DESCRIPTION
Surface mount hands free intelligent Videophone using 7” full
colour active matrix LCD monitor for VX2300.
Including 4 buttons: Service, Privacy/Bus relay activation/Cam-
era switch/Call reject, Door-open/Intercommunicating call,
Answer/OFF/Camera recall/Push to talk plus 3 LED’s for visual
indication of privacy, door open services enabled and functions
activated.
Adjustments & programmable options: call tone volume on 3
levels (low, medium, high), speech volume, call tone melody,
number of rings, and privacy duration .
Also includes a local bell function.

PUSH BUTTONS
Service push button
When pressed it links internally the terminals Cand NO on the connection terminals.
Privacy ON-OFF push button
To enable the function press this button
when the videophone is in stand-by. The
service is automatically disabled when the
programmed time expires (the privacy du-
ration time can be programmed) or manu-
ally by pressing again the button.
Activate the outdoor station
2nd output
During a conversation, press this but-
ton once to activate the secondary relay
of outdoor station (only with Art.4304,
4304X, 4384 and 4384X PCB Rev.0.1).
Activate bus relay board
Art.2305
To activate a bus relay, during a
conversation, press this button
quickly as many times as the ad-
dress value of the relay (1..8).
Camera switch push button
During the conversation, press and keep pressed the
button until the camera switches. Repeat the operation
to switch back to main camera.
Call Reject button
During an incoming call, press this button to reject the call. The
visitor doesn’t receive any warning of the call rejected.
Door open push button
Press this button to open the door when you are in con-
versation or you are receiving a call.
Intercommunication push button
For an intercommunicating call, press as many times as the exten-
sion or address value to call (see SW2 Intercommunication Settings).

Answerpush button
On an incoming call, operation of this button allows
the user to answer and converse with the visitor. The
relevant LED will illuminate.
Switch o button
With the system switched on (monitor on), momentary opera-
tion of the button will switch the video monitor o.
The videomonitor will also automatically switch o after a time
delay if the button is not pressed. The relevant LED will switch o.
Camera Recall push button
Press as many times as the DEVICE N. of the door sta-
tion to switch on.
Simplex button
Pressing and holding the button for more than 3 seconds will switch
the videomonitor into SIMPLEX speech mode. Press and hold the
button to speak to the caller ( LED will ash rapidly), release
the button to listen ( LED will ash slowly). If the button is not
pressed for 10 seconds the videomonitor will switch o. The vid-
eomonitor will revert to duplex speech when another call is made.

Privacy on LED
It illuminates when the privacy service is enabled.
Generic use LED
It is controlled from the terminals +DOL and –DOL.
Normally used to signal the door status (open or
closed).

It illuminates when the videophone is switched ON.

PROGRAMMING
The videophone setup consists of the following settings:
• Number of rings;
• Melody selection;
• Privacy duration;
• Unit address (1..99, switches 1 to 7 of SW1);
• Bus Termination (open or close, jumper JP1);
• Intercommunication mode (between apartments or within apartment, switch 1 of SW3);
• Extension address (1..4, switches 2,3 of SW3);
• Slave switch on mode (switch 4 of SW3).
The programming of the number of rings, melody and privacy duration are carried out through the videophone push buttons, all
other settings are carried out on the two dip-switch banks (SW1 and SW3) on the rear side of the video monitor (all the settings can
be done without opening the videophone).
It is necessary to remove temporary the power supply after making any programming changes.
NUMBER OF RINGS, MELODY SELECTION AND PRIVACY DURATION
All programming options are available only when the system is in stand-by.
NUMBER OF RINGS.
• Keep pressed the button until the two LEDs and switch on.
• Press the button for the number of times corresponding to the required number of rings to set. A beep conrms each time
the button is pressed.
• Once the required number of rings is reached, wait approx 5 seconds for the two LED’s to switch o. The new value is stored.

