ARNINGW
It is important to comply with the following
points in the interest of personal safety.
Children may not play with the operating elements of
the control unit or the remote control. Store remote con-
trols out of reach of children.
Make sure that no persons or objects are in the path
of the driven parts (venetian blinds, external venetian
blinds, etc.).
Disconnect the device from the operating voltage if
cleaning or other maintenance work must be per-
formed.
ARNINGW
The Omnexo Central control unit may only
be operated with safety extra low voltage.
Installation
The device is intended for installation in a distribution
cabinet. The device is mounted by clipping it onto a DIN
rail (TH 35-15).
Electrical connection
An on-site overload current protection device (fuse) and a
disconnecting and isolating switch to switch off the entire
unit must be provided.
The electrical connection is made as shown in the wiring
diagram on the reverse side (Fig. 4), the connection to the
bus system and the drives is made using spring terminals;
the connecting lines are designed as screw terminals.
 The bus lines must be provided with terminating
resistors at the beginning and end of the line.
 HUBs are needed for longer line lengths.
WARNING
After installation, all terminals and con-
nections under current must be covered
completely against touching by the switch
panel. It should not be possible to open
the switch panel cover without using tools.
General information

The Omnexo Central control unit is an electronic device to
control sun shading products and window drives.
It can conveniently be operated using a mobile device or
PC/MAC.
The central control unit is supplied by an external 24 V DC
power supply unit.
Intended use
The Omnexo Central control unit is an electronic system
for switching and controlling different devices such as
sun shading products window drives. The approval of
the manufacturer must be obtained for any use of the
device other than its intended purpose specified in these
instructions.
Safety instructions
ARNINGW
The electrical installation (assembly)/
dismantling must be performed by a
certified electrician in accordance with
VDE0100 and/or with the standards
and legal requirements pertaining to
the respective country. The electrician
must observe the installation notes and
instructions included with the electrical
devices supplied.
ARNINGW
If hazard-free operation cannot be assumed,
the device must not be started or must be
deactivated. This assumption is justified if
the housing or the connecting lines show
signs of damage
the device is no longer working.

Central control unit function
You will find a detailed description of the software functions for the Omnexo Central control unitin the Omnexo app. The
app is available to download at www.warema.com/en/omnexo.
Network
All components of the control communicate with each
other via an RS485 bus system. Careful planning of the
network prior to installation saves you elaborate and time-
consuming adjustment work.

 Please observe the following items regarding the
network structure:
A maximum of 1 control panel, 500actuators,
16weather stations may be used in one system.
When using 100actuators or more, one hub is required
per 100devices.
One hub is required after every 1200m of line length.
Only one line structure is permitted.
Stub lines are only possible with hubs.

Commissioning
After the installation has been completed and the supply
voltage is applied, the device must be taken into service
using the Omnexo software.
Download to Omnexo app from the corresponding app
store. Alternatively, Omnexo can also be taken into service
using a PC/MAC.
Android iOS
"DHCP" must be enabled on the router in order for
the IP address to be assigned automatically.
 Connect to the WiFi hotspot:
press the grey WiFi on/off button on the central control
unit.
The individual WPA key can be found on the label
of the Omnexo Central control unit.
Standard IP address for connecting to the Wi-Fi
hotspot: 192.168.2.1
 Launch the Omnexo software on
your device (tablet, smartphone, PC).
 Start set up.

Alternatively, you can also integrate the Omnexo Central control unit into your own network via an ethernet con-
nection.
You will find a detailed description on further commissioning in the Omnexo software under "Help".

Getting started
Microsoft Internet Explorer is no longer supported. Use one of the currently available browsers
(e.g. Microsoft Edge).
There are three ways to configure and operate the central control unit
App for mobile devices (Android/iOS)
Web app (currently available browser, e.g. Microsoft Edge) http://omnexo
Desktop app
Access data ex works:

 Launch the Omnexo software.
The following views will appear:

Operation via the cloud
The Omnexo Central control unit can also be operated outside of the connected network via the WAREMA Cloud.
Requirements:
A WAREMA plus account
A mobile device on which the Omnexo App is installed
The Omnexo Central control unit is located in a network with an Internet connection
Cloud access has been activated in the Omnexo Central control unit.
A WAREMA plus account is required to use the WAREMA Cloud.
 Register on plus.warema.com and create an account.
Select Registration method and follow the instructions. Confirm the verification when prompted.
In order to use cloud access on the Omnexo Central control unit, you need to log into the cloud using your device.
Start the Omnexo app on your device.
 Activate cloud access under the menu item "Cloud".
 Follow the instructions on the screen.
Deactivate cloud access if you only want to operate within the connected network.
Factory mode
To switch the device to factory mode, press down and hold the WLAN on/off button (>5 s) during PowerUp (keep button
pressed down during PowerUp).
All project data and configurations will be lost if you perform a reset in factory mode.

Maintenance
There are no parts inside the device that require
maintenance.
Cleaning
Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use
detergents, cleaning agents, solvents, abrasive substances
or steam cleaners!
Liability
Failure to comply with the product information in these
instructions and any use of the device other than its
intended use may result in the manufacturer refusing to
honour warranty claims for product damage. In this case,
liability for secondary harm to persons or damage to
property will also be excluded. Observe the information in
the operating instructions for your sun shading system. The
automatic or manual operation of the sun shading system
while iced over and the use of the sun shading system
during severe weather may cause damage and must be
prevented by the operator through suitable precautions.
Obligations for the disposal of electrical
devices
A marking with this symbol indicates the following
obligations under the scope of legal regulations:
 The owner of this electrical device must dispose of it
separately from unsorted municipal waste for further
recycling.
 Used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed
in the old device, as well as lamps/bulbs that can be
removed from the old device without breaking, must be
disposed of separately.
 Distributors of electrical devices and disposal
companies are obliged to take back the equipment free
of charge.
 The owner must take it upon themselves to delete any
personal data contained in the electrical device prior to
disposal.
