FITTING INSTRUCTIONS FOR FI0083 FRAME INSERT
DUCATI MONSTER 1200 2014- FRAME INSERT KIT
THIS KIT CONTAINS THE ITEMS PICTURED AND LABELLED BELOW.
DO NOT PROCEED UNTIL YOU ARE SURE ALL PARTS ARE PRESENT.
Please note that the way the kit is packed does not necessarily represent the way of
mounting to the bike

Please note that in cases where kits are packed with rubber washers holding the components onto the bolt –
the rubber washers should be thrown away!
TOOLS REQUIRED
3 & 4mm Metric Allen key.
Soft Mallet.
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
FI0083 –pictured as A
Fit one of the M6 x 25mm long countersunk bolts into each of the aluminium frame inserts
(FI0083) so head sits in counter-bore with one of the larger tapered nuts on the exposed end of the
thread.
Tighten the bolt in the expanding frame insert until the tapered nut starts to grip the inside of the
expander.
Position the frame insert into the rear subframe mounting boss as shown above and hold in place
whilst tightening the bolt, ensuring the R&G logos are upright. The back of the frame insert will
expand and hold the frame insert securely in place.
Repeat this process to fit the frame insert to the opposite side of the bike.

Take one of the larger plastic expanding frame inserts and fit one M5 x 20mm long button head
bolt into the recess, with one of the smaller tapered nuts on the exposed end of the thread.
Tighten the bolt with the frame insert off the bike until it just starts to compress and expand, and
fit into the rear frame boss (marked “B”), ensuring it is a fairly tight fit.
A gentle tap with a soft mallet will help to locate the frame insert and once in place a further
quarter turn on the bolt will hold the frame insert securely in place.
Fit one of the plastic caps into the recess of the frame inserts so it sits flush with the top surface
and conceals the bolt.
Repeat this process to fit the frame insert to the opposite side of the bike.
To remove the frame inserts, use a thin screwdriver or steel rule to pop the cap off and remove the
M5 bolt. Then screw in a M6 bolt into the central hole and pull the insert out.
Please note –there are three of the larger plastic expanding frame inserts. One fits on the right
and two fit on the left, in position B & C.

Take the smaller plastic expanding frame inserts and fit one M5 x 12mm long button head bolt
into the recess, with one of the smaller tapered nuts on the exposed end of the thread.
Tighten the bolt with the frame insert off the bike until it just starts to compress and expand, and
fit into the front frame boss on the right side of the bike only (marked “C”), ensuring it is a fairly
tight fit.
A gentle tap with a soft mallet will help to locate the frame insert and once in place a further
quarter turn on the bolt will hold the frame insert securely in place.
Fit one of the plastic caps into the recess of the frame inserts so it sits flush with the top surface
and conceals the bolt.
To remove the frame inserts, use a thin screwdriver or steel rule to pop the cap off and remove the
M5 bolt. Then screw in a M6 bolt into the central hole and pull the insert out.
Regularly check to ensure frame inserts remains tight.

neglect. Other than identified above and subject to R&G not limiting its liability for causing death and personal injury, it shall not be
liable for indirect or consequential loss and otherwise its liability shall be limited to the amounts paid by the Buyer for the Products or
the fitting or service concerned. These terms do not affect the Buyer’s statutory rights.

Returns must be pre-authorised (if not pre-authorised the return will be rejected). Goods may only be returned direct to us if they were
purchased direct from us (customer must prove if necessary). Otherwise to be returned to original vendor. Goods must be in re-
sellable condition, in the opinion of R&G Racing. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee (25% of the gross value
exc. P&P –at the prevailing price at time of purchase). The customer must pay any and all carriage charges. No returns of
discontinued products, unless within 14 days of purchase. This policy does not affect your statutory rights and does not refer to faulty
goods.

