1. INTRODUCTION
The Sonesse®50 motor range can motorise all tubular applications: Roller shades, Roman shades,
Projection screens, ...
The Sonesse®50 is designed to ensure quiet operations.

2. SAFETY
2.1. Safety and responsibility
• This Somfy product must be installed by a professional motorisation and home automation
installer, for whom these instructions are intended.
• Before installation, check that this product is compatible with the associated equipment and
accessories.
• These instructions describe how to install, commission and use this product.
• Moreover, the installer must comply with current standards and legislation in the country in which
the product is being installed, and inform his customers of the operating and maintenance
conditions for the product.
• Any use outside the sphere of application specied by Somfy is not approved. Such use, or any
failure to comply with the instructions given herein will invalidate the warranty, and Somfy refuses
to accept liability.

2.2. Specic safety advice
In addition to the safety instructions described in this guide, be sure to also observe the
instructions set out in the attached document "Safety instructions to follow and keep".
1) Switch off the mains supply of the shade before
performing any service operation in the vicinity.
To avoid damaging the product:

6) Avoid moving the shade if ice has formed on it.

1) Fit the crown (a) and drive wheel (b) to the motor.
2) Measure the length (L) between the end of the drive
wheel and the head end.
1) Cut the tube to the required length.
2) Deburr the tube and remove the debris.
3) For smooth roller tubes, cut a notch with the
following measurements:
e = 4 mm / 0.16 In h = 28 mm / 1.1 In
1) Slide the motor into the tube.
For smooth roller tubes, position the notch previously
cut on the crown.
2) Fix the tube to the drive whell with 4 self-tapping
screws with a diameter of 5 mm or 4 steel pop rivets
with a diameter of 4.8 mm located at L - 15 mm ± 3 mm.
Warning: The screws or pop rivets must only be
attached to the drive wheel and not to the motor.
If necessary, screw the bracket interface on the motor
head.
1) Mount the motorized tube on the end bracket (c).
2) Mount the motorized tube on the motor bracket (d).
Fit the stop ring (e).

4. WIRING
1) Cut off the mains power supply.
2) Connect the motor according to the information in
the table below:

5. COMMISSIONING
1) Switch on the power supply.
2) Press the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously
on the RTS transmitter: the shade jogs (moves up and
down briey) and the transmitter is preprogrammed in
the motor
1) Press the RTS transmitter UP button:
a) If the shade is raised (a), the rotation direction is
correct: move to the section entitled «Adjusting the end
limits».
b) If the shade is lowered (b), the rotation direction is
incorrect: move to the next step.
2) Press the RTS transmitter MY button until the shade
jogs: the rotation direction has been modied.
3) Press the RTS transmitter UP button to check the
rotation direction.

The limits can be set in any sequence.
1) Press and hold the UP button to move the shade
to the desired Up position. If necessary adjust the Up
position, using the UP or DOWN buttons.
2) Press the MY and DOWN buttons simultaneously
and release them once the shade begins to move. The
up limit is memorized.
3) Press the MY button when it reaches the desired
Down position.
If necessary adjust the down position, using the UP or
DOWN buttons.
4) Press the MY and UP buttons simultaneously and
release them when the shade begins to move.
The Down limit is memorized. The shade moves up and
will stop at its upper limit.
5) To conrm the end limits press and hold the MY
button until the shade jogs.The end limits are recorded.
After recording the end limits:
Briey press the programming button on the back of
the transmitter. The shade jogs.
The transmitter is recorded.
OR
1) Switch off the power supply.
2) Switch on the power supply. The shade jogs.
3) Simultaneously press the UP and DOWN buttons on
the RTS transmitter. The shade jogs.
4) Briey press the programming button on the back of
the transmitter. The shade jogs.
The transmitter is recorded.
To set the MY position, move the shade to the desired
position with the UP or DOWN button then press the
MY button until the shade jogs.

