The via ferrata set has been especially developed by SKYLOTEC
for use on alpine via ferrata and should only be used for this
purpose. Please read and make sure you understand the user
instructions! Any structural modications to the set are prohibited!
The set should only be used by those who are familiar with handling
such equipment. Only use via ferrata if you are in good physical
and mental shape. Mountain walking and rock climbing are
dangerous activities. A lack of concentration, exaggerated self-
condence, misuse and/or insufcient care of equipment can have
lethal consequences. You alone are responsible for the risks and
dangers to which you expose yourself! If you have even the
slightest doubt concerning your safety, abandon your climb. The
manufacturer or operator accepts no responsibility in the event of
misuse or inappropriate use or failure to comply with these user
and maintenance instructions. The approved user weight for the
set (incl. all components) ranges from 40 kg to 120 kg.
Use
Select a full harness or only a leg harness depending on the
circumstances (level of difculty of the route / carrying a backpack
/ personal experience / etc.) [1].
Secure the SKYLOTEC via ferrata set only to permitted belay loops
on your harness according to the harness operating instructions
using a cow hitch knot. Pull the tie-in point through the belay loop
of the belt and feed the entire set beginning with the karabiners
through the belay loop of the via ferrata set [2]. Have an experienced
person check that this connection is secure.
Always attach both safety karabiners to the steel rope [3], [4]. The
karabiner is not to be used in combination with fabric ropes or other
ropes under any circumstances. Allow your via ferrata set to move
freely along the rope as you climb. While climbing with the support
of a steel rope, guide both karabiners using your hands along the
steel rope [5]. Make sure you have a rm hold when attaching the
karabiners and hang these next to one another. As soon as the rst
karabiner is attached above the hook on the steel rope, the second
karabiner can be tted. This will ensure that you are always
attached to the safety rope. Always keep a sufcient distance from
your climbing partner along the climbing route to ensure that you
are not endangered should your partner fall [6]. Climbing by
inexperienced persons or routes which challenge the capabilities of
individual climbers should be supported by mountaineering rope

techniques [7]. When resting, use a separate secure attachment,
e.g. sling strap with carabiner. Use a cow hitch to secure the sling
strap to the rope eyelet on your harness and to the carabiner
attached to the cable. Now you can put weight on the connection in
a slow and controlled manner [8]. Never tie up the legs [9]
Cleaning
Wash dirty textile products in lukewarm water using a soft brush
(where necessary use a neutral detergent). Rinse well with clean
water. Dry slowly at room temperature – never in a tumble dryer or
on a radiator.
Transport
Carry in a tool bag or special storage or transport container. These
measures protect the product from direct sunlight, chemicals, dirt
and mechanical damage.
Storage
Store the product in a cool and dry place, protected from sunlight,
outside its transport container and free of mechanical pressure,
crushing or pulling forces.
Caution! Avoid contact with chemicals (oils, battery acid, etc.)!
Service life
The product‘s lifespan is essentially dependent on the way it is
used and the frequency, as well as external factors. Products made
of synthetic bres undergo a certain amount of ageing even if not
used, depending particularly on the intensity of UV radiation and
climatic factors. Used occasionally (1 - 2 times a month), the life
span is up to 5 years. Used regularly (weekly), the life span is up to
3 years. When used professionally / commercially (almost daily
rental), the life span is up to one year. Even in optimal storage
conditions and even if not used, the product should be discarded
after 10 years.
CAUTION: The product‘s lifespan can be reduced in a single use if
put under considerable stress (e.g. after an extreme fall, fall factor
>1). Perform a careful visual check of the equipment before and
after each use!
The product must be immediately replaced in the following cases:
• after a hard fall (extreme mechanical stress)
• if lines or seams are damaged (eece build-up, loose threads,
etc.)
• after exposure to extreme temperatures, heat generated by
contact or rubbing (visible melting or melting traces)
• in the case of irreversible or heavy soiling (e.g. contact with
chemicals, bitumen, oil, etc.) Markings of any kind (e.g. with
lacquer marker) on the via ferrata set are considered to be
chemical contaminations and affect the product‘s lifespan. If
the via ferrata set is old, dispose of the product to avoid further

dangerous use.
• If the colour indicator becomes visible [10], the product needs
to be replaced immediately and may not be used.
Maintenance, modications, repairs
Check your via ferrata set before and after each use for any
damage or defects compared with its original condition. Even light
falls may lead to torn seams. In this case, the fasteners must be
discarded immediately. If the shock absorber has fullled its
function once, the complete set must be discarded. Any
modications, extensions or repairs may only be performed by
SKYLOTEC.

