Quick Installation Guide of Ruijie Ethernet PoE Switches

This quick installation guide applies to RG-NBS1805C-P and RG-NBS1809C-P.
1. 设备安装

Step 1: Locate and drill holes on the wall according to the distance between the slots on the bottom panel
of the switch.

Step 2: Knock expansion screws (self-prepared) into the holes, then tighten two screws (self-prepared)
into the holes. Keep an appropriate distance between the inner edge of the screw head and the wall to
ensure that the switch can be hung on the screws firmly.

Step 3:Align the slots of the switch to the screw heads, and slip the switch to make it fixed on the screws
firmly.

LED indicator/Button
Description
PWR
Solid on: The switch is connected to a power source properly.
Off: The switch is disconnected from or not connected to a power supply
properly.
PoE
Solid on: The corresponding port is connected to a PoE-powered device (PD),
and is supplying power to it.
Blinking: The power consumption of the PD connected to the corresponding
port is too high.
Off: The port is not connected to a PD or does not supply power to it
successfully.
Link/Act
Solid on: The corresponding port is connected properly.
Blinking: Data is being transmitted over the corresponding port.
Off: The corresponding port is disconnected or improperly connected.
* Only for RG-NBS1805C-P
Working mode toggle, used to transfer the working mode of the switch.
- Default: Default mode of the switch. In this mode, the maximum data
rate of a single PoE port can be 100 Mbps.
- Extend: In this mode, the maximum data rate of a single PoE port reduces
to 10 Mbps, but maximum transmission distance is 250 meters.
VLAN
*Only for RG-NBS1809C-P
VLAN on/off button.
- Off: Default mode of the PoE switch. In this mode, all ports can
communicate with each other.
- On: In this mode, ports 1 to 8 of the switch can communicate with port 9
separately, but cannot communicate with each other. Used to reduce
broadcast storms and isolate DHCP broadcasts.
