FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
Left Hand Side (as you sit on the bike)
• Before fitting the R&G crash protectors, it is advised that a jack is positioned
underneath the bike at a suitable point to support the weight of the engine during
fitment as in picture 1. A small piece of wood should also be placed between the jack
and the mounting point to help to spread the load.
• Do not remove more than one engine bolt at any time during the fitting to prevent the
engine moving.
• Starting on the left hand side of the bike, remove the engine bolt arrowed in picture 2 using an
18mm socket and ratchet, making sure to remove the OEM spacer arrowed in picture 3.
• Assemble the left-hand side crash protector as shown in Assembly Diagram 1 on page 3 by
sliding one M12 washer (item 7) and Shake Proof Washer (item 8) over the longer M12 x 140mm
bolt (item 5).
• Next, slide one crash protector (item 1) over the thread of the bolt so the head of the bolt sits
into the recess of the crash protector.
• Slide the longer spacer over the exposed thread with the larger diameter sitting against the flat
surface of the crash protector.
• Insert the assembly in place of the original bolt and spacer assembly removed earlier as shown in
picture 4.
• PLEASE NOTE, THE CRASH PROTECTOR MUST BE POSITIONED AS IN THE CRASH
PROTECTOR ORIENTATION DIAGRAM ON PAGE 2, WITH THE LARGER END TOWARDS
THE FRONT OF THE BIKE.
• Tighten the bolt using a 19mm socket and torque wrench to the recommended torque before
proceeding to the opposite side.
Right Hand Side (as you sit on the bike)
• Repeat the same steps as above on the right hand side of the bike, referring to Assembly
Diagram 2 on page 3, ensuring to use the shorter M12 x 130mm bolt (item 6) and remaining
shorter spacer (item 4) during assembly.
• If not already fitted, fit bubble stickers into recess of both crash protector caps.
• Fit 1 x BC0002 Bobbin cap (item 2) into the recess of each crash protector as shown in picture 5.
• Before riding, check both sides are secure, and the crash protectors cannot rotate.
• Check tightness of each side regularly.

CONSUMER NOTICE
The catalogue description and any exhibition of samples are only broad indications of the Products and R&G may make design
changes which do not diminish their performance or visual appeal and supplying them in such state shall conform to the order.
The Buyer acknowledges no representation or warranty (other than as to title) has been given or will apply to the Products other
than those in R&G’s order or confirmation and the Buyer confirms it has chosen the Products as being of merchantable quality
and suitable for its particular purposes. Where R&G fits the Products or undertakes other services it shall exercise reasonable skill
and care and rectify any fault free of charge unless the workmanship has been disturbed. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring
that the warranty on the motorcycle is not affected by the fitting of the Products. On return of any defective Products R&G shall
at its option either supply a replacement or refund the purchase money but shall not be liable if the Products have been modified
or used or maintained otherwise than in accordance with R&G’s or manufacturer’s instructions and good engineering practice or if
the defect arises from accident or neglect. Other than identified above and subject to R&G not limiting its liability for causing
death and personal injury, it shall not be liable for indirect or consequential loss and otherwise its liability shall be limited to the
amounts paid by the Buyer for the Products or the fitting or service concerned. These terms do not affect the Buyer’s statutory
rights.
R&G RETURNS POLICY (NON-FAULTY GOODS)
Returns must be pre-authorised (if not pre-authorised the return will be rejected). Goods may only be returned direct to us if
they were purchased direct from us (customer must prove if necessary). Otherwise to be returned to original vendor. Goods
must be in re-sellable condition, in the opinion of R&G. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee (25% of the
gross value exc. P&P –at the prevailing price at time of purchase). The customer must pay any and all carriage charges. No
returns of discontinued products, unless within 14 days of purchase. This policy does not affect your statutory rights and does not
refer to faulty goods.

