de bois doit
également être placé entre le cric et le point de montage pour aider à répartir la charge.
• Ne retirez pas plus d'un boulon du moteur à tout moment pendant le montage pour empêcher le
moteur de tourner.
• À l'aide d'une clé munie d'une douille de 14 mm, retirez le boulon d'origine du moteur avant,
comme indiqué sur la photo 1.
• Enroulez un des axes moteur filetées (article 2) dans le point de montage vacant et serrez à l'aide
d'une clé plate de 10 mm sur les encoches plates de l’axe.
• En vous référant au schéma de la page 2 et à la photo 2, faites glisser l'une des entretoises (article
3) sur l’axe moteur de sorte que l'extrémité la plus étroite se trouve dans l'évidement du point de
montage du moteur.
• Suivez ensuite ceci en glissant également une protection crash (article 1) sur l’axe moteur, de
sorte que la face arrière repose contre la base de l’entretoise.
• Faites glisser une rondelle anti vibration (article 7) sur l'extrémité exposée de l’axe moteur afin
qu'elle repose contre la face interne du dispositif de protection, suivie d'une rondelle lisse (article
6). Maintenant, enroulez un des écrous en nyloc (article 4) sur l'extrémité filetée.
• Enfin, serrez l’écrou de la protection crash à l’aide d’une clé à douille et d’une douille de 19 mm
jusqu’à sentir une légère compression de l’intérieur de la protection, comme indiqué sur la photo
3. Tournez un peu plus pour que la compression augmente légèrement, puis appliquez un quart de
tour. Serrez à 40 Nm de couple (ne dépassez pas cette valeur, cela pourrait endommager la moto
et le boulon).
• VEUILLEZ NOTER QUE LA PROTECTION CRASH DOIT ÊTRE POSITIONNÉ COMME DANS LE
SCHEMAD’ORIENTATION DE LA PROTECTION, VOIR PAGE 3, AVEC L’EXTRÉMITÉ
SUPÉRIEURE VERS L'AVANT DE LA MOTO.
• Répétez les étapes du côté opposé de la moto, puis insérez un capuchon de la protection (article
5) dans le renfoncement de chaque protection crash, comme indiqué sur la photo 4
• Before riding, check both sides are secure, and the crash protectors cannot rotate.
Avant de prendre la route, vérifiez que les deux côtés soient bien fixés et que les protections ne
puissant pas pibocrashde collision ne peuvent pas pivoter.
• Vérifier le serrage de chaque coté régulièrement.

MONTAGENANLEITUNG - FÜR MONTAGE AN BEIDEN SEITEN DES MOTORRAD
• Bevor Sie die R&G Sturzpads montieren, empfehlen wir, einen Scherenheber an einem
geeigneten Montagepunkt unter das Motorrad zu stellen, um somit das Gewicht des Motors
während der Montage zu stützen. Ein kleines Stück Holz sollte zwischen Montagepunkt
und Heber platziert werden, um die Last zu verteilen
• Entfernen Sie nicht mehr als eine Motorschraube gleichzeitig während der Montage, um zu
verhindern, dass der Motor sich bewegt.
• Entfernen Sie die Montageschraube für den Motor mit einem 14mm Steckschüssel wie in Abbildung
1 abgebildet.
• Eine Verbindungsstange mit Gewinde (Artikel 2) in einen freien Befestigungspunkt einsetzen und
mit einem 10mm Schraubenschlüssel befestigen.
• Wie in der Zeichnung auf Seite 2 und in Abbildung 2 abgebildet, schieben Sie einen Distanzhalter
(Artikel 3) über die Verbindungsstange, sodass das schmalere Ende in die Vertiefung des
Befestigungspunkts für den Motor passt.
• Schieben Sie danach ein Sturzpad (Artikel 1) über die Verbindungsstange, sodass die Rückseite an
der Basis des Distanzhalters sitzt.
• Eine Zahnscheibe (Artikel 7),gefolgt von einer Unterlegscheibe (Artikel 6) über das
hervorstehende Ende der Verbindungsstange, sodass sie an der Innenseite des Sturzpads sitzen.
Danach eine selbstsichernde Mutter (Artikel 4) am Gewindeende anschrauben.
• Anschließend die Mutter für das Sturzpad mit einem 19mm Steckschlüssel festziehen, bis Sie etwas
Druck vom Inneren des Sturzpads spüren wie in Abbildung 3 abgebildet. Noch etwas drehen, bis
Sie merken, dass der Druck sich leicht erhöht, dann noch eine Vierteldrehung anwenden. Bis 40 Nm
anziehen. Nicht überdrehen –dies kann zu einer Beschädigung des Motorrades und der Schraube
führen. 40 Nm Anzugsmoment nicht überschreiten!
• HINWEIS: DAS STURZPAD MUSS POSITIONIERT SEIN WIE IN DER ZEICHNUNG AUF SEITE
3 ABGEBILDET –DAS GRÖSSERE ENDE DES STURZPADS ZUM VORDERTEIL DES
MOTORRADS GERICHTET.
• Wiederholen Sie die Schritte an der anderen Seite des Motorrades und montieren Sie jeweils eine
Sturzpad-Schutzkappe (Artikel 5) in der jeweiligen Vertiefung der Sturzpads—siehe Abbildung 4.
• Überprüfen Sie, dass beide Seiten sicher befestigt sind und stellen Sie sicher, dass die Sturzpads sich
nicht drehen können, bevor Sie mit dem Motorrad fahren.
• Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig die Festigkeit der Schrauben an beiden Seiten.
