1 About this product
1.1 Intended use
Flex Media Cart is exclusively designed to be used as office
furniture. Any other use, or use beyond the specified intended
use is considered to be improper
Intended use also includes compliance with all
instructions in the quick guide!
1.1.1 Foreseeable misuse
Improper use of the product can result in danger to life and
limb as well as property damage. For these reasons, improper
use is prohibited. In case of improper use, Steelcase assumes
no liability for any damage that may occur and does not
guarantee that the components will function properly.
Improper use includes:
■Use as a climbing aid.
■Outdoor use.
■Use in damp rooms.

Flex Media Cart brings the power of large-scale display
everywhere teams need it. Effortlessly mobile and able to
support the latest technology, the Flex Media Cart keeps up
with people, projects and organizations on the move.

2.2 Components
Flex Media Cart essentially consists of the following
components:
■Four steel legs with adjustable casters
■Two melamine compartment shelves on an
aluminium bearing structure
■Steel monitor mount
■Cable management: clips and media basket
■Optional: media basket
■Optional: power supply with power strip in media
basket
■Optional: power supply with power strip in media
basket and rack-mounted power supply hub

3 Transport and assembly
3.1 Checking the delivery contents
After unpacking, check the product immediately for damage
sustained during transport and for completeness; inform the
manufacturer of any damage as soon as possible.
3.2 Assembly
Please follow the provided assembly instructions to assemble
the Flex Media Cart.
Attaching accessories
Please follow the provided assembly instructions for attaching
accessories.
Mounting the monitor
Please refer to the manufacturer's assembly instruc-
tions to mount the monitor to the supplied monitor
mount.
The monitor must not exceed 65'' / 165 cm in size, and it
should not weigh more than 30 kg.

4.1 Safety instructions
Flex Media Cart may be used and operated only in perfect
technical condition and in compliance with this user manual.
The casters are best suited to hard floors.
DANGER
Danger due to voltage!
Failure to comply can cause serious injury and death!
}Do not earth electrical equipment to the Flex Media
Cart frame!
}Attach or detach connectors only when the device is
de-energised.
}Rectify defects such as loose connections and
damaged cables immediately.

damage if the Flex Media Cart tips over!
}Do not climb onto the cart!
}Do not sit or stand on the cart!
}Flex Media Cart should be moved slowly and
carefully by adults only.
}Do not push at the upper part of the trolley!
}Do not push or pull with a jerk!
}Do not push at the wide side!
}Flex Media Cart should be pushed only at the
middle of the narrow side.
}When moving, pay attention to obstacles, such as
thresholds and cables.

5.1 Cleaning and care
PLEASE NOTE
Damage to material is possible!
}Only use polishing and cleaning agents that are
suitable for the respective materials (fabrics, wood,
plastics, metals).
You can use commercial cleaning agents to clean the surfaces
of the Flex Media Cart.