MELODY SELECTION
• Keep pressed the button until the two LEDs and switch on. The unit emits the rst melody.
• Press the button and keep it pressed to listen the next melody. Repeat the operation until the required melody is found.
• Once the required melody is found, wait approx 5 seconds for the two LED’s to switch o. The new melody is set.
Notes:
• All the 10 melodies, except the second one, will play in a lower tone with respect to the tone set.
• The second melody will play in a progressive tone from low to high. When selecting this melody it is advisable to set at
least 4 rings.
PRIVACY DURATION
• Keep pressed the button until the two LEDs and are switched on.
• Press the button for the number of times corresponding to the required privacy duration to set. Each time the button is
pressed, the duration is increased by 15 minutes: i.e. to set 2 hours, press the button 8 times.
Default: innite. Max value: 20 hours. To program innite privacy time don’t press any buttons.
• Once the required privacy time is reached, wait approx 5 seconds for the two LED’s to switch o. The new duration is set.
VIDEOPHONE ADDRESS  SW1.1..7
The table below shows how to set the address of the videophone. Considering that ON = 1 and OFF = 0, multi-
ply each digit for the relevant decimal weight then sum values obtained to get the address: E.g. as highlighted
in the table OFF, ON, OFF, OFF, ON, OFF, ON in binary is equal to 0100101 then multiplying each digit for the
relevant decimal weight you obtain the address that is 37.

POWER SUPPLY VERSION WITH MEMORY BOARD
If the videophone is the only indoor station installed in the system (i.e. one way videokit) the additional power supply unit it
is not required. Set the dip-switch 8 to ON position to enable the supply from the BUS. In position OFF, the memory board supply
must be provided by a local 12Vdc power supply unit like slave videomonitors (see “Slave mode - SW3.4”on page 4).
Note: do not set dip-switch 8 to ON for more than one videomonitor on the same BUS line.
VIDEOPHONE END OF LINE TERMINATION  JP1
Looking at the videophone from the rear:
Move the switch JP1 to the upper posi-
tion to enable the bus termination.
Move the switch JP1 to the lower posi-
tion to disable the bus termination.
In case of more units (intercoms, videophones or video monitors) in a parallel connection (bus wires are connected to the terminals
of the rst unit then from this to the second and so on up to 4 units max) the BUS termination must be enabled only for the last unit
in the chain while on all other units it must be set to disabled.
INTERCOMMUNICATION MODE  SW3.1
This switch establishes the intercommunication mode: in OFF position (default) intercommunication is between units in
the same apartment (same addresses but dierent extension); in ON position the intercommunication is between units
in dierent apartments (dierent addresses).
On installations where there are more than one intercom/videophone in the same apartment and intercommu-
nication between dierent apartments is required, only one intercom/videophone may be set with this function
(SW3.1=ON, SW3.2=OFF, SW3.3=OFF). The other intercom/videophones in the apartment must be set for local intercom-
munication with extension addresses“2-4”(slaves). From the intercom/videophone set for intercommunication with other
apartments it will not be possible to intercommunicate within the apartment but slave extensions 2-4 will be able to inter-
communicate with each other within the apartment.

EXTENSION NO  SW3.2..3
If the intercommunication between apartments is enabled (switch 1 of SW3 = ON)
leave these two switches in default position (both to OFF). Otherwise, if the in-
tercommunication is between the same apartment (switch 1 of SW3 = OFF), set
the extension addresses starting always from 1. During the external call, all video
monitors in the same at will ring but the video will be shown only from the vide-
ophone with extension address 1..
SLAVE MODE  SW3.4
This set up concerns the answering mode of the video monitor when there is more than one unit (max 4) in the same
apartment. OFF (default) = during a call, only the video monitor with extension 1 (master) will show the video. ON =
the video monitor will be switched on independently of the extension address: in this case the video monitor must be
supplied locally using a power supply Art.2321 or Art.AMR-12, see notes on 12M and VA on “Connection Terminals
Signals”table (the local power supply is required for each black & white slave videophone or starting from the third slave
videophone when they are all colour videophones).
If you set for one slave videophone, you must set ON the same switch also for the relevant master videophone..
NOTE: WHEN USING CST2310 CONCIERGE
To enable calling to the concierge and receiving calls
from the concierge; on the master device (SW3 Dip
2&3 OFF), set dip switch 1 of SW2 to OFF and also dip
switch 4 of SW3 to ON. Intercommunication is be-
tween devices in the same apartment.