Das Klettersteigset, wurde von SKYLOTEC speziell für das
Begehen alpiner Klettersteige entwickelt und darf ausschließlich
für diesen Zweck verwendet werden. Lesen und verstehen Sie die
vorliegende Bedienungsanleitung! Jegliche bauliche
Veränderungen des Sets sind untersagt! Das Set darf nur von im
Umgang vertrauten Personen verwendet werden. Begehen Sie
Klettersteige nur dann, wenn Sie sich in einem einwandfreien
physischen und psychischen Zustand benden. Bergsteigen und
Klettern gelten naturgemäß als gefährlich. Mangelnde
Konzentration, Selbstüberschätzung, falscher Gebrauch und/oder
unzureichende Pege der Ausrüstung können tödliche Folgen
haben. Sie sind selbst verantwortlich für Risiken und Gefahren
denen Sie sich aussetzen! Sollten Sie auch nur geringste Zweifel
Ihre Sicherheit betreffend haben, verzichten Sie auf die Tour. Der
Hersteller oder Vertreiber übernimmt keinerlei Verantwortung bei
falscher oder nicht korrekter Anwendung sowie bei Missachtung
der hier beschriebenen Anwendungs- und Wartungsvorschriften.
Das zulässige Gesamtgewicht für das Set (inkl. aller Ausrüstung)
liegt zwischen 40 kg und 120 kg.
Gebrauch
Wählen Sie einen Komplettgurt oder nur einen Sitzgurt anhand der
äußeren Umstände (Schwierigkeitsgrad der Tour/ Mitführen eines
Rucksacks/ eigenes Können usw.) eigenständig aus [1].
Binden Sie das SKYLOTEC Klettersteigset ausschließlich in
zugelassene Anseilpunkte Ihres Gurtes gemäß Bedienungs-
anleitung desselben mit einem Ankerstich ein. Dazu schieben Sie
die Einbindeschlaufe des Klettersteigset durch den Anseilpunkt
des Gurtes und fädeln das gesamte Set mit den Karabinern
beginnend durch die Anseilschlaufe des Klettersteigset [2]. Lassen
Sie anschließend diese Verbindung durch eine erfahrene Person
überprüfen.
Hängen Sie immer beide Sicherungskarabiner in das Stahlseil ein
[3], [4]. Es ist ausdrücklich untersagt, den Karabiner in Kombination
mit textilen Seilen oder sonstigen Bändern zu verwenden. Führen
Sie das Klettersteigset in Kletterpassagen frei laufend am Seil mit.
Bei der Begehung mit Unterstützung durch das Stahlseil führen Sie
die beiden Karabiner zwischen Ihren Händen am Stahlseil [5].
Achten Sie auf einen sicheren Stand beim Umhängen und hängen
Sie die Karabiner nacheinander um. Sobald der erste Karabiner
oberhalb des Hakens im Drahtseil hängt, folgt der zweite. Dadurch

