General information
The horizontal lifeline system is a temporary anchorage system in
accordance with EN 795 Type B and Type C (personal fall protection
equipment). It acts as an anchor point, to be used with EN 354
lanyards, energy absorbers (EN 355), mobile fall arrest devices
(EN 353-2) or fall arrest blocks (EN360), which limit the dynamic
forces to a maximum of 6 kN (impact force). Ensure that all persons
are protected against falling into the entry opening and from the
edge. Depending on the situation, individual fall protection must be
observed even during set-up. When working in enclosed spaces/
areas with a fall hazard, ensure that a fail-safe system with safety
harness is used, which enables the rescue of workers in an
emergency situation; e.g. a fall arrest retrieval block (EN 360 in
conjunction with EN 1496) and an appropriate rescue plan. The
anchoragesystemmustonlybeinstalledbyaqualiedpersonand
must be properly inspected. Use of the anchorage system is only
permitted for the purposes explained in this document. No
modicationsmaybemadetotheproducts.
1.) Assembly/Installation
1.1) Attach the horizontal lifeline system to the 2 anchor points.
These must have a minimum strength of 6 kN and be a maximum
of 20 m apart. Ensure the carabiners are locked and that the locking
mechanism does not catch on the anchor point. Structural integrity
must be guaranteed by a structure that is suitable for its intended
purpose and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis as part of a risk
analysis to be completed in full.
1.2) There must be a minimum of 30 cm webbing at the free end.
1.3) ATTENTION: Adjust length and tension with the ratchet. Pre-
tensioningoftheentiresystemhasasignicantinuenceonthe
forces generated on the anchor point and system when loaded. In
the worst case scenario, these resulting forces can lead to the
failure of the entire fall arrest system. To minimise the total forces,
pre-tensioning must, in all circumstances, be adjusted to a clearly
denedstandard.Toavoidcomplexcalculationsinareaswithafall
hazard, take account of both the calculated mid-system sag and
the wrapping of the webbing on the ratchet buckle. The neutral axis
of the system is midway along the intended line between the two
attachment points. The sag at the mid-point of the system is
calculated at a right angle to this line. This sag, in conjunction with
3 complete layers of webbing on the ratchet buckle, is to be

adjusted in accordance with Table 1 and observed under all
circumstances.
1.4) When using the system, ensure there is always sufcient
clearance beneath the user (see Table 2).
Dismantle the lifeline after every use and re-install/re-tension prior
to any further use.
ATTENTION: When setting up, ensure that the strap attached to
the accompanying bag is not pulled into the ratchet. Only carabiners
whose contact surface area is a minimum of 10 mm may be clipped
into the lifeline.
When loaded after a fall, the entire system must be replaced and
withdrawn from further use i.e. properly disposed of.
The product’s service life corresponds to the service life of our
webbing products and depending on use must undergo a detailed
inspection at least once a year (carried out by qualied trained
personnel).