1. In order to install the videophone, it is necessary to remove the cover, which contains all the electronics, from the base:
insert a 5.5mm at screw driver into the clip Athen rotate clockwise until you listen a “CLICK!”.
Repeat the same operation with the other clip as shown in Fig. 1.
2. Pull outwards the left part of the cover as shown in Fig. 2. Don’t pull the cover straight.
3. Put the base of the unit on the wall at approx 135cm from the nished oor (Fig. 3) to match the points for the xing holes B
(Fig. 4) remembering that the wires E(Fig. 4) must be fed through the large hole F(Fig. 4). If you use the ush mounting box
503, embed it into the wall vertically at approx. 140cm from the nished oor and the base.
4. Following Fig. 4, make the holes B, insert the wall plugs Cand x the base with the screws Dfeeding the wires Ethrough
the hole F. If you have used the box 503, x the base to the wall through the holes Gusing the screws D.
5. As shown in Fig. 5, connect the wires to the removable terminals following the provided installation diagram. Connect the terminal
blocks to the electronics contained in the cover as shown in Fig. 6. Test system before closing.
Contrast and hue trimmers can be adjusted only if the videophone is open. To activate the display and see changes use the
“Camera Recall” function by pressing button.
Note: while testing the system, it is advisable to hold the cover with your hand.
6. Once testing is complete and all the necessary adjustments are made, close the unit as shown in Fig. 7: rst hook in the right
part and then the left part until you hear a “CLICK!”.

Pulsante di risposta
All’arrivo di una chiamata, premere questo pulsante
per rispondere e avviare la comunicazione.
Pulsante di chiusura
Con il monitor acceso e la conversazione in corso, la rapida pres-
sione di questo pulsante spegne il sistema. Lo spegnimento av-
viene comunque a tempo allo scadere del tempo di conversa-
zione. Il relativo LED si spegne.
Pulsante di auto accensione
Premere il pulsante tante volte quant’è il DEVICE N. del
posto esterno da accendere.
Pulsante tx/rx 1 via
Premendo il pulsante per più di 3 secondi (ad impianto acceso), il
videocitofono passa nel modo trasmissione ad una via: per parla-
re con l’esterno occorre tenere premuto il pulsante (il LED lam-
peggia rapidamente), mentre per ascoltare il visitatore occorre
lasciare il pulsante (il LED lampeggia lentamente). Il videocito-
fono torna al funzionamento normale alla successiva accensione.

Si illumina quando il servizio è attivo.

Normalmente, con gli opportuni collegamenti, viene

PROGRAMMAZIONE
L’impostazione del videocitofono include i seguenti settaggi:
• Numero di squilli;
• Suoneria;
• Durata privacy;
• Indirizzo di unità (1 .. 99, switch da 1 a 7 di SW1);
• Terminazione BUS (attiva o disabilitata, switch JP1);
• Modo di intercomunicazione (tra apartamenti o nello stesso appartamento SW3 switch 1);
• Indirizzo di interno (1..4, SW3 switch 2 e 3);
• Modo Accensione Slave (SW3 switch 4).
Numero di squilli, suoneria e durata privacy si programmano tramite i pulsanti del videocitofono, le altre impostazioni vengono
fatte tramite i due banchi dip-switch (SW1 e SW3) sul retro del modulo. È possibile eseguire tutte le impostazioni senza la necessità
di smontare il videocitofono.
Dopo qualunque cambiamento alle impostazioni, togliere temporaneamente l’alimentazione al videocitofono.
NUMERO SQUILLI, SUONERIA E DURATA PRIVACY
Queste programmazioni vanno eseguite con il videocitofono in stand-by.
NUMERO DI SQUILLI
• Tenere premuto il pulsante no a quando i due LED e non si accendono.
• Premere il pulsante per un numero di volte pari al numero di squilli che si vuole impostare. Ogni pressione del tasto è confer-
mata da un bip.
• Terminata l’impostazione, attendere senza fare nulla per circa 5 secondi che il due LED si spengano. Il numero di squilli è memorizzato.

