Drawer Removal (Lateral)
Fully extend bottom drawer. Remove as shown in
fig. 1. Repeat for top drawer.
Using a flat head screwdriver, pry raised bin slot
upward off tab retaining feature lift and remove
drawer from lateral.
Drawer Removal (Pedestal)
Fully extend file drawer. The file drawer must be removed first to
allow clearance for box drawer removal.
Separate the drawer slide members from the cabinet members by
depressing the slide connect levers on the sides of the drawer bin
and pulling the drawer forward (see fig. 2).
Remove the box drawers using method shown in fig. 1.

Drawer Reinstallation (Lateral)
Reinstall top file drawer first. Replace drawer in lateral,
align rear mounting tabs on slides with rear drawer slots
and pull drawer forward to engage tabs (a).
Then align front mounting tabs with the front drawer
slots and push drawer front down to engage tabs (b).
Repeat for bottom file drawer.
Drawer Reinstallation (Pedestal)
Reinstall top file drawer first. Replace drawer in pedestal,
align rear mounting tabs on slides with rear drawer slots
and pull drawer forward to engage tabs (a).
Then align front mounting tabs with the front drawer slots
and push drawer front down to engage tabs (b). Repeat
for bottom file drawer.
Re-align file drawer slides with matching slides
in pedestal and push file drawer back into place.
Quick-release levers will automatically engage.
Close completely. Completely cycle the drawer
by fully opening and closing one time to reset the
ball retainers.

Worksurface Installation for Underworksurface Pedestals and Laterals
1. Remove all drawers (see page 2).
2. Place worksurface over the lateral or pedestal. Secure worksurface to the lateral
or pedestal with four (4) screws supplied.
NOTE: Front edge of the worksurface overhangs the front of the lateral or pedestal
approximately 1/8". When the worksurface is correctly positioned over the lateral or
pedestal, drilling 1/8" diameter pilot hole will ease the attachment of the screws.
NOTE: Pedestal filler available to fill gap between
back of pedestal and front of panel.
3. Reinstall all drawers (see page 3).

Caster Installation for Mobile Pedestals
1. Lay the unit on its back or top.
2. Remove the caster kit from the drawer. The locking
casters go on the front.
3. While installing the caster, angle the plate to go over
emboss 1 & 2 and then under the formed lance.
4. Position the caster plate so emboss 1 & 2 are in the
obround holes in the caster plate.
5. Install one (1) T20 torx drive pan head screw.

Caster Installation for Slim Mobile Pedestals
1. Lay the unit on its back or top.
2. Remove the caster kit from the drawer. The locking
casters go on the front.
3. While installing the caster, angle the plate to go over

4. Position the caster plate so emboss 1 & 2 are in the
obround holes in the caster plate.
5. Install one (1) T20 torx drive pan head screw.

Caster Installation for Hingetop Mobile Pedestals
1. Lay the unit on its back or top.

1. Lay the unit on its back or top.
2. Remove the caster kit from the drawer. The locking

3. Position the caster plate over the smaller hole pattern.
4. Install four (4) T20 torx drive pan head screws.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the rest of the casters.
Insert Shelf Clip and Install Shelf
To insert, angle down so top of clip goes in first.
Then squeeze and place into notch just below.
Make sure all four (4) clips are at same number of
notches high to ensure a level shelf.
Place back of shelf on notches first, then the front.

Drawer Front Alignment
NOTE: Only for minor drawer front
alignment adjustments.
-Extend drawers.
-Use a T20 torx tip to loosen the four (4) screws holding the
drawer front to the drawer body. Two (2) screws near top
and two (2) screws near bottom.
-Adjust drawer front to obtain desired alignment.
-Tighten screws.
NOTE: Ensure adequate spacing so drawer
fronts do not rub against adjacent components.

Lateral File & Open Shelf Lateral File Cabinet
Leveling/Shelf Installation
Access Open Shelf Lateral Leveling Glides
1. Remove the adjustable shelf and clips.
2. Remove the two (2) bottom screws on each side of the unit.
3. Using tape attached to bottom pan, lift tape on bottom
pan to pull up for access to leveling glides. If there is not
tape already attached, use masking tape.

Side-By-Side Ganging Open Shelf Lateral
1. Align and level cabinets.
2. Using tape attached to bottom pan, lift tape on
bottom pan to pull up and remove. If there is not
tape already attached, use masking tape.
3. Remove the two (2) screws on each
side panel towards the back of the unit.
Then remove the side panels.
4. Locate the Ganging Hardware Kit
(included) and drive the four (4) #10 x 1/2"
self-drilling phillips pan head screws
through the channel return flange.

