STEP PROCEDURE
1. Switch the printer OFF and disconnect the AC power cord.
2. Raise the access door and remove (2) screws holding the
electronics side cover to the inside frame. Figs. 6-1
3. Remove (2) screws holding the side cover to the o tside frame.
Remove the cover to expose the electronics.

STEP PROCEDURE
1. Remove the front door from the CL4XXe Printer. Fig. 2
2. Remove and set aside (2) screws from stay.
Remove latch and set aside the screw. Fig. 3
3. Place mo nting plate in position and sec re with (2) screws removed in Step 2.

4. Sec re base of mo nting plate with screw from c tter kit. Fig. 5
5. Refer to Figs. 6. Place main c tter nit on a flat s rface so that the PC Board
is accessible.
Install the s pplied cable to c tter board as shown. Keys on cable connector do
not prevent incorrect orientation. However, the keys are provided as an
orientation aid.
6. Ro te the cables from the c tter thro gh the access hole in the printer. Fig. 7
7. Loosen (2) screws/retainers at the base of the c tter. Position and slide the
c tter into the mo nting plate and sec re with the screws/retainers. Fig. 8
8. Sec re c tter bracket to frame with screw previo sly removed in Step 2.

STEP PROCEDURE
9. Attach the front of the c tter to the printer panel with screw s pplied in c tter
kit. Fig. 10
10. Refer to Figs. 11. Disconnect cable from the display panel PC Board.
Disconnect the opposite end from the power s pply at CN2.
11. Ro te the cable ends from the c tter (thro gh access hole) and down behind
the motor and nder the belt. Attach the connector end "CUTP" to the power
s pply at CN2. Attach the remaining cable connector to "CN10" on the main
PC Board.
12. Sec re the cables to the printer wall with the s pplied cable hold down.
13. On the front panel, set DSW3-1 to the ON position.
14. Attach the replacement door to the printer. Fig. 12
15. Refer to Figs. 1. Replace the side cover previo sly removed.
16. Load the label stock and gently close the printer front door while feeding the
labels thro gh the c tter assembly and the front door. Verify that the labels
feed thro gh the c tter assembly witho t jamming. Close the access door.
17. Power p the printer and verify the c tter operation. R n several labels and
adj st the pitch offset so that the c tter activates at the desired location.

MOTOR AND UNDER THE BELT. ATTACH THE
CONNECTOR END "CUTP" TO THE POWER
SUPPLY AT CN2
AFTER THE CABLES HAVE BEEN PROPERLY
ROUTED AND ARE CONNECTED, SECURE
THE CABLES TO THE PRINTER WALL WITH
CABLE HOLD DOWN SUPPLIED IN THE KIT
CABLE CONNECTOR FROM
CUTTER TO "CN10" ON