6. OPERATION
Up, Down, My
1) To move the shade from a limit to the other limit,
briey press the UP or DOWN button.
2) To stop the shade, press the MY button.
3) To move the shade to the MY position, briey press
the MY button.
6.2.1. Operating with a Somfy sun sensor
To activate this function, you need a Telis Soliris
transmitter. By default, the Sun function is not active.
1) To activate the Sun function, press the SELECT
button on the Telis Soliris transmitter until the shade
jogs.
2) To disactivate the Sun function, press the SELECT
button on the Telis Soliris transmitter until the shade
jogs.
When the intensity of the daylight exceeds the
threshold set by the Sunis sensor RTS, an order is
sent to the shade after 2 min.
The shade goes to the MY position or to its down limit
if no MY position has been memorised.
When the intensity of the daylight falls below the
threshold set by the Sunis sensor RTS, the shade goes
to its Up limit after a delay of 15 to 30 minutes.
6.2.2. Operating with a Somfy wind sensor
Reaction of the screen to the wind rising.
When the wind rises, the screen will start to move up
to the upper end limit. It is impossible to prevent the
screen from closing, or to lower it while the wind is still
blowing.
Reaction of the screen to the wind dropping.
When the wind has dropped, a manual down order
may be issued via the RTS control point after 30
seconds. However, all automated systems will remain
locked for 11 mins.
We suggest not to pair a wind sensor to the motor
when used to motorize interior window coverings. The
motor will react in priority to the wind sensor orders,
functionning not adapted to interior window coverings.

7. ADDITIONAL SETTING
7.1.1. Changing the MY position
To change the MY position go to the new desired MY
position with the UP and DOWN buttons then press the
MY button until the shade jogs.
7.1.2. Deleting the MY position
To delete the MY position, press the MY button to
move to this position and press the MY button until the
shade jogs.
Readjusting the upper end limit
1) Press the UP button, to move the shade to the limit
to be readjusted.
2) Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons
simultaneously until the shade jogs.
3) Press and hold the UP or DOWN button to move the
shade to the new desired position.
4) To conrm the new limit press and hold the MY
button until the shade jogs.
Readjusting the lower end limit
1) Press the DOWN button to move the shade to the
limit to be readjusted.
2) Press and hold the UP and DOWN buttons
simultaneously until the shade jogs.
3) Press and hold the UP or DOWN button to move the
shade to the new desired position.
4) To conrm the new limit press and hold the MY
button until the shade jogs.

This reset deletes all transmitters programmed, but
end-limits, intermediate position and sensors are
retained.
Only switch off the current for the motor to be reset!
1) Cut the power supply for 2 seconds.
2) Switch the power supply back on for 10 to 15
seconds.
3) Cut the power supply for 2 seconds.
4) Switch the power supply back on: the shade moves
during 5 seconds (If the shade position is an end limit,
the behavior of the shade will be a jog).
5) Press the RTS transmitter (B) PROG button until the
shade jogs: all the RTS transmitter are cleared and the
new RTS transmitter is programmed in the motor.
Find a RTS transmitter programmed in the motor.
Press and hold the programmed RTS transmitter’s
(A) PROG button until the shade jogs: the motor is in
programming mode.
Press briey the RTS transmitter (B) PROG button to
add or delete this transmitter: the shade jogs and the
RTS transmitter is programmed or deleted from the
motor.

Find an RTS transmitter programmed in the motor.
Press and hold the programmed RTS transmitter (A)
PROG button until the shade jogs: the motor is in
programming mode.
Press briey the RTS sensor (C) PROG button to add
or delete this sensor: the shade jogs and the RTS
sensor is programmed or deleted from the motor.
This reset deletes all RTS transmitters,RTS sensors,
end-limits and intermediate position programmed.
Only switch off the current for the motor to be reset!
Before cutting the power, move the shade to the
middle position.
1) Cut the power supply for 2 seconds.
2) Switch the power supply back on for 10 to 15
seconds.
3) Cut the power supply for 2 seconds.
4) Switch the power supply back on: the shade
moves during 5 seconds (If the shade position
is an end limit, the behavior of the shade will be a jog).
5) Press the RTS transmitter (A) PROG button
until the shade jogs twice: all the RTS transmitters,
RTS sensors, end-limits and intermediate position are
cleared.

8. TROUBLESHOOTING
7.1. Questions on the Sonesse®50 RTS?
The motor doesn’t work:
Verify:
• The wiring of the motor.
• The power supply specications.
• The compatibility of the control.
• The heat generated (wait for the cooling of the motor).
The equipment stops too soon:
Verify:
• The operation of end-limits during the motor rotation.
• The crown is properly tted to the tube.
• The end-limits of the motor are properly adjusted.
• That the shade is within the recommended weight limit.
The equipment is noisy:
Verify that:
• The wheel and the crown are well adapted to the used tube.
• The mechanical plays between motor, accessories, tube and end of tube are minimized.
• The wheel is properly xed to the tube.
• The equipment is not constrained between the brackets.
• The length of the notch is adapted to the motor crown or to the used crown.
• Debris, screws or other are not in your tube.
• The power supply specications.
• The temperature of the environment is in conformity with the operating temperature.