sind Sie stets mit dem Sicherungsseil verbunden. Halten Sie zu
Ihren Kletterpartnern immer soviel Abstand auf den
Klettersteigfeldern, dass Sie im Falle eines Sturzes durch ihren
Partner nicht gefährdet werden [6]. Begehungen von Ungeübten
oder Passagen an der Leistungsgrenze einzelner kletternder
Personen sollten mit Bergsportseiltechnik nachgesichert werden
[7]. Beim Rasten verwenden Sie eine separate Sicherung, z. B.
Bandschlinge mit Karabiner. Verbinden Sie die Bandschlinge per
Ankerstich mit der Anseilöse Ihres Gurtes und den eingehängten
Karabiner mit dem Stahlseil. Jetzt können Sie diese Verbindung
langsam und kontrolliert belasten. Rasten Sie niemals nur an
einem Sicherungsstrang [8]. Verknoten Sie niemals die Lastarme.
[9].
Reinigung
Verschmutze textile Produkte reinigen Sie in handwarmen Wasser
unter Verwendung einer weichen Bürste (evtl. mit Zusatz von
Neutralseife). Mit klarem Wasser sorgfältig ausspülen. Bei
Raumtemperatur langsam trocknen – niemals in Wäschetrocknern
oder auf Heizkörpern.
Transport
Verwenden Sie zum Transport einen Gerätebeutel oder spezielle
Lager- oder Transportbehälter. Dadurch ist das Produkt vor direkter
Sonnenstrahlung, Chemikalien, Verschmutzungen und
mechanischer Beschädigung geschützt.
Lagerung
Lagern Sie das Produkt kühl, trocken und vor Tageslicht geschützt
außerhalb von Transportbehältern, ohne mechanische Druck-,
Quetsch- oder Zugbelastung. Achtung! Kontakt mit Chemikalien
(Öle, Batteriesäure ...) vermeiden!
Lebensdauer
Die Lebensdauer des Produktes ist im Wesentlichen abhängig
von der Anwendungsart und Häugkeit sowie von äußeren
Einüssen. Aus Chemiefasern hergestellte Produkte unterliegen
auch ohne Benutzung einer gewissen Alterung, die insbesondere
durch die Stärke der UV-Strahlung und klimatischen
Umwelteinüssen abhängig ist. Bei gelegentlicher Nutzung (1-2
mal im Monat) beträgt die Lebensdauer bis zu 5 Jahre. Bei häuger
Nutzung (wöchentlich) beträgt die Lebensdauer bis zu 3 Jahre. Bei
professioneller/gewerblicher Nutzung (Verleihbetrieb fast täglich)
beträgt die Lebensdauer bis zu einem Jahr. Selbst bei optimalen
Lagerungsbedingungen und ohne Verwendung sollte das Produkt
nach 10 Jahren ausgesondert werden. ACHTUNG: Bei extremer
Belastung kann sich die Lebensdauer des Produktes auf einen
einzigen Einsatz reduzieren (z. B. nach einer starken
Sturzbelastung, Sturzfaktor >1). Führen Sie vor und nach jedem

Gebrauch eine sorgfältige Sichtkontrolle Ihrer Ausrüstung durch!
Das Produkt muss grundsätzlich umgehend ausgetauscht werden:
• nach einem harten Sturz (extreme mechanische Belastung)
• bei Beschädigung von Bändern oder Nahtbildern (Pelzbildung,
gezogenen Fäden usw.)
• nach starker thermischer Belastung, Kontakt- oder
Reibungshitze (sichtbare Verschmelzungen oder
Schmelzspuren)
• bei irreversiblen, starken Verschmutzungen (z. B. Kontakt mit
Chemikalien, Bitumen, Ölen ...) Markierungen jeglicher Art (z.
B. mit Lackfarbstiften) auf dem Klettersteigset sind als
chemische Verschmutzung anzusehen und führen zur
Ablegereife. Ist das Klettersteigset ablegereif, zerstören und
entsorgen Sie das Produkt, um weiteren, gefährlichen
Gebrauch zu verhindern.
• Bei Sichtbarkeit des Farbindikators [10], darf das Set nicht
weiter verwendet werden.
Instandhaltung, Änderungen, Reparaturen
Überprüfen Sie Ihr Klettersteigset vor und nach jedem Gebrauch
auf evtl. Schäden oder Anomalien im Vergleich zum Neuzustand.
Bereits leichte Stürze können zu einem Anreißen der Nähte führen.
Ist dies der Fall, so muss das Verbindungsmittel unverzüglich
ausgesondert werden. Wenn der Falldämpfer einmal seine
Funktion erfüllt hat, muss das komplette Set ausgesondert werden.
Jegliche Änderungen, Ergänzungen oder Reparaturen dürfen
ausschließlich durch SKYLOTEC durchgeführt werden.

