Introduction
The STEVAL-MIC008A is an adapter board where two MP23DB01HP digital MEMS microphones are mounted.
The two microphones, mounted with a distance of 30mm, allow to perform some beam forming algorithms able to maximize gain
in some direction.
STEVAL-MIC008A can be mounted on different boards of the STM32H7 discovery kit (for example STM32H735G-DK,
STM32H7B3I-DK, STM32H747I-DISCO).

1 Getting started
1.1 Features
• Ideal to plug in the STM32H7 discovery kits, as:
–STM32H735G-DK
–STM32H7B3I-DK
–STM32H747I-DISCO
•MP23DB01HP is a bottom port digital MEMS microphones with:
– Voltage supply from 1.52 to 3.6 V
– 135 dBSPL acoustic overload point
– Omnidirectional sensitivity
– Two different operation mode (low power and performance mode)
– Sensitivity -41 dBFs ±1 dB
• Power supply coming from STM32H7 board via CN1 connector of STEVAL-MIC008A
1.2 Precautions for use
During the radiated emissions test according with EN 55032, the STEVAL-MIC008A board is compliance with
EMC standards for radiated emissions in class A (industrial environment intended use).

2 How to use
Connect STEVAL-MIC008A using connector CN1 with STM32H7xxx discovery kit. If correctly mounted, the LED
LD1 mounted on the bottom of the board, switches on.