NOTICE DE MONTAGE
Côté gauche (lorsqu’on est assis sur la moto)
• Avant d'installer les protections R&G, il est conseillé de placer un cric sous la moto à un
endroit approprié pour supporter le poids du moteur pendant le montage, comme sur la
photo 1. Un petit morceau de bois doit également être placé entre le cric et le point de
montage pour aider à répartir la charge.
• Ne retirez pas plus d'un boulon du moteur à tout moment du montage pour empêcher le
moteur de tourner.
• En commençant du coté gauche de la moto, retirez le boulon moteur indiqué par la flèche sur la
photo 2 à l’aide d’une douille de 18 mm et d’un cliquet, en veillant à retirer l’entretoise d’origine
flechée sur la photo 3.
• Assemblez la protection coté gauche, comme indiqué sur le schéma de montage 1, à la page 3,
en faisant glisser une rondelle M12 (article 7) et une rondelle anti vibration (article 8) sur le
boulon M12 x 140 mm (article 5).
• Ensuite, faites glisser une des protections (article 1) sur le filetage du boulon afin que la tête du
boulon se place dans le renfoncement de la protection.
• Faites glisser l’entretoise la plus longue sur le filetage apparent, le plus grand diamètre reposant
contre la surface plane de la protection.
• Insérez l’ensemble à la place du boulon et de l’entretoise d’origine retirés précédemment, comme
indiqué sur la photo 4.
• VEUILLEZ NOTER QUE LA PROTECTION DOIT ÊTRE POSITIONNÉE COMME SUR LE
SCHEMA DE LA PAGE 2, AVEC L’EXTRÉMITÉ LARGE VERS L'AVANT DE LA MOTO.
• Serrer le boulon avec une clé à cliquet + douille de 19 mm et une clé dynamométrique au couple
de serrage recommandé, avant de procéder du côté opposé.
Côté droit (lorsqu’on est assis sur la moto)
• Répétez les mêmes opérations que ci-dessus du coté droit de la moto, en vous reportant au
schéma de montage 2 de la page 3, en veillant à utiliser le boulon le plus court M12 x 130mm
(article 6) et l’entretoise restante (article 4) pendant l’assemblage.
• Si cela n’est pas déjà fait, placez des stickers en caoutchouc dans les encoches des deux
capuchons de protection.
• Placez 1 capuchon de bobine BC0002 (article 2) dans le renfoncement de chaque protection
comme indiqué sur la photo 5.
• Avant de rouler, vérifiez que les deux côtés soient bien fixés et que les protections ne puissant
pas pivoter.
• Vérifiez le serrage de chaque côté régulièrement.

MONTAGEANLEITUNG
Linke Seite (in Fahrtrichtung)
• Bevor Sie die R&G Sturzpads montieren, empfehlen wir, einen Scherenheber an einem
geeigneten Montagepunkt unter das Motorrad zu stellen, um somit das Gewicht des
Motors während der Montage zu stützen (siehe Abbildung 1). Ein kleines Stück Holz
sollte zwischen Montagepunkt und Heber platziert werden, um die Last zu verteilen.
• Entfernen Sie nicht mehr als eine Motorschraube gleichzeitig während der Montage, um
zu verhindern, dass der Motor sich bewegt.
• Beginnen Sie an der linken Seite des Motorrades und entfernen Sie die Montageschraube für den
Motor, die in Abbildung 2 gekennzeichnet ist mit einem 18mm Steckschlüssel. Achten Sie
darauf, dass Sie den original Distanzhalter , der in Abbildung 3 mit einem Pfeil markiert ist, auch
entfernen.
• Das Sturzpad für die linke Seite zusammenbauen wie in Zusammenbau Zeichnung 1 auf Seite
3 abgebildet, indem Sie eine M12 Unterlegscheibe (Artikel 7) gefolgt von einer Zahnscheibe
Artikel 8) an der längeren M12 x 140mm Schraube (Artikel 5) anbringen.
• Danach ein Sturzpad (Artikel 1) über das Gewinde einer Schraube schieben, sodass der
Schraubenkopf in die Vertiefung des Sturzpads passt.
• Schieben Sie den längeren Distanzhalter über das hervorstehende Gewinde—der große
Durchmesser an der flachen Fläche des Sturzpads anliegend.
• Die Einheit anstelle der zuvor entfernten Originalschraube / Distanzhalter-Einheit einsetzen wie in
Abbildung 4 abgebildet.
• HINWEIS: DAS STURZPAD MUSS POSITIONIERT SEIN WIE IN DER ZEICHNUNG AUF
SEITE 2 ABGEBILDET –DAS GRÖSSERE ENDE DES STURZPADS ZUM VORDERTEIL DES
MOTORRADS GERICHTET
• Die Schraube mit einem 19mm Steckschlüssel und dem empfohlenen Drehmoment befestigen,
bevor Sie an der anderen Seite des Motorrades weitermachen.
Rechte Seite (in Fahrtrichtung)
• Wechseln Sie zur rechten Seite des Motorrades und wiederholen Sie die bisherigen Schritte, um
das Sturzpad mit der kürzeren M12 x 130mm Schraube (Artikel 6) und dem übrigen, kürzeren
Distanzhalter (Artikel 4) zusammenzubauen –siehe Zusammenbau Zeichnung 2 auf Seite 3.
• Wenn noch nicht bereits montiert sind, die Bubble-Aufkleber in den Vertiefungen der Sturzpad-
Schutzkappen montieren.
• Montieren Sie je eine BC00002 Schutzkappe (Artikel 2) in den Sturzpads wie in Abbildung 5
abgebildet.
• Überprüfen Sie, dass beide Seiten sicher befestigt sind und stellen Sie sicher, dass die Sturzpads
sich nicht drehen können, bevor Sie mit dem Motorrad fahren.
• Überprüfen Sie regelmäßig die Festigkeit an beiden Seiten.