Il set da ferrata è stato appositamente sviluppato dalla SKYLOTEC
per l‘arrampicata in montagna e deve essere utilizzato
esclusivamente per tale scopo. Leggere e comprendere le presenti
istruzioni per l‘uso! È vietato apportare qualsiasi modifica strutturale
al set! Il set deve essere utilizzato solamente da persone esperte.
Si raccomanda di affrontare un‘arrampicata solo se ci si trova in
buone condizioni fisiche e psichiche. L‘alpinismo e l‘arrampicata
comportano per loro natura dei pericoli. La mancanza di
concentrazione, sopravvalutare le proprie capacità, l‘utilizzo errato
e/o la scarsa cura dell‘attrezzatura possono avere conseguenze
mortali. L‘utente è direttamente responsabile dei rischi e dei pericoli
a cui si espone! Se sussiste anche il minimo dubbio in merito alla
propria sicurezza, non affrontare l‘escursione. Il produttore e il
distributore non si assumono alcuna responsabilità in caso di
utilizzo errato o non corretto del prodotto o di mancato rispetto delle
istruzioni per l‘uso e la manutenzione riportate nel presente
documento. Il perso ammissibile consentito (incluso
equipaggiamento utilizzato) è tra 40 kg e 120 kg.
Uso
Scegliere autonomamente un‘imbracatura completa o soltanto un
cosciale sulla base delle condizioni esterne (il grado di difcoltà del
percorso/il portare con sé uno zaino/le capacità personali e via
dicendo)[1]. Legareilset pervia ferrataSKYLOTECesclusivamente
nei punti di aggancio consentiti della vostra imbracatura, secondo
le istruzioni per l‘uso della stessa, con un nodo strozzato. A questo
scopo spingere il cappio dello SKYSAFE attraverso il punto di
aggancio dell‘imbracatura e legare tutto il set con i moschettoni
iniziando dal cappio di aggancio dello SKYSAFE [2]. Far vericare
quindi questo collegamento da una persona esperta.
Agganciare sempre entrambi i moschettoni di sicurezza alla fune
d‘acciaio [3], [4]. È espressamente vietato utilizzare il moschettone
in combinazione con corde di tessuto o altre cinghie. Portare con
sé il set per via ferrata nei passaggi ferrati a scorrimento libero sulla
corda. Durante l‘ascensione supportata da fune d‘acciaio introdurre
entrambi i moschettoni tra le mani sulla fune d‘acciaio [5].
Assicurarsi una posizione sicura mentre si cambia e appendere i
moschettoni uno dietro l‘altro. Non appena il primo moschettone è
agganciato al di sopra del gancio nella fune metallica, segue il
secondo. In tal modo si è sempre collegati alla fune di sicurezza.
Mantenere sempre, sui campi della via ferrata, una distanza dai

compagni di cordata tale da non essere messi in pericolo in caso di
caduta dei compagni [6]. Le ascensioni da parte di persone non
allenate o i passaggi ai limiti delle prestazioni delle singole persone
che scalano dovrebbero essere assicurati con funi per sport alpini
[7]. Durante le soste, utilizzare un sistema di sicurezza separato,
come ad es. una fettuccia con moschettone. Collegare la fettuccia
tramite nodo barcaiolo all‘occhiello di legatura presente
sull‘imbracatura e il moschettone con la fune d‘acciaio. Ora è
possibile esercitare del carico su questo collegamento in modo
lento e controllato. Non sostare mai agganciati solo a una fune di
sicurezza [8]. Non annodare mai i due rami tessili [9]
Pulizia
Pulire i componenti tessili sporchi con acqua tiepida, utilizzando
una spazzola morbida (event. aggiungere sapone neutro).
Risciacquare accuratamente con acqua pulita. Far asciugare
lentamente a temperatura ambiente - non asciugare mai in
asciugatrice o sui termosifoni.
Trasporto
Utilizzare per il trasporto il sacco apposito o speciali contenitori da
immagazzinaggio o da trasporto. In questo modo il prodotto è
protetto dall‘irradiazione diretta del sole, da prodotti chimici,
sporcizia e danni meccanici.
Immagazzinaggio
Immagazzinare il prodotto in un luogo fresco, asciutto e protetto
dalla luce del giorno al di fuori dei contenitori da trasporto, senza
carico meccanico di pressione, schiacciamento o trazione.
Attenzione! Evitare il contatto con prodotti chimici (oli, acidi delle
batterie ...)!
Durata
La durata del prodotto dipende sostanzialmente dal tipo e dalla
frequenza di applicazione e dagli inussi esterni. I prodotti fabbricati
con bre chimiche, anche se non vengono utilizzati, sono soggetti
ad un certo invecchiamento, che dipende in particolare dalla forza
dei raggi UV e dagli inussi climatici. In caso di uso occasionale
(1-2 volte al mese) la durata arriva no a 5 anni. In caso di uso più
frequente (settimanale) la durata arriva no a 3 anni. In caso di uso
professionale/industriale (noleggio quasi quotidiano) la durata
arriva no a un anno. In condizioni ottimali di immagazzinaggio e
senza utilizzo il prodotto dovrebbe essere scartato dopo 10 anni.
ATTENZIONE: in caso di carico estremo la durata del prodotto può
essere ridotta ad un singolo impiego (per esempio dopo un carico
pesante da caduta, fattore di caduta >1).
Effettuare un controllo visivo accurato prima e dopo ogni utilizzo
dell‘attrezzatura!
Il prodotto deve essere sostituito in linea di massima senza indugio:

