Introduction
SAFEPRACTICES
1. It is your responsibility to read this manual and all publications associated with this machine (engine,
accessoriesandattachments).
2. Neverallow anyone tooperateor service themachine or itsattachmentswithout proper trainingand
instructions.Never allow minorstooperate anyequipment.
3. Learnthe proper use ofthe machine, the locationandpurpose of all thecontrolsand gauges before you
operatetheequipment. Working withunfamiliarequipment can leadtoaccidents.
4. Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on your head, eyes, ears, hands and feet. Operate the
machine only in daylight or in good artificial light.
5. Inspect the area where the equipment will be used. Pick up all debris you can find before operating.
Bewareof overheadobstructionsand undergroundobstacles. Stayalert forhiddenhazards.
6. Neveroperate equipment thatisnot in perfect workingorder or without decals,guards, shields, or other
protectivedevices inplace.
7. Never disconnect or bypass any switch.
8. Carbonmonoxide in theexhaust fumes canbe fatal wheninhaled, never operateamachine withoutproper
ventilation.
9. Fuel is highly flammable, handle with care.
10. Keep engineclean.Allow the engine tocoolbefore storing and alwaysremovethe ignition key.
11. Afterenginehas started machine mustnotmove. If movement is evident,theneutral mechanism is not
adjustedcorrectly. Shut engine offand readjust so themachinedoesnot move when in neutral position.
13. Never useyourhands to search for oilleaks.Hydraulic fluid under pressure canpenetratethe skin and
cause serious injury.
14. Thismachinedemands your attention.To preventlossof control ortippingof the vehicle:
A. Use extra caution in backing up the vehicle. Ensure area is clear.
B. Do not stop or start suddenly on any slope.
C. Reduce speed on slopes and in sharp turns. Use caution when changing directions on slopes.
D. Stay alert for holes in the terrain and other hidden hazards.
15. Before leavingoperator’s positionforany reason:
A.Disengage all drives.
B. Lower all attachments to the ground.
C. Set park brake.
D.Shutengine offand removetheignition key.
16. Keephands,feet and clothing awayfrommoving parts. Wait forallmovement to stop beforeyou clean,
adjustorservice the machine.
17. Keepthearea of operation clearof all bystanders.
18. Nevercarry passengers.
19. Stopengine before making repairs/adjustmentsorchecking/addingoil to the crankcase.
