NOTES:
1. The following assembly steps apply to either a right or left hand 41-ATT unit. A left hand unit is shown for all instructions.
2. A steel top has been shown. When assembling a wood top, the same instructions apply.
3. If the unit is assembled on a non-carpeted floor, we recommend you cushion the top with cardboard.
4. If your unit has been pre-assembled, begin with Step 4.
ASSEMBLING RETURN UNIT END PANEL TO TOP
Place end panel over pre-drilled holes in end of top
and install (2) 1/4 x 1” hex head screws.
NOTE: Use (2) channel spacers when attaching an end panel
to a 4200 top.

ATTACHING BACK PANEL
Fasten back panel to top with (3) #10 x 1/2”
sheetmetal screws. Before tightening screws be
sure to have a 3/32” overhang between the back
panel and end of top.
NOTE: Use (3) “Z” brackets when attaching back panel
to a 4200 top.

INSTALLATION OF BOTTOM PANEL PLATE
Attach bottom panel plate to pre-drilled holes in each
panel (2) #10 x 1/2” sheetmetal screws. Next, attach
plate to back panel using (2) #10-24 x 3/8” machine
screws and hex nuts.

BOTTOM PANEL PLATE DETERMINATION
Shown below are (2) bottom panel plate templates. Place each plate on
like template to determine proper usage and proceed with instructions.

Remove pull from box drawer.4.

Install mounting bracket.5. If you have a drawer with a flush
pull insert mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION OF HANGER BRACKET TO DESK
With your top drawer in an open position, center
hanger bracket over drawer front and tilt to engage
rear clamp flange behind top cross brace of desk
pedestal.
6. Close drawer thus engaging hanger bracket to
outer surface of drawer.

DESK TO RETURN UNIT INSTALLATION
Place end of return unit on hanger bracket
and secure with (2) clip angles and (2) 1/4-
20 x 1-1/4” round head sheetmetal screws.
(For wood top, omit clip angle) Drill (2) 3/
16” thru mounting bracket and into top and
secure with (2) 1/4 x 1” hex head screws.
(For wood top, drill (4) 3/16” holes and use
(4) 1/4 x 1” hex head screws)

BOTTOM PANEL PLATE RETURN UNIT TO DESK INSTALLATION
Remove bottom drawer from your desk. Then secure bottom panel plate to desk with (2) #10 x 1/2” sheetmetal
screws and (1) twin speednut. Assemble drawer back into desk.

Secure bottom flange of back panel to bottom panel plate with (2) #10-24 x 3/8” machine screws and hex nuts.10.
