Controlled Rate Freezer Printer Set-UP
The built in thermal printer internal settings are pre-set at the factory, but if
printer needs to be replaced the settings will have to be adjusted to
function correctly with controlled rate freezer. The steps below go over
process of adjusting parameters.

1. After paper has been installed on printer and plugged in. Review button functions.

2. Below is parameter chart with default settings and required settings to work with
controlled rate freezer (CRF). Keep this page handy to make adjustments easier.

3. Gain access to parameter screen by turning power switch off.
4. Next turn power switch on while pressing ONLINE button. Release ONLINE
button after a list of current parameters starts printing.
5. The print of current settings is followed by the prompts below. To change the DIP
switch settings push the ONLINE button.
“Continue? : Push On-line SW”
“Write?: Push Paper feed SW”
6. “Dip SW1” is printed prompting the input of new settings to dip SW1’s 1 to 8
parameters.
7. Look at previous page table to view settings required before proceeding with dip
SW1 changes. To change switch ON press the ONLINE button once and to turn
OFF press the FEED button once.
Note: The setting is printed out after the ONLINE or FEED button is pushed to
continue to next parameter. The ONLINE LED lights when the ONLINE button is
pressed and the OFFLINE LED will light when the FEED button is pressed. This
is just another way to confirm button is working.
8. After DIP SW1 parameters 1-8 are set, the printer will ask once again
“Continue?” Or “Write?” Repeat steps 5 thru 7 to changed Dip SW2 & Dip SW3
parameters.
9. After setting last Dip SW3 parameter 8, the printer will write new settings to
memory. The ONLINE and OFFLINE button will alternately flash while it’s
saving new settings.
10. The process will be completed when: DIP SW setting complete!! is printed out
and printer returns to online mode.
CAUTION: Never turn printer off while it is writing new settings to memory. Always
wait until “DIP SW setting complete!!” is printed before turning off.
