design, function and conformity with qua ity standards guar
antees re iabi ity and convenience in the use of the bag ess
vacuum c eaner.
The vacuum c eaner is equipped with a HEPA fi ter (the fi ter
traps dust partic es 0.3 micrometers and arger), insta ed in
the dust container.
HEPA fi ters effective y trap partic es ike spores, ash, po en,
bacteria and microscopic dust partic es. This prevents respi
ratory system irritation among chi dren and peop e suffering
from a ergies or asthma, or who are especia y sensitive to
a ergens.

USAGE I STRUCTIO S
IMPORTA T SAFETY MEASURES
When using e ectric home app iances, you shou d a ways
observe standard precautions, inc uding the fo owing:

To reduce risk of fire, e ectric shock or serious injury:
1. Do not eave the vacuum c eaner unattended when it is
p ugged into a power out et. A ways remove the p ug from
the out et when you are not using the vacuum c eaner or
before servicing it.
2. To reduce the risk of e ectric shock, do not use the vacuum
c eaner outdoors or on wet surfaces.
3. Do not a ow chi dren to use the vacuum c eaner as a toy.
Pay specia attention when chi dren or handicapped per
sons are nearby.
4. Regu ar y check the power cord. If you notice any defects
in the power cord, do not use the device.
5. To rep ace the power cord or repair the device, contact an
authorized service center.
6. Use this device on y for home c eaning purposes and in
accordance with the usage instructions.
7. Do not use the power cord as a carrying hand e, do not

c ose the door if the power cord passes through the door
way, and keep the power cord away from sharp edges or
corners. Do not run the vacuum over the power cord-you
might damage it. Keep the power cord away from heat
sources.
8. Do not pu the cord to unp ug the device from the power
out et. Instead, grasp the p ug.
9. Do not touch the p ug with wet hands.
10. Do not cover the input and output openings. Never turn
on the device if either of the openings is b ocked. Remove
accumu ations of dust, int, hair, and other trash often to
ensure norma suction.
11. Keep hair, oose c othing, fingers and other parts of the
body away from the suction openings.
12. A ways turn the vacuum c eaner off first with the on/off
button, and on y then unp ug it from the power out et.
13. Be especia y attentive when vacuuming on stairs.
14. Never use the vacuum c eaner on f ammab e iquids such
as petro , so vents, and never use it where such iquids are
stored.
15. Never use the vacuum c eaner on water or other iquids,
burning or smoke-emitting cigarettes, smo dering ashes
or fine dust such as from stucco, cement, f our or cinder.
This might serious damage the e ectric motor. Note a so
that such substances are not covered by the warrantee.
16. Do not use the vacuum c eaner without the dust container
and fi ter unit attached.
17. When unwinding the power cord, ho d the cab e in your
hands and don't et the p ug hit the f oor.

SAFETY PRECAUTIO S
If suction power decreases abrupt y whi e c eaning, immedi
ate y turn off of vacuum c eaner and check the te escoping
tube or f exib e hose for foreign objects. Turn off the vacuum
c eaner, then unp ug it from the power out et. C ear the
obstruction and on y then proceed with c eaning.
• Do not use the vacuum c eaner in the immediate vicinity of
very hot surfaces, next to ash trays, or where f ammab e
iquids are stored.
• Insert the p ug into the out et on y with dry hands.
• Before beginning to c ean, remove sharp objects from the
f oor to avoid damage to the fi ter unit.
• When pu ing the p ug from the out et, a ways grasp the
p ug, not the power cord.
ASSEMBLI G THE VACUUM CLEA ER
Comp ete y unpack the vacuum c eaner and check it for dam
age. Factory defects or damage occurring in shipment are
covered by the VITEK warranty.
Before turning on the vacuum c eaner, make sure that the
vo tage of the e ectrica system matches that of the vacuum
c eaner.
A ways turn off the vacuum c eaner and unp ug it from the
out et before changing the brushes/attachments, and before
performing maintenance on it.
1. Attachin and removin the flexible hose (drawin 4)
Insert the f exib e hose (3) into the air opening ocated on the
front of the vacuum c eaner housing. Insert the hose unti it
snaps, confirming a proper connection.
To remove the f exib e hose, press the fixation button and
disconnect the hose.
2. Attachin the extension tubes and brushes
- Attach the te escoping extension tube to the f exib e hose
(drawing 1). Extend the ower part of the te escoping tube
to the desired ength by pressing the fixation button (draw
ing 2).