SUONERIA
• Tenere premuto il pulsante no a quando i due LED e non si accendono. Il videocitofono emette la prima suoneria.
• Premere e tenere premuto il pulsante per ascoltare la suoneria successiva. Ripetere l’operazione no a selezionare la melodia
desiderata.
• Terminata l’impostazione, attendere senza fare nulla per circa 5 secondi che il due LED si spengano. La nuova suoneria è memorizzata.
Note:
• Tutte le 10 suonerie, eccetto la seconda, saranno riprodotte ad un volume più basso rispetto alla regolazione impostata.
• La seconda suoneria è a volume progressivo da basso ad alto. Quando si sceglie questa suoneria si suggerisce di congu-
rare almeno 4 squilli.
DURATA PRIVACY
• Tenere premuto il pulsante no a quando i due LED e non si accendono.
• Premere il pulsante per un numero di volte corrispondente alla durata da impostare. Ad ogni pressione la durata viene incre-
mentata di 15 minuti: per impostare 2 ore è necessario premere il pulsante 8 volte.
Default: innito. Valore massimo: 20 ore. Per impostare la privacy su innito non premere nessun pulsante.
• Terminata l’impostazione, attendere senza fare nulla per circa 5 secondi che il due LED si spengano. La nuova durata è impostata.
INDIRIZZO VIDEOCITOFONO  SW1.1..7
La tabella sottostante mostra come impostare l’indirizzo del videocitofono. Considerando che ON = 1 e OFF =
0, moltiplicare ciascuna cifra per il relativo peso decimale quindi sommare i valori ottenuti per calcolare l’indi-
rizzo: Es. come evidenziato nella tabella la sequenza OFF, ON, OFF, OFF, ON, OFF, ON in binario corrisponde a
0100101, moltiplicando ogni cifra per il relativo peso otteniamo 32+4+1 = 37.

ALIMENTAZIONE NELLE VERSIONI CON MEMORIA VIDEO
Se il videocitofono è l'unico posto interno installato nel sistema (Es. videokit monofamiliare) l'alimentatore aggiuntivo non è richie-
sto. Impostare il dip-switch 8 sulla posizione ON per abilitare l'alimentazione dal BUS. Nella posizione OFF, l'alimentazione per la memoria
video deve essere fornita da un alimentatore locale 12Vdc come per i monitor slave (vedi "Modo slave - SW3.4" a pagina 9).
NB: non impostare il dip-switch 8 ad ON per più di un videocitofono sulla stessa linea BUS.
TERMINAZIONE LINEA BUS  JP1
Osservando il videocitofono dalla parte posteriore:
Muovere lo switch JP1 in alto per abilita-
re la terminazione
Muovere lo switch in JP1 basso per disa-
bilitare la terminazione
Nel caso di più unità (citofoni o videocitofoni) collegate in parallelo (i conduttori del bus arrivano ai morsetti della prima unità per
essere rilanciati alla seconda e così via in cascata no ad un massimo di 4 unità), la terminazione deve essere abilitata solo sull’ultimo
videocitofono della catena mentre deve essere disabilitata su tutti gli altri.
MODO DI INTERCOMUNICAZIONE  SW3.1
Questo switch determina la modalità di intercomunicazione: in posizione OFF (impostazione di fabbrica) è abilitata l’in-
tercomunicazione tra unità (stesso indirizzo ma numero di interno diverso) nello stesso appartamento; in posizione ON
è abilitata l’intercomunicazione tra appartamenti (diverso indirizzo).
In impianti dove nello stesso appartamento sono presenti più di un citofono/videocitofono ed è richiesta l’inter-
comunicazione tra appartamenti, solo uno dei citofoni/videocitofoni può essere impostato per questa funzione
(SW3.1=ON, SW3.2=OFF, SW3.3=OFF) mentre gli altri devono essere impostati per l’intercomunicazione locale con indiriz-
zo di interno a partire da“2” (slave). Il citofono/videocitofono così impostato potrà intercomunicare solo con le unità negli
altri appartamenti mentre gli altri citofoni/videocitofoni locali potranno intercomunicare tra di loro.