l’habitat auquel cette notice est destinée.
• L’installateur doit par ailleurs, se conformer aux normes et à la législation en vigueur dans le pays
d’installation, et informer ses clients des conditions d’utilisation et de maintenance du produit.
• Toute utilisation hors du domaine d’application déni par Somfy est non conforme. Elle entraînerait,
comme tout irrespect des instructions gurant dans cette notice, l’exclusion de la responsabilité et de

1) Couper l’alimentation secteur qui correspond au store
avant toute opération d’entretien autour de celui-ci.
Pour ne pas endommager le moteur :

3) Éviter les chocs !
4) Éviter les chutes !
5) Ne jamais le percer !
6) Éviter les manoeuvres lors de la formation de gel sur le
store.

1) Monter la couronne (a) et la roue (b) sur le moteur.
2) Mesurer la longueur (L) entre le bord intérieur de la
tête du moteur et l’extrémité de la roue.
1) Couper le tube d’enroulement à la longueur désirée.
2) Ébavurer le tube d’enroulement et éliminer les
copeaux.
3) Pour les tubes d’enroulement lisses, découper
une encoche selon les cotes suivantes :
e = 4 mm / 0.16 In h = 28 mm / 1.1 In
1) Glisser le moteur dans le tube d’enroulement.
Pour les tubes d’enroulement lisses, positionner
l’encoche découpée sur la couronne.
2) Fixer le tube d’enroulement sur la roue avec 4
vis ‘un diametre de 5 mm ou 4 rivets pop acier d’un
diametre de 4.8 mm placés à L - 15 mm ± 3 mm.
Attention: Les vis ou les rivets pop ne doivent
pas être xés sur le moteur mais uniquement
sur la roue.
Si nécessaire, visser les supports moteur sur la
tête moteur.
1) Monter l’ensemble tube-moteur sur le support
embout (c).
2) Monter l’ensemble tube-moteur sur le support
moteur (d). Fixer l’anneau d’arrêt (e).

4. CÂBLAGE
1) Couper l’alimentation secteur.
2) Connecter le moteur selon les informations du
tableau ci-dessous:

5. MISE EN SERVICE
1) Mettre sous tension.
2) Appuyer en même temps sur les touches
Montée / Descente du point de commande RTS:
Le store fait un va-et-vient (rapide montée
et descente), le point de commande est préenregistré
dans le moteur.
1) Appuyer sur la touche Montée du point de
commande RTS :
a) Si le store monte (a), le sens de rotation est correct :
Passer au paragraphe «Réglage des ns de course».
b) Si le store descend (b), le sens de rotation est
incorrect : Passer à l’étape suivante.
2) Appuyer sur la touche MY du point de commande
RTS jusqu’au va-et-vient du store :
Le sens de rotation est modié.
3) Appuyer sur la touche Montée du point de
commande RTS pour contrôler le sens de rotation.

Les ns de course peuvent être réglées dans n’importe
quel ordre.
1) Monter le store en position haute souhaitée en
appuyant sur la touche Montée.
2) Appuyer simultanément sur les touches Stop et
Descente jusqu’au mouvement du store. Le n de
course haut est mémorisé.
3) Appuyer sur la touche My quand le store atteint la
position basse souhaitée. Si besoin, ajuster la position
du store avec les touches Montée et Descente.
4) Appuyer simultanément sur les touches My et
Montée jusqu’au mouvement du store.
Le n de course bas est mémorisé.
Le store monte et s’arrête en position haute.
5) Pour conrmer les ns de courses, Appuyer sur la
touche My jusqu’au va et- vient du moteur.
Les ns de courses sont enregistrées.
Après l’enregistrement des ns de courses:
Appuyer sur le bouton PROG au dos du point de
commande RTS jusqu’au va-et-vient du moteur.
Le point de commande RTS est enregistré de
façon permanente.
OU
1) Couper l’alimentation.
2) Remettre l’alimentation. Le store fait un va-et-vient.
3) Appuyer en même temps sur les touches
Montée / Descente du point de commande RTS
jusqu’au va-et-vient du moteur.
4) Appuyer sur le bouton PROG au dos du point de
commande RTS jusqu’au va-et-vient du moteur.
Le point de commande RTS est enregistré de
façon permanente.
Pour enregistrer une position MY, mettre le store
dans la position MY souhaitée en appuyant
sur la touche Montée ou Descente, et ensuite
appuyer sur la touche MY jusqu’au va-et-vient
du store.

