Auto Provision Manual for WELL 3195IF and
3130IF
Summary:
This documents will show you how to auto provision works and how to make auto provision work. The process of a
successful auto provision is :
1, Obtain a server address in which store the configuration files.
2, Download the configuration files from the configured server.
3, Resolve and apply the configuration written in the configuration file.
4, Do other updates, for example the firmware updating.
Step 1: Obtain the server address.
After phone boots up, you should configure the server address for this device, so it will update after reboot or
update at time interval, this can set by yourself from phone.:
In the maintenance page, AUTO PROVISION sub page, current Config Version show you the current Configure
file version.
ServerAddress, you can configure the server address here (HTTP,TFTP or FTP).
Username and Password you should set this when you select the FTP update mode.
Config File Name: fill the configure file name here , then phone can request from server.
Config Encrypt Key: Fill the Encrypt key if have.
Protocol Type: you can configure the Protocol type here.
Update Interval Time : you can set the update interval by hour.
Update Mode: you can set the update mode to update after reboot or update at time interval.
Step 2: Download configuration files
After setup the Server which use to store the configure files. Then to Download the configuration files.
If you select HTTP server, you can set a free simple HTTP server, as below: also you can select other HTTP server.
If you select FTP server , also you can set a free simple FTP server, as below, also you can select other FTP server.
When you select TFTP mode the same method as HTTP or FTP server.
After done, Phone can send request to Configure file sever, and update the configure files.
Step 3: Resolve and then apply the configuration
After device download configure files from server successfully, the next step, device will resolve and apply the
configuration automatically.
If the downloaded configuration files have been encrypted, the specified Encrypt key will be needed. The specified
Encrypted key is for decrypting the common configuration files. The Keys supported characters are: 0~9,a~z,A~Z,and
the following special characters:# $ % * + - : = ? @ [ ] ^ _ { } ~ .
In a configuration file, there are the texts defining configurations , here is the brief description to the texts.
In the configuration file there will show the current value for each options, detail information please check Appendix
I.
Step 4: Do others updates
For the other update such as firmware update, also you need to configure In the MAINTENANCE page (UPDATE
sub page):
You can use two modes to update the firmware, web mode or FTP mode.
