FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
Left Hand Side (as you sit on the bike)
• Before fitting the R&G crash protectors, it is advised that a jack is positioned underneath
the bike at a suitable point to support the weight of the engine during fitment. A small
piece of wood should also be placed between the jack and the mounting point to help to
spread the load.
• Starting on the left side of the bike, remove the front engine mounting plate arrowed in picture 1
using a 30 and 55 torx removing the 3 bolts as shown in picture 1. The larger bolt has a 17mm
nut on the back that must be locked using a spanner or similar tool. Mount the left plate using the
OEM bolts that were removed along with the supplied washers and tighten making sure that the
cable holding bracket is fixed at the top of the plate as it was on the OEM plate.
• With the plate installed, assemble the left-hand side crash protector as shown in Assembly
Diagram 1 by sliding one M10 washer and then a Shake Proof Washer over the bolt.
• Mount to the plate making sure the bobbin tightened to the recommended torque.
• PLEASE NOTE, THE CRASH PROTECTOR MUST BE POSITIONED AS IN THE CRASH
PROTECTOR ORIENTATION DIAGRAM ON PAGE 2, WITH THE LARGER END TOWARDS THE
FRONT OF THE BIKE.
• Tighten the bolt using a 17mm socket and torque wrench to the recommended torque.
Right Hand Side (as you sit on the bike)
• Repeat the same process as done for the left side of the bike. The right side does not have a
bracket for the cable this side
• Before riding, check both sides are secure.
• Check tightness of each side regularly.

The catalogue description and any exhibition of samples are only broad indications of the Products and R&G may make design
changes which do not diminish their performance or visual appeal and supplying them in such state shall conform to the order.
The Buyer acknowledges no representation or warranty (other than as to title) has been given or will apply to the Products other
than those in R&G’s order or confirmation and the Buyer confirms it has chosen the Products as being of merchantable quality
and suitable for its particular purposes. Where R&G fits the Products or undertakes other services it shall exercise reasonable skill
and care and rectify any fault free of charge unless the workmanship has been disturbed. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring
that the warranty on the motorcycle is not affected by the fitting of the Products. On return of any defective Products R&G shall
at its option either supply a replacement or refund the purchase money but shall not be liable if the Products have been modified
or used or maintained otherwise than in accordance with R&G’s or manufacturer’s instructions and good engineering practice or if
the defect arises from accident or neglect. Other than identified above and subject to R&G not limiting its liability for causing
death and personal injury, it shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss and otherwise its liability shall be limited to the
amounts paid by the Buyer for the Products or the fitting or service concerned. These terms do not affect the Buyer’s statutory
rights.
R&G RETURNS POLICY (NON-FAULTY GOODS)
Returns must be pre-authorised (if not pre-authorised the return will be rejected). Goods may only be returned direct to us if
they were purchased direct from us (customer must prove if necessary). Otherwise to be returned to original vendor. Goods
must be in re-sellable condition, in the opinion of R&G. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee (25% of the
gross value exc. P&P –at the prevailing price at time of purchase). The customer must pay any and all carriage charges. No
returns of discontinued products, unless within 14 days of purchase. This policy does not affect your statutory rights and does not
refer to faulty goods.