• dopo un duro colpo (carico meccanico estremo),
• in caso di danni alle cinghie o alle cuciture (formazione di
pelliccia, li tirati e via dicendo),
• in seguito a un carico termico pesante, calore da contatto o da
sfregamento (fusioni visibili o tracce di fusione),
• in caso sporcizia irreversibile e pesante (per esempio a contatto
con prodotti chimici, bitume, oli...).
Marcature di qualsiasi genere (per esempio con pennarelli) sul
set per via ferrata vanno viste come sporcizia chimica e portano
alla maturità di deposizione. Se il set per via ferrata è pronto
per la sostituzione, distruggere e smaltire il prodotto per
impedirne un uso ulteriore e pericoloso.
• In caso di visibilità dell‘indicatore di colore [10] sostituire

Ce kit de via ferrata a été développé spécialement par SKYLOTEC
pour la pratique de la via ferrata alpine et doit être utilisé
exclusivement à cette n. Veuillez lire et comprendre le présent
manuel d‘utilisation ! Toute modication structurelle du kit est
interdite ! Le kit doit uniquement être utilisé en présence de
personnes familières avec le produit. Ne pratiquez la via ferrata
que si vous êtes dans un bon état physique et psychique.
L‘alpinisme et l‘escalade sont dangereux par nature. Le manque de
concentration, la surestimation de ses capacités, une mauvaise
utilisation et/ou un entretien insufsant de l‘équipement peuvent
avoir des conséquences mortelles. Vous seul êtes responsable
des risques et des dangers auxquels vous vous exposez !
Renoncez au circuit si vous avez le moindre doute quant à votre
sécurité. Le fabricant et le distributeur n‘assument aucune
responsabilité en cas de mauvaise utilisation du produit et de non-
respect des instructions d‘utilisation et d‘entretien décrites ici. Le
poids total autorisé pour le kit (tout l’équipement inclus) est de
40 kg à 120 kg.
Utilisation
Se munir d‘un harnais complet (baudrier) ou d‘un harnais cuissard
en fonction des circonstances (degré de difculté de la course/port
d‘un sac à dos ou non/ niveau de capacité propre, etc.) [1].
Ne reliez le kit d‘escalade SKYLOTEC que sur les points du harnais
prévus pour l‘encordement comme indiqué dans sa notice d‘emploi.
Engagez la boucle de liaison du kit d‘escalade par le point
d‘encordement du harnais et enlez tout le kit en commençant par
les mousquetons par la boucle d‘encordement du kit [2]. Faites
vérier la liaison par quelqu‘un d‘expérimenté.
Toujours accrocher les deux mousquetons de sécurité au câble
acier [3], [4]. Il est formellement interdit d‘utiliser le mousqueton
avec des cordes ou des sangles en textile. Progresser en faisant
glisser le kit d‘escalade sur le câble. Sur les passages où le câble
acier offre une prise directe, progresser avec les deux mousquetons
entre les mains [5]. Assurez vous d‘avoir une position stable dans
la progression en accrochant les mousquetons l‘un après l‘autre.
Dès que le premier mousqueton est accroché au dessus du crochet
dans le câble acier, accrocher le deuxième. Ainsi vous êtes
toujours relié au câble de sécurité. Maintenez toujours une
