These operating instructions describe
only operations that are specific to
your Hicom®150 E Office (Release
2.0 and 2.2).
All functions and operating proce-
dures are described. The operations
you can use depend on the individual
class of service of your telephone and
on the configuration of your system.
When performing the various opera-
tions, you should note carefully which
telephone you have, which mode it is
set to, or both (see manufacturer’s
specifications and instructions).
For the basic operating functions of
your telephone please refer to the rel-
evant operating instructions.

You can use your telephone to access the functions of the Hicom 150 E Office
communication system via codes.
Symbols
Dial pulsing telephones
Symbol Meaning
Lift the handset (off-hook).
Speak.
Replace the handset (on-hook).
Press the specified keys.
Press the consultation hold key, signal key,
flash key (not applicable to pulse telephones).
Dial the station number or code.
You hear a tone.
A long tone (positive confirmation tone) con-
firms that you have successfully activated a
function or procedure.
A short tone (negative confirmation tone) indi-
cates that the function or procedure was re-
jected.

Answering Calls
Your telephone rings

Reserve Trunk
Lift the handset.
Speak.
Lift the handset.
Internal: Dial the station number.
External: Dial the external code and external
number.
Lift the handset.
Dial the external code and external number.
If configured, you can wait five seconds, until
the busy signal stops, when an external line is
busy and thus reserve this line for yourself.
Then replace the handset.
Once the line is free, your telephone will ring.
When you lift the handset, you hear the exter-
nal dial tone. Now dial the external number.
