WMS WebControl pro
1.2 Intended use
WMS products make it possible to connect different devices like sun shading
products and lighting equipment as well as window drives and sensors.
CAUTION
The WMS WebControl pro is for indoor use only. It is not water-proof.
The operating range of radio remote controls is limited both by legal regula-
tions for radio systems and structural factors. Sufficient radio reception must
be ensured when planning the project. This is especially the case where the
radio signal has to pass through walls and ceilings. The control should not
be installed in the immediate vicinity of metal components (steel beams, rein-
forced concrete, fire doors).
Therefore, check that the unit is functioning properly before installing/setting
it up permanently. Both the WMS WebControl pro and the WMS components
being controlled must have excellent radio reception.
1.3 Target group
These instructions are intended for persons who wish to operate their sun
shading products using an app or browser.
1.4 Additional documents
These instructions provide the information necessary to configure
the WMSWebControl pro. The following document is available in addition to

2 Functions
The WMS WebControl pro allows you to conveniently operate WMS products
via mobile devices in your own WLAN network and via the WAREMA Cloud
when out and about.
Separate apps are available free-of-charge for iOS devices, such as iPhone
and iPad, and also for Android devices (smartphone, tablet).
You can also control WMS products via the browser on your laptop or PC.
Use the app/browser to manage multiple WMS WebControl pro devices in
the same WLAN with various WMS networks (also suitable for larger office
buildings).
You can create, change and delete rooms, channels and scenarios, and as-
sign names for these. These project data are stored in the device itself.
You can create 50rooms with up to 300channels and scenarios. A maxi-
mum of 32scenarios can be created in total. One WMS WebControl pro can
manage up to 200 devices.
You can use a browser to create a backup copy of the project or run a firm-
ware update. Optionally, the WMS WebControl pro can also run updates au-
tomatically at preset times.
An Amazon Alexa skill is available for the WMS WebControl pro.
2.1 System clock
The WMS WebControl pro can be used as a system clock. When this func-
tion is activated, the WMS WebControl pro sends the time to the network at
regular intervals. All network components that perform time-controlled func-
tions or have their own clock function use the time set in the WMS WebCon-
trol pro.
The WMS WebControl pro is able to switch between summertime and winter-
time automatically if desired.
This function must be parameterised for the WMS WebControl pro when the
project is created in WMS studio pro.
When the radio network is formed later on, the current PC time is automati-
cally transferred to the corresponding WMS WebControl pro.
In a WMS network, this function can only be activated for one device at a
time. Otherwise, the different times can cause the system to malfunction.
2.2 Astro function
The WMS WebControl pro is able to control receivers depending on sunrise
and sunset. The astronomical data (location and calendar day, parameterisa-
tion via WMS studio pro) is required for the calculation.
The move command, e.g. DOWN, is based on the date, time and summer-
time/wintertime. A time difference of up to 30 minutes before or after can be
parameterised for the calculated times.
The time difference between the move commands and the actual sunrise or
sunset can be adapted at any time via the apps.

3 Commissioning via WMS studio pro
The WMS WebControl pro is configured via WMS studio pro in the project
itself. A WMS Stick is required for this. When the data are transferred to the
devices later on, the entire configuration is transferred.
3.1 Parameterising operation
The interface structure of the operation side is parameterised here.
The maximum number of rooms (logical groups) is 50. The receivers are
assigned to these rooms. Receivers can be created individually or together in
channels. Scenarios, to which any receivers can be assigned, can be created
in addition to the channels. When a scenario is called up, the actions param-
eterised here are executed.
3.2 Parameterising control modes
The control functions are parameterised in the receivers themselves. The re-
ceivers perform these functions independently. The control functions
can only be switched on and off via the WMS WebControl pro.
The WMS WebControl pro has its own time switch, and this can be activated
in the Settings tab (see Chapter 3.3).
Commissioning

warema_2035145_alhb_en_v2•2021-04-01 We reserve the right to make technical modifications 11
The time switch in the WMS WebControl pro is also called a "central time
switch". The switching times specified here are relayed to the receivers as
move commands.
For additional information, see also Chapter 8.3.5 auf Seite 28.
If you decide to use the central time switch, the time switch commands
parameterised in the receivers will be deactivated.
The control timer for activating and deactivating control functions is still
managed decentrally in the receivers.
3.3 Parameterising settings
The basic settings for the WMS WebControl pro are made here.
Using the WMS WebControl as a system clock
Use of the central time switch
Geographical data on the location
(this is required if the WMS WebControl is to execute actions depending on
sunrise and sunset)

4 Calling up in the browser
The WMS network is ready for operation once all the components in the
WMS network have been connected via WMS studio pro and are supplied
with power.
Call up WMS WebControl pro from a PC in the same WLAN from the brows-
er: enter "http://webcontrol" into your browser address bar.
The WMS WebControl pro interface appears.
If the interface does not appear, the router has not recognised the
web address of the WMS WebControl pro. Read the IP address (e.g.
192.168.0.100) of the WMS WebControl pro from the client table for your
router (router handbook). Enter this number into your browser address bar.
5 Installing the WMS WebControl pro app
Separate apps are available free-of-charge for both iOS and Android devices.
In the App Store/Google Play Store, download the WMS WebControl pro
app onto the devices via which you want to access the WMS WebControl
