This document will guide you through installing and using your new
throttle. Please read through the entire manual before beginning
installation, and thoroughly inspect the throttle and its components
before using it.
Assemble the throttle

zPower off the bicycle on the HMI display (A).
zUsing a 2.5 mm hex key, loosen and shift the HMI display to install
the throttle (B).
zUsing a 3 mm hex key, open the throttle clamp (C) and mount
the throttle between the HMI display and the grip on the left side
of the handlebar.
zPosition the throttle in a comfortable position for operation, then
using the small Globe torque wrench and a 3 mm Hex bit, torque
the throttle screw (D) to 2 Nm.

zRe-position the HMI display to the desired angle and view, then
using the small torque wrench and 2.5 mm hex bit, tighten the
HMI display bolt (A). Do not over-tighten the bolt.

zLocate the throttle cable connector at the top of the cable wrap
(A). Remove the blind plug (B) and connect it to the throttle’s
connector, ensuring the connection is secured.
Hold on to your blind plug. If the throttle is disconnected, it
is essential to replace the blind plug to ensure the wiring
harness remains weatherproof.
Activate the throttle
zThe throttle must be activated in the app before the throttle will
work.
zDownload the Globe app from your app store.
zConnect your bicycle to the app and, navigate to the settings
screen and activate the throttle.

Using the throttle

zPress down on the th rottle lever (A) to increase your speed.
zRelease the throttle lever (B) to reduce your acceleration and
speed.
Maintenance
zRegularly check the wiring and connections to ensure they are
secure and functioning correctly.
zKeep the throttle clean and free of debris.
zBefore every ride, ensure the throttle is working correctly and not
sticking or becoming stuck in any position.
zIf you experience any problems with the throttle or notice any
damage, discontinue use and contact Rider Care for assistance.
WARNING! Do not use the throttle if it is damaged in any
way or you notice it not functioning properly. In that case,
power off the bicycle and contact Rider Care for assistance.
Safety information
WARNING! Always keep your hands on the handlebars
when riding. Failure to do so may cause you to lose control
and fall.
WARNING! Use of a throttle and the acceleration and
speed it provides may feel unusual at first. Before your
first use, you should become familiar with its function
and practice riding using the throttle in a controlled
environment without cargo or passengers and away from
traffic. Failure to follow this warning may cause you to lose
and control and fall which can result in serious personal
injury or even death.
WARNING! Before installing and activating the throttle
you should familiarize yourself with applicable local laws
and regulations. Rules may vary by country or state and
may include limits on speed/power, license or registration
requirements, mandatory helmet laws and/or minimum
age requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure that
you comply with all applicable local laws and regulations
regarding your use of the bicycle and also wear safety
equipment appropriate for such use.