LIFELINE HORIZONTAL
Das Horizontalsicherungssystem LIFELINE HORIZONTAL ist eine
temporäre Anschlageinrichtung nach EN 795 Typ B und Typ C
(persönlicheAbsturzschutzausrüstung). Es dient alsAnschlagpunkt
zur Verwendung mit EN 354 Verbindungsmitteln, mit Falldämpfern
(EN 355), mit mitlaufenden Auffanggeräten (EN 353-2) oder
Höhensicherungsgeräten (EN 360), welche die dynamisch
wirkenden Kräfte auf max. 6 kN begrenzen (Fangstoß). Bei der
Verwendung ist darauf zu achten, dass sich alle Personen gegen
Absturz in die Einstiegsöffnung bzw. an der Absturzkante sichern.
Je nach Aufbausituation ist die Eigensicherung gegen Absturz
schon während dem Aufbau zu beachten. Bei der Arbeit im
umschlossenen Raum/absturzgefährdeten Bereich ist dafür zu
sorgen, dass ein Sicherungssystem mit Auffanggurt verwendet
wird, welches im Notfall die Rettung des Arbeiters erlaubt, z.B. ein
Höhensicherungsgerät mit Rettungshub (EN 360 i.V.m. EN 1496)
und ein dementsprechendes Rettungskonzept vorhanden ist. Die
AnschlageinrichtungdarfnurdurchqualiziertesPersonalmontiert
werden und muss angemessen überprüft werden. Die Nutzung der
Anschlageinrichtung ist nur für die in diesem Dokument erklärten
Zwecke erlaubt. Es dürfen keine Änderung an den Produkten
durchgeführt werden.
1.) Montage/Installation
1.1) Das Horizontalsicherungssystem zwischen 2Anschlagpunkten
befestigen. Diese müssen eine Mindestfestigkeit von 6 kN
aufweisen und dürfen einen Abstand von max. 20 m haben. Auf
Verriegelung der Karabiner achten und darauf, dass diese nicht an
den Anschlagpunkten verkanten. Die Standsicherheit muß durch
eine dem Einsatzzweck entsprechende Struktur gewährleistet sein
und im Rahmen einer komplett durchzuführenen Risikoanlalyse im
Einzelfall bewertet werden.
1.2) Es müssen mindestens 30 cm Gurtband am offenen Ende
verbleiben.
1.3) ACHTUNG: Länge anpassen und mit Ratsche spannen. Die
Vorspannung des Gesamtsystems hat einen maßgeblichen
Einuss auf die im Belastungsfall auf das System und die
Anschlagpunkte wirkenden Kräfte. Im schlimmsten Fall können
diese resultierenden Kräfte ein Versagen des gesamten
Auffangsystems zur Folge haben. Um die Summe der Kräfte zu
minimieren muss die Vorspannung unter allen Umständen auf

einemklardeniertenNiveaueingestelltwerden.Umaufwendige
Messungen im absturtzgefärdenden Bereich zu vermeiden ist eine
Kombination aus gemessenem Durchhang in der Systemmitte und
der Gurtaufwicklung am Ratschenschloss zu beachten. Die Nullinie
des Systems ist durch die gedachte Verbindungslinie zwischen den
beiden Befestigungspunkten gegeben. Orthogonal zu dieser Linie
wird der Durchhang in der Systemmitte gemessen. Dieser
Durchhang, in Verbindung mit 3 vollen Gurtlagen am
Ratschenschloss, ist nach Tabelle 1 einzustellen und unter allen
Umständen einzuhalten!
1.4) Bei der Anwendung des Systems ist darauf zu achten, dass
immer genug Freiraum unterhalb des Benutzers vorhanden ist
(siehe Tabelle 2). Lifeline nach jeder Nutzung demontieren und vor
jeder Nutzung neu installieren/spannen.
ACHTUNG: Beim Aufbau ist darauf zu achten, dass das
Befestigungsband der zugehörigen Tasche nicht mit in die Ratsche
eingezogen wird. Es dürfen nur Karabiner mit einer Mindestbreite
derAuageächevon10mmzumEinhängenindieLifelinegenutzt
werden. Das komplette System muss nach einer Sturzbelastung
ausgetauscht und der weiteren Nutzung entzogen bzw. fachgerecht
entsorgt werden.
Die Lebensdauer des Produkts entspricht der Lebensdauer unserer
Gurtprodukte und muss je nach Verwendung mindestens allerdings
jährlich einer umfangreichen Überprüfung unterzogen werden
(durchgeführtdurchqualiziertesFachpersonal).

