Important Safety Instructions
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
To avoid the risk of re, explosion, or electric shock, this product should
be installed, inspected, and maintained by a qualied electrician only, in
accordance with all applicable electrical codes.
To avoid electric shock:
1. Be certain electrical power is OFF before and during installation and
maintenance.
2. Luminaire must be connected to a wiring system with an equipment-
grounding conductor.
To avoid explosion:
1. Make sure the supply voltage is the same as the rated luminaire
voltage.
2. Do not install where the marked operating temperatures exceed the
ignition temperature of the hazardous atmosphere.
3. Do not operate in ambient temperatures above those indicated on the
luminaire.
For supply connections use wire rated for at least 90°C (194°F)
Warning: these luminaire should ONLY be installed by a qualied electrician.
LIGHTED LAMP IS HOT!
WARNING – TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE OR INJURY TO PERSONS.
1. Turn o/unplug and allow to cool before reducing lamp.
2. Lamp gets HOT quickly!
3. Do not touch the hot lens, guard or cowl.
4. Keep lamp away from materials that may burn.
5. Do not touch lamp at any time.
6. Use a soft cloth.
7. Oil from skin may damage lamp.
8. Do not operate the xture with a damaged or missing lens or shield.

Remove Stem Top

Loosen the stem top and remove
it from the top end of the stem.

Insert the bulb with the correct
wattage and type marked on the
xture label and push rmly into
place.
CAUTION: Do not exceed maximum
wattage marked on luminaire label.

Thread the stem top onto the
stem and hand tighten until
snug.

Install Stake and Conduit

Dig a hole in the ground for the conduit runs and the stake. Install the
conduit. Slide the stabilizer grid onto the stake and secure with the
screws. Place the stake over the conduit runs then backll against the
mounting stake.

Thread the cap onto the Junction

Remove the cover from the junction
box by loosening the screws. Place
the xture supply wires into the
junction box.
Thread the junction box onto the
bottom of the xture and hand
tighten until snug.

Pass the main supply cable into
the junction box. Place the cap
back onto the stake and secure
with the previously removed
screws. Tighten until snug with a
screwdriver.

Wire Connection

Strip the leads from the xture supply wire and main supply cable. Using
wire connectors (sold separately), connect the leads from the xture
supply wire to the main supply cable leads. Then, connect the ground
wires to the ground screw in the junction box.
After wiring, carefully tuck the slack wires into the junction box. Attach
the cover back onto the junction box and secure with the previously
removed screws.

Place the hat onto the stem top and secure it with the nial, or thread
the hat onto the stem top directly. Hand tighten until snug.

Install/Replace Bulb
Disconnect the power, before replacing the bulb. Then remove the nial,
hat and stem top to expose the bulb and replace it with the correct
wattage and type marked on the xture label. Then, reinstall the stem
top, hat and nial.
IMPORTANT: Bulbs must be protected from moisture and dust at all
times. Always reinstall the stem top and hat when removed.