6. UTILISATION
Monte, Descente et My
1) Pour déplacer le store d’un n de course
à l’autre, appuyer sur la touche Montée ou Descente.
2) Pour stopper le store, appuyer sur la touche MY.
3) Pour déplacer le store en position MY,
appuyer sur la touche MY.
6.2.1. Fonctionnement avec un capteur soleil
Somfy
Pour cette fonction, vous avez besoin d’un
émetteur Telis Soliris.
Par défaut, la fonction soleil n’est pas activée.
1) Pour activer la fonction soleil, appuyer sur le bouton
sélection de l’émetteur Telis Soliris jusqu’au va-et-vient
du store.
2) Pour désactiver la fonction soleil, appuyer sur le
bouton sélection de l’émetteur Telis Soliris jusqu’au
va-et-vient du store.
Lorsque l’ensoleillement atteint le seuil réglé sur le
capteur Sunis RTS, un ordre de descente est donné au
store après 2 min.
Le store va en position My ou en limite basse si la
position My n’est pas enregistrée.
Lorsque l’ensoleillement est inférieur au seuil
réglé sur le capteur Sunis RTS, le store va en position
haute parès un délai de 15 à 30 minutes.

Comportement du store à l’apparition du vent
À l’apparition du vent, le store se met en mouvement
pour atteindre la n de course haute. Il est impossible
d’empêcher la remontée du store et de descendre le
store tant que le vent soufe.
Comportement du store à la disparition du vent
À la disparition du vent, au bout de 30 secondes un
ordre manuel de descente peut être transmis par
le point de de commande io. Cependant tous les
automatismes restent encore bloqués pendant 11 min.
Nous suggérons de ne pas appairer de capteur
vent au moteur quand celui-ci est utilisé pour
motoriser un store d’intérieur.
Le moteur réagirait en priorité aux ordres du capteur
vent avec un fonctionnement non adapté à un store
d’intérieur.

7. RÉGLAGES SUPPLEMENTAIRES
7.1.1. Modier la position MY
Pour modier la position MY, mettre le store dans la
nouvelle position MY souhaitée en appuyant sur la
touche Montée ou Descente et ensuite appuyer sur la
touche MY jusqu’au va-et-vient du store.
7.1.2. Supprimer la position MY
Pour supprimer la position My, déplacer le store
vers cette position et appuyer sur la touche MY
jusqu’au va-et-vient du store.
Réajustement de la n de course haute
1) Appuyer sur le bouton Montée pour amener le
store au n de course à réajuster.
2) Appuyer en même temps sur les touches Montée et
Descente jusqu’au va-et-vient du store.
3) Appuyer sur la touche Montée ou Descente pour
déplacer le store vers la nouvelle position souhaitée.
4) Pour conrmer le nouveau n de course appuyer sur
la touche My jusqu’au va-et-vient du store.
Réajustement de la n de course basse
1) Appuyer sur le bouton Descente pour amener
le store au n de course à réajuster.
2) Appuyer en même temps sur les touches Montée et
Descente jusqu’au va-et-vient du store.
3) Appuyer sur la touche Montée ou Descente pour
déplacer le store vers la nouvelle position souhaitée.
4) Pour conrmer le nouveau n de course appuyer sur
la touche My jusqu’au va-et-vient du store.

Cette remise à zéro supprime tous les
points de commande par contre les capteurs, les
ns de course et la position favorite sont gardés.
Ne réaliser la double coupure de courant qu’au
niveau du moteur à remettre à zéro.
1) Couper l’alimentation secteur pendant 2 s.
2) Remettre l’alimentation secteur entre 10 s et 15 s.
3) Couper l’alimentation secteur pendant 2 s.
4) Remettre l’alimentation secteur : Le store se met
en mouvement quelques secondes (si le store est en
n de course haut ou bas alors il effectuera un bref
va-et-vient).
5) Appuyer sur le bouton PROG du point de
commande RTS (B) jusqu’au va-et-vient du store.
Tous les points de commande RTS sont effacés et le
nouveau point de commande RTS est enregistré dans
le moteur.
Prendre un point de commande RTS enregistré
dans le moteur.
Appuyer sur le bouton PROG du point de commande
RTS (A) ou du moteur jusqu’au va-et-vient du store :
Le moteur est en mode programmation.
Appuyer brièvement sur le bouton PROG du point de
commande RTS (B). Le store effectue un va-et-vient.
Le point de commande RTS est enregistré ou
supprimé du moteur.
