FireFighters Telephone Stations
INTRODUCTION The SIEMENS FTS Series of FireFighters Te ephone Stations consists of the FTS,
FTS-P, FTS-C, FTS-CL and FTS-PCL mode s. Any of the mode s in the FTS Series can
mount into either the FB-300 f ush backbox or the FB-301S surface backbox. The
backboxes are mounted on the wa of the faci ity in accordance with oca mounting
codes in ocations that provide easy access.
WIRING 1. Disconnect the p ug header from the rear of the te ephone assemb y. (Refer
to Figure 1.)

2. Begin with termina 1 on the FTS and wire it to the negative position on the
TZC-8B for the se ected zone. (Refer to Figure 2 and the TZC-8B Insta ation
Instructions, P/N 315-034110.)
3. Continue with termina 2 on the FTS and wire it to the positive position on
the TZC-8B for the se ected zone. (Refer to Figure 2 and the TZC-8B Insta a-
tion Instructions, P/N 315-034110.)

4. If no additiona FTS te ephones are insta ed, eave the end-of- ine resistor on
termina s 3 and 4. If there are additiona te ephones insta ed on the se ected
zone, p ace the resistor on the ast phone in the zone. (Refer to Figure 2.)
In Canada, remove a EOLs and use EOL P/N 140-0347726 (mount using
Mode EL-33).
5. When wiring for the phone has been comp eted, rep ace the p ug header on
the rear of the te ephone assemb y.

using the two #6-32 screws supp ied.