Se è abilitata l’intercomunicazione tra appartamenti (switch 1 di SW3 = ON),
lasciare questi due switch come da impostazione di fabbrica (entrambi ad OFF).
Se invece è attiva l’intercomunicazione nello stesso appartamento (switch 1 di
SW3 = OFF), impostare gli indirizzi di interno a partire dall’indirizzo 1. Alla rice-
zione della chiamata, tutti i videocitofoni squilleranno, ma il video verrà mostra-
to solo dal videocitofono con indirizzo di interno uguale a 1.
MODO SLAVE  SW3.4
Questa impostazione è legata al modo di risposta dei videocitofoni quando ci sono più unità in parallelo (stesso indirizzo
ma diversi interni). OFF (impostazione di fabbrica) = solo il videocitofono con interno uguale a 1 (master) mostra il video
proveniente dal posto esterno all’arrivo della chiamata. ON = il videocitofono si accende mostrando il video proveniente
dal posto esterno indipendentemente dal numero di interno: in tal caso il videocitofono deve essere alimentato local-
mente tramite un Art.2321 o Art.AMR-12, vedere note di 12M e VA sulla tabella “Segnali Morsettiera di Connessione”
(nel caso di monitor a colori l’alimentazione locale è richiesta a partire dal terzo videocitofono slave).
Quando questo switch viene impostato ad ON per un videocitofono slave, deve essere impostato ad ON anche per il relativo
videocitofono master.
NOTA UTILIZZO CENTRALINO DI PORTINERIA
Sul dispositivo master (SW3 Dip 2,3 = OFF) per abili-
tare la chiama e ricezione chiamata a/da centralino
di portineria settare il Dip4 di SW3 in ON ed il Dip1
di SW3 in OFF.
La funzione“Intercomunicanti”è abilitata tra dispositivi all’inter-
no dello stesso appartamento.

1. Per installare il videocitofono è necessario aprirlo separando la base dal coperchio che ospita tutta l’elettronica dello stesso:
inserire la punta di un giravite piatto da 5.5mm nella clip Adopodiché ruotare in senso orario no a che non si udirà un “CLICK!”.
Ripetere la stessa operazione con l’altra clip come mostrato in Fig. 1.
2. Tirare verso l’esterno la parte sinistra del coperchio come mostrato in Fig. 2. Non tirare il coperchio in direzione dritta.
3. Appoggiare a parete la base del videocitofono ad una altezza di circa 135cm dal pavimento nito e prendere i riferimenti per i
fori di ssaggio B(Fig. 4) tenendo presente che i conduttori E(Fig. 4) devono passare attraverso l’apertura F(Fig. 4). Se per
l’uscita da parete dei conduttori si utilizza la scatola da incasso 503, murare la stessa in posizione verticale lasciando circa 140cm
tra la base e il pavimento nito.
4. Facendo riferimento alla Fig. 4, realizzare i fori B, inserire al loro interno i tasselli ad espansione Ce ssare la base del videocito-
fono alla parete tramite le viti Davendo cura di passare i conduttori Eattraverso la fessura F. Se è stata utilizzata la scatola da
incasso 503, ssare a parete la base tramite i fori G(a passo con le linguette di ssaggio della 503) utilizzando le viti D.
5. Come mostrato in Fig. 5, eseguire il collegamento dei conduttori alle morsettiere mobili secondo lo schema fornito a corredo. Con-
nettere le morsettiere all’elettronica ancorata al coperchio del videocitofono come mostrato in Fig. 6. e procedere al test dell’im-
pianto prima di chiudere il videocitofono: i trimmer di regolazione del contrasto e saturazione immagine sono accessibili solo a
videocitofono aperto. Per attivare il display e vedere i cambiamenti usare la funzione“Auto-accensione” premendo il pulsante .
N.B. durante il collaudo è necessario sostenere manualmente il peso del coperchio.
6. Una volta testato l’impianto ed eettuate le necessarie regolazioni, procedere alla chiusura del videocitofono come mostrato in
Fig. 7: agganciarlo prima nella parte destra quindi nella parte sinistra no allo scatto dell’incastro.
