9Wear suitable clothing to avoid snagging. DO NOT wear jewellery and tie back long hair.
9Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the work area.
8DO NOT use the thread repair set when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medicine.
9Account for all tools and parts being used, DO NOT leave them in or near an engine. Return all parts to the case and store this in a
safe, dry, childproof location.

2. INTRODUCTION
Creates a stronger internal thread in soft metals. Ideal for repairing damaged or stripped internal threads. Protects tapped threads against wear
and damage. Set includes drill bit, thread tap, insert installation and lug breaking tool. Supplied with three di󰀨erent lengths of thread insert.

4.1 Drill out the damaged thread using the correctly sized twist drill
bit provided. 4.2 Tap drilled hole using screw tap provided.

4.3 Load thread insert into installation tool. 4.4 Screw insert into threaded hole.
4.5 Remove the tag from the insert using the breaking pin tool. 4.6 Thread is repaired and ready to use.