Informazioni generali
Il sistema di sicurezza orizzontale è un dispositivo di ancoraggio
temporaneo secondo la norma EN 795 tipo B e tipo C (dispositivo
di protezione individuale contro le cadute dall’alto). Funge da punto
di ancoraggio per l’uso con cordini EN 354, con assorbitori di
energia (EN 355), con dispositivi anticaduta di tipo guidato (EN
353-2) o dispositivi retrattili (EN 360), che limitano le forze
dinamiche ad un massimo di 6 kN (forza di arresto). Durante l’uso
è necessario accertarsi che tutte le persone siano assicurate
contro le cadute dall’alto nell’apertura di ingresso ovvero sullo
spigolo di caduta. A seconda delle caratteristiche della struttura,
l’autoprotezione contro le cadute dall’alto deve essere prevista già
in fase di apprestamento. Durante il lavoro in ambiente chiuso/area
a rischio di cadute dall’alto, assicurarsi che venga usato un sistema
di sicurezza con imbracatura che consenta di salvare l’operatore in
caso di emergenza; ad es. predisponendo un dispositivo anticaduta
di tipo retrattile con sollevamento (EN 360 abbinato a EN 1496) e
relativo piano di salvataggio. Il dispositivo di ancoraggio deve
esseremontato esclusivamente dapersonale qualicatoedeve
essere adeguatamente collaudato. L’uso del dispositivo di
ancoraggio è consentito solo per gli scopi indicati nel presente
documento.Nonèpermessoapportarealcunamodicaaiprodotti.
1.) Montaggio/installazione
1.1) Fissare il sistema di sicurezza orizzontale tra 2 punti di
ancoraggio che devono possedere una resistenza minima di 6 kN
ed essere posti a una distanza di max. 20 m. Quando si chiudono i
moschettoni, fare attenzione che essi non si pieghino sui punti di
ancoraggio. La stabilità deve essere garantita da una struttura
adeguata allo scopo d’uso e valutata nel singolo caso nell’ambito di
un’analisi del rischio completa.
1.2) Sull’estremità aperta devono restare almeno 30 cm di nastro.
1.3) ATTENZIONE: regolare la lunghezza e tendere con il
cricchetto. In caso di sollecitazione, il pretensionamento dell’intero
sistemahaunnotevoleinussosulsistemastessoesulleforze
che agiscono sui punti di ancoraggio. Nel peggiore dei casi, le forze
risultanti possono causare un mancato funzionamento dell’intero
sistema di arresto caduta. Per ridurre al minimo la somma delle
forze, è assolutamente necessario regolare il pretensionamento a
unlivellochiaramentedenito.Perevitarecomplessemisurazioni
nell’area a rischio di caduta, è necessario considerare una

combinazione tra il gioco misurato al centro del sistema e
l’avvolgimento del nastro sulla chiusura del cricchetto. La linea
zero del sistema è data dalla linea di collegamento ideale tra i due
punti di ssaggio. Il gioco al centro del sistema viene misurato
ortogonalmente rispetto a tale linea. Tale gioco, unitamente a 3 giri
di nastro completi sulla chiusura del cricchetto, deve essere
regolato secondo la tabella 1 e deve essere assolutamente
mantenuto.
1.4) Durante l’uso del sistema è necessario accertarsi che ci sia
sempre sufciente spazio libero al di sotto dell’utente (vedere
tabella 2).
Smontare la linea vita dopo ogni uso e montarla/tensionarla
nuovamente prima di ogni uso.
ATTENZIONE: Durante il montaggio ci si deve accertare che il
nastrodissaggiodelrelativoborsellononvengatiratodentrodal
cricchetto. Per appendersi con la linea vita, si possono usare solo
moschettoniconunalarghezzaminimadellasuperciediappoggio
di 10 mm.
Dopo la sollecitazione di una caduta, l’intero sistema deve essere
sostituito e deve essere ritirato dall’uso ovvero adeguatamente
smaltito.
Il ciclo vitale del prodotto è pari al ciclo vitale dei nostri prodotti con
nastri. A seconda dell’utilizzo, il prodotto deve essere sottoposto,
almeno a cadenza annuale, a un’ampia ispezione (eseguita da
personaletecnicoqualicato).

