Supervisor Control Panel
Note: Press any button to wake scale system.
Zeroing Scale
1. Place all items on bed needed for patient (sheets, pillows,
blankets, etc.).
2. Press and hold ZERO button until display window ashes.
3. Press ZERO button again to conrm. Do not lean on
footboard during zero process.
Weighing Patient
1. With patient in bed, press WEIGHT/CLEAR button to
display patient weight.
Adding/Removing Items
1. Press HOLD button until digital weight display reads“hold”
and LED glows green.
2. Add or remove items.
3. Press HOLD again to resume normal weight mode. Hold
mode is only possible when weight is stable.
Arming Bed Exit
1. With patient in bed, press and hold BED EXIT ALARM
button until you hear a beep. The Bed Exit Alarm will be
armed in the zone indicated by the LED.
3. To change zones, press BED EXIT ALARM button again
until LED changes to illuminate desired zone.
Disarming Bed Exit
1. Press and hold BED EXIT ALARM button until both
indicators are o.
Pausing Bed Exit
1. Press PAUSE for two seconds.
2.“P 15”is shown on display, indicating a pause period for
15 minutes. A decreasing number next to“P” indicates
countdown. While Bed Exit is paused, no acoustic alarm
is activated.
Setting Alarm Volume
1. Press PAUSE and BED EXIT ALARM simultaneously
until desired volume is reached.
Go Button
1. Press GO BUTTON to activate controls.
2. After three minutes of inactivity, bed
will need to be reactivated.
Stop Button
1. Press STOP BUTTON to immediately
interrupt all bed movements.

To Lower
1. Pull up on siderail while grasping the handles with an
underhand grip.
2. Press and hold both handles inward.
3. Gently lower siderail to desired position, then release.
Ensure siderail clicks into position.
To Raise
1. Grasp siderail bars and lift up into desired position.
2. Ensure siderail clicks into position.

Patient Access Door
To Remove
1. Release both magnetic locks at foot end
of bed by sliding inward.
2. Grasp and remove panel with both hands.
3. Lift panel up, rotate slightly toward bed,
and remove.
To Install
1. Align panel with guides at top and
bottom of bed end.
2. Slide panel down. Ensure panel“clicks”
into position and locks at top and bottom
of panel are secure.

Never leave patient unattended while access door is open.
To Open
1. Pull and hold locking pin toward you.
2. While still holding locking pin, lift patient access door up
to highest position (a magnet will hold it in place).
To Close
1. Push patient access door down carefully until it latches
into locked position.
2. Ensure locking pin is secured properly.

CPR/Code Situation
1. Unlock casters and pull bed from wall.
2. Engage brakes and lower siderails for patient
access.
3. For air Support Surface Quick Deation or CPR:
a. Turn power o on control unit.
b. Twist quick release connector on mattress
to open
c. Remove hoses from control unit
4. Activate CPR function pull CPR LEVER for
backrest release.
5. Proceed with facility protocols.
Note: Pediatric Pulse is an optional low air loss support
surface available with Tom 2.

Forward Movement
Bed moves straight ahead.
Braked
All casters are braked.
Unrestricted movement
Casters are unbraked, bed can
move in any direction.
