1 About this product
1.1 Intended use
Flex Media Cart is exclusively designed to be used as office
furniture. Any other use, or use beyond the specified intended
use is considered to be improper
Intended use also includes compliance with all
instructions in the quick guide!
1.1.1 Foreseeable misuse
Improper use of the product can result in danger to life and
limb as well as property damage. For these reasons, improper
use is prohibited. In case of improper use, Steelcase assumes
no liability for any damage that may occur and does not
guarantee that the components will function properly.
Improper use includes:
■Use as a climbing aid.
■Outdoor use.
■Use in damp rooms.
The list does not claim to be exhaustive.

Flex Media Cart brings the power of large-scale display
everywhere teams need it. Effortlessly mobile and able to
support the latest technology, the Flex Media Cart keeps up
with people, projects and organizations on the move.

2.2 Components
Flex Media Cart essentially consists of the following
components:
■Four steel legs with adjustable casters
■Two melamine compartment shelves on an
aluminium bearing structure
■Steel monitor mount
■Cable management: clips and media basket
■Optional: media basket
■Optional: power supply with power strip in media
basket
■Optional: power supply with power strip in media
basket and rack-mounted power supply hub

3 Transport and assembly
3.1 Checking the delivery contents
After unpacking, check the product immediately for damage
sustained during transport and for completeness; inform the
manufacturer of any damage as soon as possible.
3.2 Assembly
Please follow the provided assembly instructions to assemble
the Flex Media Cart.
Attaching accessories
Please follow the provided assembly instructions for attaching
accessories.
Mounting the monitor
Please refer to the manufacturer's assembly instruc-
tions to mount the monitor to the supplied monitor
mount.
The monitor must not exceed 65'' / 165 cm in size, and it
should not weigh more than 30 kg.

4.1 Safety instructions
Flex Media Cart may be used and operated only in perfect
technical condition and in compliance with this user manual.
The casters are best suited to hard floors.
DANGER
Danger due to voltage!
Failure to comply can cause serious injury and death!
}Do not earth electrical equipment to the Flex Media
Cart frame!
}Attach or detach connectors only when the device is
de-energised.
}Rectify defects such as loose connections and
damaged cables immediately.

damage if the Flex Media Cart tips over!
}Do not climb onto the cart!
}Do not sit or stand on the cart!
}Flex Media Cart should be moved slowly and
carefully by adults only.
}Do not push at the upper part of the trolley!
}Do not push or pull with a jerk!
}Do not push at the wide side!
}Flex Media Cart should be pushed only at the
middle of the narrow side.
}When moving, pay attention to obstacles, such as
thresholds and cables.

5.1 Cleaning and care
PLEASE NOTE
Damage to material is possible!
}Only use polishing and cleaning agents that are
suitable for the respective materials (fabrics, wood,
plastics, metals).
You can use commercial cleaning agents to clean the surfaces
of the Flex Media Cart.

6 Disposal
6 Disposal
Dismantling should be carried out by skilled and qualified
personnel only.
If you want to dismantle and dispose of the product
permanently, proceed as follows:
}Disconnect the Flex Media Cart from the mains sup-
ply.
}Dismantle the elements of the Flex Media Cart.
}Separate the resulting parts into
–reusable components
–material groups to be disposed of (wood, metal,
plastic, electrical parts, etc.)
and return them to the recycling process. Follow all applicable
regional regulations.
Also comply with the separate instructions for dismantling /
recycling.

The manufacturer or a specialist retailer usually delivers,
assembles and sets up the product.
The users are instructed by the manufacturer or the specialist
retailer with regard to operation.
Repairs and spare parts
Original spare parts and accessories can be obtained from the

If it is not possible to eliminate faults or malfunctions, please

1.1 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt Flex Medienwagen ist ausschließlich für den
Einsatz als Büromöbel konzipiert. Eine andere oder dar-
überhinausgehende Benutzung gilt als nicht bestim-
mungsgemäß.
Zur bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung gehört auch
das Beachten aller Hinweise aus der Kurzsanleitung!
1.1.1 Vorhersehbarer Fehlgebrauch
Wird das Produkt nicht bestimmungsgemäß verwendet,
können sowohl Gefahren für Leib und Leben als auch Sach-
beschädigungen auftreten. Aus diesem Grunde ist eine bestim-
mungswidrige Verwendung untersagt. Bei nicht
bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung übernimmt Steelcase
keine Haftung für eventuell auftretende Schäden und keine
Garantie für einwandfreies und funktionsgemäßes Arbeiten
der Komponenten.
Mögliche bestimmungswidrige Verwendungen:
■Verwendung als Aufstiegshilfe.
■Verwendung im Außenbereich.
■Verwendung in Feuchträumen.

Flex Medienwagen bringt die Stärken von Großbildschirmen
überall dorthin, wo Teams sie brauchen. Flex Medienwagen
ist mühelos mobil und unterstützt die neueste Technologie. So
kann er mit Menschen, Projekten und Organisationen Schritt
halten, die in Bewegung sind.

3.1 Lieferung prüfen
Nach dem Auspacken ist das Produkt sofort auf Trans-
portschäden und auf Vollständigkeit zu überprüfen und ggf.
Schäden dem Hersteller schnellstmöglich zu melden.
3.2 Montage
Für die Montage des Flex Medienwagens beachten Sie bitte
die beigefügte Montageanleitung.
Zubehör montieren
Für die Montage von Zubehör beachten Sie bitte die
beigefügten Montageanleitungen.
Monitor montieren
Für die Montage des Monitors an die mitgelieferte
Monitorhalterung, siehe Montageanleitung des
Herstellers.
Der Monitor darf maximal 65'' / 165 cm groß sein sowie
maximal 30 kg wiegen.

4.1 Sicherheitsvorschriften
Flex Medienwagen darf nur in technisch einwandfreiem
Zustand und unter Beachtung der Betriebsanleitung benutzt
und bedient werden.
Die Rollen sind am besten für harte Böden geeignet.
GEFAHR
Gefahr durch elektrische Spannung!
Durch Nichtbeachtung kann es zu schweren Verletzungen und
Tod kommen!
}Elektrische Geräte nicht am Flex Medienwagen
Gestell erden!
}Steckverbindungen nur in spannungslosem Zustand
lösen bzw. stecken.
}Mängel, wie lose Verbindungen oder beschädigte
Kabel, sind sofort zu beheben.

Medienwagon!
}Nicht auf dem Wagon klettern!
}Nicht auf dem Wagon sitzen oder stehen!
}Flex Medienwagen ist nur von Erwachsenen
langsam und vorsichtig zu verschieben.
}Nicht am oberen Teil des Wagons schieben!
}Nicht ruckartig schieben oder ziehen!
}Nicht an der breiten Seite schieben!
}Flex Medienwagen nur an der schmalen Seite,
mittig schieben.
}Beim Verschieben auf Hindernisse wie z. B. Schwellen
und Kabel achten.

5.1 Reinigung und Pflege
HINWEIS
Sachschäden möglich!
}Nur Pflege- und Reinigungsmittel verwenden, die für
die entsprechenden Materialien (Stoffe, Holz,
Kunststoffe, Metalle) geeignet sind.
Zur Reinigung der Oberflächen des Flex Medienwagen
können handelsüblichen Reinigungsmittel verwendet werden.