NOTICE DE MONTAGE
Côté gauche (lorsqu’on est assis sur la moto)
• Avant d'installer les protections R&G, il est conseillé de placer un cric sous la moto à un endroit
approprié pour supporter le poids du moteur pendant le montage. Un petit morceau de bois doit
également être placé entre le cric et le point de montage pour aider à répartir la charge.
• En commençant du côté gauche de la moto, retirez la plaque de fixation du moteur avant fléchée
sur la photo 1 à l'aide d'une clé Torx 30 et 55 en retirant les 3 boulons comme indiqué sur la photo
1. Le plus grand boulon possède un écrou de 17 mm à l'arrière qui doit être verrouillé à l'aide
d’une clé ou un outil similaire. Montez la plaque de gauche en utilisant les boulons d’origine qui ont
été retirés ainsi que les rondelles fournies et serrez-les en veillant à ce que le support tenant le
câble soit fixé sur le haut de la plaque, comme il l’était sur la plaque d’origine.
• Une fois la plaque installée, assemblez la protection du côté gauche, comme indiqué sur le schéma
d’assemblage 1, en faisant glisser une rondelle M10, puis une rondelle anti vibration sur le boulon.
• Montez sur la plaque en vous assurant que la bobine soit serrée aux valeurs de serrage
recommandés.
• VEUILLEZ NOTER QUE LA PROTECTION CRASH DOIT ÊTRE POSITIONNÉE COMME SUR LE SCHEMA
DE LA PAGE 2, AVEC L’EXTRÉMITÉ SUPÉRIEURE VERS L'AVANT DE LA MOTO.
• Serrer le boulon avec une clé à douille de 17mm et une clé dynamométrique au couple
recommandé.
Côté droit (lorsqu’on est assis sur la moto)
• Répétez le même processus que pour le côté gauche de la moto. Le côté droit n'a pas de support
de câble.
• Avant de conduire, vérifiez que les deux côtés soient bien fixés.
• Vérifiez le serrage régulièrement.

Linke Seite (in Fahrtrichtung)
• Bevor Sie die R&G Sturzpads montieren, empfehlen wir, einen Scherenheber an einem
geeigneten Montagepunkt unter das Motorrad zu stellen, um somit das Gewicht des
Motors während der Montage zu stützen. Ein kleines Stück Holz sollte zusätzlich
zwischen Montagepunkt und Heber platziert werden, um die Last zu verteilen.
• Beginnen Sie an der linken Seite des Motorrades. Entfernen Sie die vordere Montageplatte für den
Motor, die in Abbildung 1 gekennzeichnet ist, indem Sie die 3 Schrauben mit einem 30- and 55-
Torxschlüssel entfernen wie in Abbildung 1 abgebildet. Die größere Schraube hat eine 17mm
Mutter an der Rückseite, die mit einem Schraubenschlüssel o.Ä. gesichert werden muss.
Montieren Sie die linke Platte mit den zuvor entfernten Originalschrauben und Unterlegscheiben
vom Kit. Befestigen Sie alles und stellen Sie sicher, dass die Halterung für das Kabel oben an der
Platte fixiert ist, wie zuvor an der original Platte.
• Nachdem die Platte montiert ist, das Sturzpad für die linke Seite zusammenbauen wie in
Zeichnung Zusammenbau 1 abgebildet. Eine M10 Unterlegscheibe gefolgt von einer
Zahnscheibe an der Schrauben anbringen.
• Montieren Sie die Platte und stellen Sie sicher, dass das Sturzpad mit dem empfohlenen
Anzugsdrehmoment festgezogen wird.
• HINWEIS: DAS STURZPAD MUSS POSITIONIERT SEIN WIE IN DER ZEICHNUNG AUF
SEITE 2 ABGEBILDET –DAS GRÖSSERE ENDE DES STURZPADS ZUM VORDERTEIL DES
MOTORRADS GERICHTET.
• Benutzen Sie einen 17mm Steckschlüssel und einen Drehmomentschlüssel, um die Schraube mit
dem empfohlenen Anzugsdrehmoment zu befestigen.
Rechte Seite (in Fahrtrichtung)
• Wiederholen Sie die bereits an der linken Seite ausgeführten Schritte nun an der rechten Seite. An
der rechten Seite ist jedoch keine Halterung für das Kabel.
• Überprüfen Sie, dass beide Seiten sicher befestigt sind und die Sturzpads sich nicht drehen
können, bevor Sie mit dem Motorrad fahren.
• Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig, dass die Sturzpads ordnungsgemäß befestigt sind.
