BKDS-2530は、デジタルビデオスイッチャーDVS-2000Cやデジタ
ルマルチエフェクトDME-3000/7000をパーソナルコンピューターと
接続するためのRS-422Aシリアルインターフェースボードです。
BKDS-2530とオペレーションソフトウェアBZS-2050をパーソナルコ
ンピューターにインストールすると、DVS-2000CやDME-3000/7000
をコンピューターのGUI画面から操作することができます。
BKDS-2530には、次のような特長があります。
CPUと外部機器接続部を分離
本製品は、CPU基板CPU-252と、コントロール端子を装備したPC
インターフェースユニットで構成されています。
CPU-252は、IBMPC/AT1)互換機のISA (Industry Standard
Architecture)バスに接続します。コンピューター側のCPUと基板
上のローカルCPUは、デュアルポートRAMでインターフェースされ
ます。PCインターフェースユニットは、付属の50ピンリモートコント
ロールケーブルでCPU-252と接続して、コンピューターの外部に設
置します。
スイッチャー/DMEのタイムライン機能をサポー
ト
PCインターフェースユニットでは、GPI入出力としてTTL入力4系
統(内2系統は未使用)とリレー接点出力4系統を使用できます。入
力2系統は、それぞれタイムラインのRUNとREWINDのコントロー
ル用です。出力4系統は、タイムラインのイベント管理用としてプロ
グラミングが可能です。また、RS-422A端子を2系統装備している
ため、スイッチャーとDMEを同時にコントロールできます。
CPU-252にはリファレンス信号の入力が可能で、システム内でタイ
ミングを同期させる必要のある場合や、フィールド単位の精度を求
められる場合にも対応できます。

◆システムユニットのカバーの外しかたやCPU-252の装着位置について
は、付属のインストレーションマニュアルをご覧ください。
CPU-252基板を装着する前に
CPU-252基板で設定変更が必要なのは、ジャンパーCOP1のみで
す。基板を装着する前に、以下の作業を行ってください。
1WindowsNTのスタートメニューから「プログラム」→「 管 理
ツール(共通)」→「WindowsNT診断プログラム」の順に選
択を行う。
2WindowsNT診断プログラムダイアログのリソースタブを開い
て、IRQ-10、11、14、15のどれが未使用であるかを確認し、必
要ならばジャンパーCOP1の設定を変更する。

BZS-2050のインストール
オペレーションソフトウェアBZS-2050はフロッピーディスク2 枚に収
納されています。それぞれ、GUIアプリケーション、デバイスドライ
バーの設定ファイルが入っています。また、ユーザーガイドのファイ
ル(日本語版・英語版)を収納したフロッピーディスク2枚が付属し
ています。
GUIアプリケーションをインストールする
1CPU-252を装着したコンピューターの電源を入れ、Windows
NTを起動する。
2フロッピーディスクドライブに「ディスク-1」を挿入する。
3「ディスク-1」内の「Setup.exe」を起動する。
セットアップ画面が表示されます。
4画面の指示に従って、インストールを実行する。
5ダイアログボックス内に「Setupiscomplete.」と表示されたら、
OKボタンをクリックしてインストールを終 了させる。
圧縮されたGUI.zファイルが解凍され、BZS-2050の起動ファイ
ル「2000gui.exe」が作成されます(C:¥ProgramFiles¥2000-
guiフォルダー内)。
デバイスドライバーを設定する
1前項「GUIアプリケーションをインストール する」の手順に従っ
て、GUIアプリケーションをインストール する。
2フロッピーディスクドライブに「ディスク-2」を挿入する。
3「ディスク-2」内の「Setup.exe」を起動する。
セットアップ画面が表示されます。
4セットアップ画面の指示に従って、インストール操作を行う。
5ダイアログボックス内に「Setupiscomplete.」と表示されたら、
OKボタンをクリックする。
圧縮されたファイルDriver.zが解凍され、システムファイル
「cpu252.sys」が作成されます(C:winnt¥system32¥drivers
フォルダー内)。
6WindowsNTを再起動し、「2000gui.exe」を起動する。