LA FAÇON DONT LE KIT EST EMBALLE NE CORRESPOND PAS FORCEMENT A LA FAÇON DE
MONTER LES PIECES SUR LA MOTO.
LES PARTIES PRESENTEES PEUVENT ETRE UNIQUEMENT REPRESENTATIVES (POUR LA
CLARTE DES INSTRUCTIONS UNIQUEMENT)
Notez que si les kits sont emballés avec des rondelles en caoutchouc servant à tenir les
composants, ces rondelles doivent être jetées.
Outils requis :
Clés Allen 3 & 4mm.
Maillet.
Instructions des montage :
FI0083 –(photo A)
Passer un des boulons M6 x 25mm dans chaque insert de cadre en aluminium (FI0083)
pour que la tête se place dans le contre alésage avec un des écrous coniques sur
l’extrémité du filetage.
Serrer le boulon dans l’insert de cadre d’expansion jusqu’à ce que l’écrou conique
commence à saisir l’intérieur de l’expanseur.

Positionner l’insert de cadre dans le support de fixation sous cadre arrière comme
indiqué ci dessus et tenir en place tout en serrant le boulon, et en veillant à ce que les
logos R&G soit droits. Le bas de l’insert de cadre élargira et tiendra l’insert de cadre en
place.
Répéter le même processus pour installer l’insert de cadre du coté opposé de la moto.
FI0084 –(photo B)
Prendre un des inserts de cadre et passer un boulon M5 x 20mm dans le creux, avec un
des écrous coniques sur l’extrémité du filetage.
Serrer le boulon de l’insert de cadre jusqu’à ce qu’il commence à compresser et élargir,
et passez le dans le patron de cadre arrière (marqué “B”), en veillant à ce qu’il soit bien
serré.
Un petit tapotement avec un maillet vous aidera à placer l’insert de cadre. Une fois en
place, appliquez un quart de tour sur le boulon, ce qui fixera correctement l’insert de
cadre en place.
Insérer un des capuchons plastic dans le creux des inserts de cadre pour qu’il se place il
se trouve au ras de la surface supérieure et cache le boulon.
Répéter le même processus pour installer l’insert de cadre du coté opposé de la moto.
Pour enlever les inserts de cadre, utiliser un tournevis cruciforme ou une règle en acier
pour soulever les bouchons et enlever le boulon M5. Ensuite, visser un boulon M6 dans le
trou central et extraire l’insert.
Note –Il y a 3 des inserts de cadre les plus larges. L’un se place du coté droit et les 2
autres du coté gauche (position B & C).

Prendre le plus petit insert plastic et insérez un boulon M5 x 12mm dans le creux, avec
un des plus petits écrous coniques sur l’extrémité du filetage.
Serrer le boulon de l’insert de cadre jusqu’à ce qu’il commence à compresser et élargir,
et passez le dans le patron de cadre avant du coté droit de la moto uniquement (marqué
“C”), en veillant à ce qu’il soit bien serré.
Un petit tapotement avec un maillet vous aidera à placer l’insert de cadre. Une fois en
place, appliquez un quart de tour sur le boulon, ce qui fixera correctement l’insert de
cadre en place.
Insérer un des capuchons plastic dans le creux des inserts de cadre pour qu’il se place il
se trouve au ras de la surface supérieure et cache le boulon
Pour enlever les inserts de cadre, utiliser un tournevis cruciforme ou une règle en acier
pour soulever les bouchons et enlever le boulon M5. Ensuite, visser un boulon M6 dans le
trou central et extraire l’insert.
Vérifier le serrage des inserts cadres régulièrement pour vérifier qu’ils soient bien serrés.

nicht für den Einbau benötigt!
SIE BENÖTIGEN FOLGENDES WERKZEUG:

