1. GENERAL WARNINGS
1.1 INTRODUCTION
This document has been prepared specically for , with the aim
of providing authorised personnel with the information for carrying out maintenance and repair
operations in the correct manner.
A thorough understanding of the technical data contained herein is absolutely fundamental in
order for the operator to achieve the highest level in professional training.

 

1.2 USEFUL ADVICE

Carefully assess the impressions reported by the Customer regarding the equipment’s operating
faults and ask questions suitable to clarify the signs of the defect.
Clearly diagnose the causes of the problem. This manual provides the fundamental theoretical ba-
sis, which must then be integrated by personal experience and aendance at the training courses
periodically oered by Technogym.
Plan the repair work in a rational manner so as to avoid wasting any time, e.g. collecting spare
parts, preparing tools and equipment etc.
Access the component to be repaired, avoiding any unnecessary operations. On this point, it will
be extremely helpful if you consult the disassembling sequences shown in this manual.
1.3 GENERAL REGULATIONS REGARDING SERVICE WORK
1. Check the serial number of the equipment, comparing it with the one on the work order.
2. Always mark any parts or positions which may be confused with each other at the time of
reassembly.
3. Use original Technogym spare parts and lubricants of the recommended brands.
4. Use special tools where specied.
5. Consult the Technical Newsleers and News Flashes, which may contain more up-to-date
information on adjustments and maintenance than those contained in this manual.
6. Before starting the repair procedure, make sure that the recommended tools are available and
in good condition.
7. For the procedures described in this manual, use only the specied tools.
 


INSTRUCTIONS
Estimated time: 4H. No. of necessary technicians:1.
For the following operations: turn o the device and disconnect the power supply plug from the wall
socket.
2.1 DISASSEMBLING THE REAR GUARD

1.Remove the magnetic emergency
buon (A) and its clip from their
seats.

2. Remove the screw (B) using a 4
mm hexagonal key.

3. Remove the rear guard (C).
4. Using slide pressure, lift the guard
as indicated by the arrows in the g-
ure to the side and remove it.

2.2 DISASSEMBLING THE DISPLAY
1. Remove the screw (1) to the upper right, using a 4 mm hexagonal key.
2. Loosen the two black central screws (3) and (4), using a 5 mm hexagonal key.
3. Loosen the screw (2) to the top left, using a 10 mm fork wrench.
4. Disconnect the cables with connectors that connect the Wellness System key reader, the USB
socket and the I-POD Docking station.

5. Remove the upper frame.

6. Loosen the two screws (a) to the right and left that support the magnetic sensor guard, using a 4
mm hexagonal key.

7. Disconnect the cable that prevents the removal of the guard, from the rear of the display.
8. Remove the magnetic sensor guard.

9. Remove the 4 side screws (a) from the panel assembly, using a ratchet with a 10 mm socket.

10. Disconnect all the cables arriving from the boom from the panel assembly.

11. Remove the display assembly.
2.3 DISASSEMBLING THE CENTRAL HANDLEBAR AND JOYSTICK
1. Remove the screw from the left bole holder
using a 2.5 mm hexagonal key.

2. Open the left post upper guard.
3. Slightly force the lower cover of the right and
left joystick using a small at screwdriver.
4. Remove the lower cover - right and left- indi-
cated by the red arrow.

5. Remove the screw below the right and left
joystick, using a 5 mm hexagonal key.
6. Disconnect the cables that prevent the re-
moval of the central handlebar (left side of the
equipment).
7. Remove the central handlebar.

2.4 REPLACING THE RECEIVER AND JOYSTICK SIGNAL CABLE
Replace the joystick cable 0WCU0322 with the receiver and joystick signal cable supplied in the kit
0WCU0777.
1. Use electrical tape to fasten the 24 pin con-
nector (12x2) to the cable, to make it easier for
the cable to exit from the side frame.
2. Pull out the cable with the black sheathing to
be replaced from the left side frame.
3. Cut the blue faston from the yellow cable to
be replaced. Use a yellow cable as a guide to
insert the new cable 0WCU0777.
4. Insert the cable 0WCU0777 as indicated in the
gure.
5. Remove the yellow cable that acts as a guide.

6. Connect the cables that exit the central han-
dlebar (left side) with the connectors of the ca-
ble  light blue female faston cable
and 5x2 pin connector.
7. Ret the central handlebar, following the
procedure described in this paragraph in re-
verse order.

2.5 ASSEMBLING THE DISPLAY MAGNETIC SENSOR AND HEADPHONE
BOARD
1. Fasten the new headphone board 0WQ00507
to the new guard W0008011, with the two new
screws 0Z000145, using a medium Phillips
screwdriver.

2. Fasten the two display magnetic sensors
0WR00686 to the guard, using two screws
0ZV00090. Fasten the two screws (A) using a
medium Phillips screwdriver.
RUN HIGH KIT cable 0WCU0931xx.

3. Connect the RUN HIGH KIT cable
0WCU0931xx to the UNITY MINI display
board.
2.6 REASSEMBLING THE UNITY DISPLAY AND W0008011 GUARD
1. Position the UNITY display
R0007063 to the frame.
2. Snap in the display on the bay-
onet type frame on the right side
and rest the display on the left
side.
If necessary, loosen the two
central black screws located
at the top on the rear of the
display.