Généralités
La ligne de vie horizontale temporaire est un dispositif d’ancrage
temporaire conforme à la norme EN 795 type B et type C
(équipement de protection individuelle anti-chutes). Il sert de point
d’ancrage pour utiliser des longes EN 354, des absorbeurs
d’énergie (EN 355), des antichutes mobiles (EN 353-2) ou appareils
antichutes (EN 360) qui limitent à 6 kN les forces de choc subies
(absorption de choc). Lors de l’utilisation, veiller à ce que toutes les
personnes se protègent pour ne pas tomber dans le trou d’homme
ou dans le vide. Suivant la situation, il convient de se protéger
contre les chutes dès la phase d’installation. Lors de travaux
effectuésdanslesespacesconnés/zonessoumisesàunrisque
de chute, veiller à utiliser un système de sécurité avec harnais
antichute permettant le sauvetage du travailleur en cas d’urgence,
par ex. un appareil antichute à rappel automatique avec dispositif
de sauvetage (EN 360 associée à la norme EN 1496), et à disposer
d’un concept de sauvetage correspondant. Seul un personnel
qualiédoitmonterledispositifd’ancrage,etcedernierdoitêtre
contrôlé de façon appropriée. L’utilisation du dispositif d’ancrage
est uniquement autorisée aux ns décrites dans le présent
document.N’apporteraucunemodicationauxproduits.
1.) Montage/installation
1.1) Fixer la ligne de vie horizontale temporaire entre 2 points
d’ancrage.Leursrésistancesdoiventêtred’aumoins6kNetilsne
doiventpasêtredistantsdeplusde20ml’undel’autre.Veillerau
bon verrouillage des mousquetons et à ce qu’ils ne se coincent pas
danslespointsd’ancrage.Lastabilitédoitêtregarantieparune
structure conforme à l’utilisation prévue. La stabilité doit être
évaluée au cas par cas dans le cadre d’une analyse des risques à
réaliser entièrement.
1.2) Il doit y avoir au moins 30 cm de surplus de sangle aux
extrémités libres.
1.3) ATTENTION: Adapter la longueur et tendre avec le cliquet. La
prétensionappliquéeàl’ensembledusystèmeinuefortementsur
les forces subies par le système et par les pointes d’ancrage en
cas de chute. Dans le pire des cas, ces forces peuvent conduire à
une défaillance de l’ensemble du système antichute. Pour réduire
letotaldesforces,laprétensiondoittoujoursêtresurunniveau
clairementdéni.Pouréviterd’avoiràfairedemultiplesmesures

dans une zone à risque de chute, on s’appuie sur un calcul à partir
delaèchemesuréeaumilieudusystèmeetdel’enroulementde
la sangle dans le blocage par cliquet. La ligne de référence du
systèmeestlalignedroiteentrelesdeuxpointsdexation.On
mesure la èche perpendiculaire à cette ligne, au milieu du
système.Cetteècheserègled’aprèsletableau1;laècheréelle
nedoitjamaisêtreinférieureauxvaleursindiquéesdanscetableau
(prévoir toujours 3 tours complets de sangle sur le bloqueur à
cliquet) !
1.4) Lorsque l’on utilise le système, il faut veiller à toujours avoir

Generalidades
El sistema de seguridad horizontal es un equipo de protección
individual dispositivo de sujeción temporal según EN 795 tipo B y
C (anticaídas). El mismo sirve absorbedores como punto de
sujeción para uso con dispositivos medios de unión EN 354,
retractiles de caídas (EN 355), anticaídas deslizantes (EN 353-2) o
de seguridad anticaídas (EN 360) que limitan las fuerzas que
actúan dinámicamente a 6 kN como máx. (fuerza de choque).
Durante el uso del producto ha de garantizarse que todas las
personas se protejan contra caída en la abertura de acceso o en el
borde de caída. En función de la situación estructural, durante el
montaje ha de tenerse en cuenta la seguridad intrínseca contra
caídas. Al trabajar en un/a lugar cercado/zona con riesgo de caída
ha de garantizarse el uso de un sistema de seguridad con arnés
que en caso retractil de emergencia permita el rescate del
trabajador, p. ej. un e seguridad anticaídas con carrera de rescate
(EN 360 en combinación con EN 1496) y exista el concepto de
rescate correspondiente. El dispositivo de sujeción sólo debe
montarse por personal cualicado y tiene que vericarse
adecuadamente. El uso del dispositivo de sujeción sólo se permite
paralosnesexplicadosenestedocumento.Enlosproductosno
debenrealizarsemodicaciones.
1.) Montaje/instalación
1.1) Fije el sistema de seguridad horizontal entre 2 puntos de
sujeción, los cuales han de tener una resistencia mínima de 6 kN y
no deben superar una distancia de 20 m como máx. Asegúrese de
que los mosquetones estén bloqueados y no se ladeen en los
puntos de sujeción. La estabilidad tiene que garantizarse mediante
unaestructuraadecuadaparalanalidad,
y evaluarse en casos individuales para asegurar un análisis
completo fuera de riesgos
1.2) En el extremo abierto han de permanecer al menos 30 cm de
cinta de correa.
1.3) ATENCIÓN: adaptar la longitud y tensar con trinquete. La
tensión previa del sistema completo tiene una inuencia
determinante sobre las fuerzas que actúan sobre el sistema y los
puntos de sujeción en caso de carga. En el peor de los casos,
estas fuerzas resultantes pueden provocar un fallo en el sistema