Back-To-Back Ganging Open Shelf

1. Align and level cabinets.
2. Drill four (4) 5/16" diameter holes
through back panel approximately 2"
from top and 1/2" in from inside edges.
3. Locate the Ganging Hardware Kit
(included). Insert four (4) 1/4-20 pan
head screws, add nuts and tighten.

through back panel approximately 2"
from top and 1/2" in from inside edges.
4. Locate the Ganging Hardware Kit
(included). Insert four (4) 1/4-20 pan
head screws, add nuts and tighten.

Counterweight Installation into Freestanding
Lateral Files
1. Remove top and bottom drawers (see page 2).
2. Remove one side of adhesive backing and apply to flat
side of the counterweight and away from hole.
3. Place counterweight on bottom of cabinet with:
- Slotted side down.
- Counterweight hole flush to back of unit.
- Locate inside of cabinet leveling glides.
4. Remove second side of adhesive backing. Double
check position, then rotate counterweight up and against
back of cabinet. The last counterweight is placed in
horizontally against the others.
CAUTION: DO NOT allow tape to contact back panel until
in proper position. The adhesive used is very strong and
may result in visual damage to the cabinet if you attempt to
remove the counterweight.
5. Reinstall lateral drawers (see page 3).

Locker Door Adjustment
1.
This screw adjusts the door in the HORIZONTAL or
the “A” direction.
2.
This screw adjusts the door in the FRONT TO BACK
(depth), or the “B” direction
3. This screw adjusts the door in the VERTICAL or
the “C” direction.
NOTE: Adjust doors so gaps are consistent and straight.

Locker Leveling
Access Locker Leveling Glides
1. Open door, Remove packaged shelves if supplied.
2. Using tape attached to the bottom, lift tape on
bottom pan to pull up for access to leveling
glides. If there is not tape already
attached, use masking tape.
- For Cubby Lockers remove the
lowest door to prevent scratching
and damage. To remove the door
release the latch by detaching hinge.
3. Level the unit. Access to glides is
from inside the locker after
removing the bottom pan.
4. Multipurpose Locker comes with
adjustable Shelves. Remove from
packaging and install shelf clips.

Side By Side Ganging
1. Open door and remove false floor(s) by
pulling up on factory installed tape tail.
2. Align and level cabinets by adjusting
leveling glides. (Recommend using clamps)
3. Using an electric driver install the (4)
#10 x 1/2” self drilling Phillips pan
service holes on the side panels. Two
service holes are located near the top
and two near the bottom on each side
as shown in figure.
4. Insert the (4)cover plug caps on the
top two service holes on each cabinet.
The bottom service holes will be hidden
by the false floor.
5. Remove tape tail and replace false
floor(s)
Back To Back Ganging
1. Open door and remove false floor(s) by
pulling up on factory installed tape tail.
2. Align and level cabinets by adjusting
leveling glides.
3. Drill 5/16” holes through back panel
approximately 2” from top and 1/2”
from inside edges.
4. Insert 1/4” machine screw through
5/16” holes and tighten using the
provided washer and nut.
5. Remove tape tail and replace false
floor(s).

Removal of Plastic Lock Plug and
Installation of Lock Cylinder
1. Pull open plastic plug cover.
2. While pressing the plug retainer tab to the right,
insert a coin or the head of a key into the slot and
turn 90oclockwise. This will unlock the case. You will
hear the lock mechanism open.
3. Push plug retainer tab down and remove plastic
plug from parent unit.
4. Position lock cylinder tab at 45oor 2:00 position.
Insert lock cylinder at a tilted angle so the tab will
collapse.
5. Push lock cylinder into the hole until it stops and
turn the lock plug assembly clockwise 45o(or the
3:00 position) and remove the key.
CAUTION: Make sure you unlock the
case BEFORE proceeding to step 3.

Front Removal of Lock Cylinder
1. Turn lock plug to unlocked position with
conventional key.
2. Insert removal tool into lock cylinder.
3. Rotate lock cylinder assembly slightly in a
counter clockwise direction while at the same
time pulling on removal tool, thus removing the
lock cylinder from the lock assembly.
4. At this time the mechanism inside the lock
assembly may rotate back to the locked position
preventing the installation of new lock plug. If
this occurs, insert a flat-bladed screwdriver into
the back of lock assembly and turn clockwise
unlocking the lock assembly. Insert tool into new
lock plug assembly. Hold tool in a horizontal
position and insert new lock plug assembly into
lock assembly. It may be necessary to hold new
plug assembly with finger while removing tool.