MONTAGEANLEITUNG
FI0083 –mit “A” gekennzeichnet
Montieren Sie jeweils eine M6 x 25mm Senkkopfschraube in den Aluminium-Rahmendeckel-
Verschlußstopfen (FI0083). Der Kopf der Schraube liegt nun in der Senkung und eine der
größeren konischen Muttern ist am hervorstehenden Ende des Gewindes angebracht.
Ziehen Sie die Schraube im Rahmendeckel-Verschlußstopfen fest, bis die konische Mutter
beginnt, innen zu greifen.
Positionieren Sie den Rahmendeckel-Verschlußstopfen in der Lochplatte am hinteren Hilfsrahmen
wie oben abgebildet und halten Sie ihn fest während Sie die Schraube befestigen. Bitte darauf

achten, dass die R&G Logos gerade sind. Der hintere Teil des Rahmeneinsatzes wird sich
ausdehnen und den Rahmeneinsatz sicher in Position befestigen.
Diesen Vorgang auf der anderen Seite des Motorrades wiederholen.
FI0084 –mit “B” gekennzeichnet
Nehmen Sie einen der größeren Rahmenverschlußstopfen aus Kunststoff und montieren Sie eine
M5 x 20mm Inbusschraube in der Vertiefung, danach mit einer kleinen konischen Mutter am
hervorstehenden Ende des Gewindes versehen.
Noch nicht am Motorrad angebracht, die Schraube mit dem Rahmenverschlußstopfen vorsichtig
festschrauben, bis der anfängt zu verdichten und auszudehnen, dann im hinteren Rahmen
(Markierung „B“) montieren und befestigen.
Vorsichtig mit dem Schonhammer klopfen, um den Rahmenverschlußstopfen zu fixieren –sobald
in Position, die Schraube mit einer weiteren Vierteldrehung festziehen, um den Rahmen-
Verschlußstopfen sicher in Position zu befestigen.
Montieren Sie eine Kunststoffkappe an der Vertiefung des Rahmenverschlußstopfens. Die
Kunststoffkappe soll bündig mit der Oberfläche sein und die Schraube abdecken.
Diesen Vorgang auf der anderen Seite des Motorrades wiederholen.
Um den Rahmenverschlußstopfen zu entfernen, benutzen Sie einen schmalen Schraubenzieher
oder ein Stahlmaßband um die Kappe abzuhebeln und entfernen Sie die M5 Schraube. Dann eine
M6 Schraube in die mittlere Öffnung eindrehen und den Rahmeneinsatz herausziehen. .
Hinweis: Es sind drei größere Rahmenverschlußstopfen aus Kunststoff vorhanden. Einer wird auf
der rechten Seite montiert und zwei auf der linken Seite (Positionen B & C).
FI0085 –als “C” gekennzeichnet
Nehmen Sie den kleineren Rahmenverschlußstopfen aus Kunststoff und montieren Sie eine M5 x
12mm Inbusschraube in der Vertiefung, danach mit einer kleinen konischen Mutter am
hervorstehenden Ende des Gewindes versehen.
Noch nicht am Motorrad angebracht, die Schraube mit dem Rahmenverschlußstopfen vorsichtig
festschrauben, bis der anfängt zu verdichten und auszudehnen, dann im vorderen Rahmen nur auf
der rechten Seite des Motorrades (Markierung „C“) montieren und befestigen.
Vorsichtig mit dem Schonhammer klopfen, um den Rahmenverschlußstopfen zu fixieren –sobald
in Position, die Schraube mit einer weiteren Vierteldrehung festziehen, um den Rahmen-
Verschlußstopfen sicher in Position zu befestigen.
Montieren Sie eine Kunststoffkappe an der Vertiefung des Rahmenverschlußstopfens. Die
Kunststoffkappe soll bündig mit der Oberfläche sein und die Schraube abdecken.
Um die Rahmenverschlußstopfen zu entfernen, benutzen Sie einen schmalen Schraubenzieher oder
ein Stahlmaßband um die Kappe abzuhebeln und entfernen Sie die M5 Schraube. Dann eine M6
Schraube in die Mittlere Öffnung eindrehen und den Rahmeneinsatz herausziehen. .
Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig, dass die Rahmeneinsätze noch fest fixiert sind.