Overview
The BKDS-2530 is an RS-422A serial interface board
for connecting the DVS-2000C Digital Video Switcher
and the DME-3000/7000 Digital Multi Effects to a
personal computer. By installing the BKDS-2530 and
its operation software BZS-2050 on a personal
computer, the DVS-2000C and DME-3000/7000 may
be operated using a graphical interface on the
computer.
The BKDS-2530 has the following features:
Separate CPU and external equipment
connection unit
The BKDS-2530 consists of a CPU board (CPU-252),
and a PC Interface Unit which houses the control
connectors.
The CPU-252 connects to the ISA (Industry Standard
Architecture) bus in an IBM PC/AT1) compatible
computer. The computer’s microprocessor and the
local processor on the CPU-252 interface through a
dual-port RAM.
The PC Interface Unit connects to the CPU-252 with a
supplied 50-pin remote control cable, and is physically
located external to the computer.
Support for switcher/DME timeline
operation
The PC Interface Unit can use four TTL outputs (two
of which are currently unused) and four relay contact
outputs as a GPI I/O interface. Two inputs are used
for control of timeline RUN and REWIND. Four
outputs are programmable, for use in timeline event
management. Further, the PC Interface Unit has two
RS-422A connectors, allowing simultaneous control of
both a switcher and a DME.
The CPU-252 can take a reference input, which is
useful when it is necessary to synchronize timing
within the system or when field-by-field precision is
required.

A function which generates a reset signal to reinitialize
the firmware if the firmware hangs. To keep from
generating the reset signal when firmware is running

Connecting the PC Interface Unit
The connection of the computer with the CPU-252
installed to the PC Interface Unit is shown in the figure
below.
The following computer configuration is necessary to
install the BKDS-2530 and its operation software
BZS-2050:
Computer: IBM PC/AT compatible (must be able to
accept full-sized expansion cards)
Processor: 166 MHz Intel1) Pentium2) or better

CPU-252 Installation and Setup
Notes
•Have the CPU-252 installed by a trained service
technician.
•Make sure the PC’s power is off when installing and
setting up the CPU-252.
For more information about removing the PC’s cover and
installing the CPU-252, please refer to the supplied
Installation Manual.
Before installing the CPU-252 board
The only setting that needs to be changed on the CPU-
252 board is the setting of the COP1 jumper. Before
installing the board, do the following.
1From the Windows NT Start menu, select
Programs, Administrative Tools (Common), and
Windows NT Diagnostics.
2Open the Resources tab in the Windows NT
Diagnostics dialog and check to see which of IRQ-
10, IRQ-11, IRQ-14, and IRQ-15 are not in use. If
the COP1 jumper is not set to a free IRQ, set it to a

Installing the Software
The BZS-2050 Operation Software is contained on two
floppy disks. One contains the graphical interface GUI
application and the other contains device driver
settings file. Two more floppy disks are supplied with
the BZS-2050. Those contain the User’s Guide files
(Japanese and English versions).
Installing the GUI application
1Turn on the computer with the CPU-252 installed,
and log in to Windows NT.
2Insert Disk 1 into the floppy disk drive.
3Run “Setup.exe” from Disk 1.
The setup screen will be displayed.
4Follow the instructions on the screen to perform
the installation.
5When “Setup is complete.” is displayed in the
dialog box, click “OK” to end the installation.
The compressed file GUI.z will be uncompressed,
and the BZS-2050 startup file “2000gui.exe” will
be created (in the C:\Program Files\2000-gui
folder).
Setting up the device driver
1Install the GUI application, using the procedure
described above under “Installing the GUI
application”.
2Insert Disk 2 into the floppy disk drive.
3Run “Setup.exe” from Disk 2.
The setup screen will be displayed.
4Follow the instructions on the setup screen to
perform the installation.
5When “Setup is complete.” is displayed in the
dialog box, click “OK”.
The compressed file Driver.z will be
uncompressed, and the system file
“cpu252.system” will be created (in the
C:\winnt\system32\drivers folder).
6Restart Windows NT and run “2000gui.exe”.
